So....this is absolutely crazy to me....I can't balance a damn thing to save my life, yet this guy makes it look like nothing.

Pretty amazing video of him balancing river rocks. I put this in this forum because I would like to understand a couple things from anyone who may know...how can these be balanced like this and what is the significance, if any, of him pouring water over a lot of them when he finishes?

Anywho...enjoy this amazing video

That is incredible!

I would like to know how he does it..

Some of it might be the photography, but balancing the rocks that way leaves me puzzled..

If there is more to it than just fancy trick photography, I'm wondering what it is.

It is very good use of video skills though.

The rock bridges are what really get me...that and the big one that looks like a hot air balloon....just a sick talent that I wish I had and could teach my kids...they would flip!

That's very cool. Looks like a form of meditation. Makes me want to try it.

I call fake...maybe this is some artistic version of art but just because it's on youtube does not make it real...tons of cut scenes....

I would have to see it in person.
I suspect that there is some digital wizardry going on here.

Lots of patience

and what is the significance, if any, of him pouring water over a lot of them when he finishes?
To show that the balance isn't precarious; the sculptures withstand some outside force before falling over.

Not trying to be smart, but the bridges/arches you could have a go at...it's the other stuff that's boggling,

Nice input. Lots to ponder there.

Anyone who has hiked the AT can find lots of these all over. Rarely as impressive as in the video, but I've seen lots just sitting out in the middle of the woods.

Outstanding reply.
I am not calling BS on this one, see what I did there?

I just see a very talented person with one hell of a lot of patience and a wonderful ability to judge the equilibrium points necessary to create these structures.

Thanks for sharing OP
An S+F of course.

LOL! You're probably right. And when it inevitably fell down, I'd probably growl and bite someone... I'll take a pic if I do it, though...

Patience AND time it seems. I like things I create to last, it is an unusual person who puts such effort into transient creations.

I think the water was simply to enhance the beauty of the stones in the photographs.

Can anyone else do this?

Notice in the beginning he shows us handling a rock and then the actual balancing is skipped and we see him handling another rock… but always discontinuous. If we could see him set the rock down and take his hands off it and it stay there… from more than one angle.

Otherwise, hoax…
