LOL!!

Here is another proverb that fits well into NATO with Turki relationship

"Mistress expects and wants more from a man than his real wife".

Turkey is mistress at best to NATO and it will soon find out.

Putin has made a wise decision , to hit where it hurts the most ,and thats economically . . No travel and to Turkey and more.

Then Turkey closes the Bosporus and Putin went to the trouble of invading Crimea for nothing.

I don't think that matters much ... this isn't about economics, it's about the airspace over Syria, and the Russian ability to control it or not.

Look at it this way, Russia fights ISIS makes big headway ... everybody loves Su35, everybody wants them. Russia gets big deals with China, they want a lot of them.

Turkey shoot ... one Russian plane down, maybe two ... two helicpoters destroyed.

Uh ho ... hmmm, maybe Iran and all the others are gonna think "hmmm, maybe I should buy an F-16 instead".

Let's see if Putin can play this game of "chicken" or not.

Ok - so they barely violated Turkey airspace and where just operating near the Turkish border.

If this is true, than Turkey is the one violating Syrian airspace considering that they had to go into Syrian airspace in order to take down the Flankers.

If I were Putin, I would be really pissed. This is more than agression by Turkey - it's almost a war declaration to Russia.

WTF is wrong with the Turks. Is ISIS now in full control in Turkey?

Europe is so done!

WW3 here we come.

Right .

That's why Turks asked NATO and got the green light to down the plane .

NATO's SOVERIGNTY is up for grabs , the NATO AUTHORITY is being challenged and the answer is given .

We're just waiting for some people to get with the facts .

But it's Turkey which violated Syrian Airspace?

The two SU's where just operating NEAR the border. That's hardly a violation of airspace.

I am neither pro-russia nor pro-turkey but Turkey is playing with more than a burning flame that will affect all of us. Considering that they supporting ISIS in every way .. why would we put any trust into Turkey over Russia?

Not true, read the updated news.

US also confirmed that they were operating half a mile from the Turkey airspace. There is no indication that they ever flew into Turkey.

Really?

What a deluded individual ... you think that creating something like ISIS is good ... not to mention the Turkey route for ISIS and other terrorist cells to infiltrate Europe?

No thank you ... if you ever rule the world, I will absolutely support the side that will turn this planet into a celestial glass ball.

Turks secured the south east flank of NATO over 50 years .

If NATO doesn't react with downing the Russian plane then what's next ? Belarus ? Estonia ? Cuba ?

Say bye bye to sucking the blood of Central Asians and Caucasians .

Look French will make a deal , go ahead Poland - Germany - Rome awaits .

There was no need to shoot it down even if it was in their airspace - what harm was it doing?

An armed jet fighter flies into your airspace with no advance notice and doesn't respond to multiple warnings - go on, think about it, how do you know what its intention is - sheeesh, if an armed Chinese jet flew over American airspace with no notice and did not respond to warnings and American forces did not neutralise the potential threat almost everyone on ATS would say what the hell was Obama thinking? Why do you think different standards apply over the airspace of a different country?
