This is just breaking. 8 dead in a mass shooting at a Charlseton SC church Suspect is still on the loose.

Prayers go out for them, how terrible.

I am there. My friend's a bartender at the hotel where they are bringing in the families of the victims.

Apparently It was a white guy who walked into an all black church and just started shooting.

I am less than a mile away right now.

ETA: 8 is the number she gave me for dead.

They have police and dogs searching for him. They don't know who he is. As far as I know terrorist is an odd label, I haven't seen anything about motivation yet.

Won't be that big of a search imo, but yes he is, and the search is big.

Really hope this isn't spun into a racial issue...that is unless they actually find KKK paraphernalia in his house or something...

A white male allegedly walked in and killed 8 black church goers..
Additionally: "Emanuel AME is the oldest black church south of Baltimore. Played an important role in abolition & civil rights"

How else can it be spun other than a racially motivated attack?

I know assumptions don't get much love here,
But this shooters appearance fits a particular profile that we've seen before.
Seriously (coming from a thin white guy) - why are so many of the US mass shooting perpetrators skinny white guys??
