Too bad god didn't keep the kid from falling in the water in the first place. I guess he wouldn't get much praise for that though.

Oh, but I forgot he gave people free will...err...sort of.

Like I said; "conundrum".

Logic can be a real hindrance when it comes to the supernatural. It is like kryptonite.

You haven't proved anything other than your penchant for armchair philosophy. You craft some good posts though, I'll give you that. There's no substance to the above post though, only misdirected grumblings.

No doubt.

Just explaining the context of "the greatest deceiver".

With respect to the OP let's not get into that.

I just advise you to read the Surah in my post carefully.

Emphasis on the words "opponents of Jesus".

Yeah your right, its best not to think critically about these things.

Let's just chalk it up to "moving in mysterious ways" and forget about everything else.

BTW what is it that I am supposed to be proving in your opinion? I didn't get the feeling this thread had anything to do with proof in the first place if I am mistaken then I must have missed it.

To be perfectly honest, I don't fancy another futile argument with yourself. Chalk that up however you want but we can argue about something else in another thread, until that argument turns sour. (Chalk that up to whatever you want)

Seems to me, that a combination of things saved the boys Life.

Prayer is a pretty broad term and doesn't help to encompass the overall affect of the prayer itself.

It makes it sound like the words/thought alone did the job...

Without taking into account how the prayer would have been answered.

Such as extended CPR, rather than giving up...

With that said, could just have been the extended CPR...

Prayer implies that this teen was truly pious and deserving of this reward...
& without knowing him that's hard to say.

You never know how much someone is going to change in the future, or what they will accomplish, especially when they are yet to turn into an adult!

I'm sure you can agree that in reality, only God knows!

Even if we differ on our thoughts regarding God.

Would the boy had lived without any medical intervention

That is the heart of the matter.

Also would he have lived without prayer?
I think no on all accounts that everything came together.

Yeah, that's true.

Only God can Judge too, so there is that as well.

I wouldn't second guess the Creator's decisions.

I recall other cases of people being submerged and declared dead in ice cold water. However, 45 minutes is a long time. I do think extreme cold suspends the body in some kind of hibernation and reduces the risk of brain and other organ damage. Heck, whatever saved this boys life, I'm sure his parents are extremely thankful they didn't lose him.

Is that the low you guys are getting to now?

A conspiracy to star ones own posts?

LMAO!

I often wonder how half of your posts (deadeye & Tech) get stars.

So I think about it and quickly realize,

People have opinions that agree with yours. Simple as that.

I would be extremely interested to see this thread you allude to deadeye. I highly doubt something like you suggest would not breach T&C.

Edit: I can verify that I am one who sometimes stars Grim's posts. We often find each other in the same threads, and online the same time.

Anyway, I'll let the guy defend himself.

Yes, people who believe in illogical things usually use non-logic to defend their position. Why would anyone star their own post? Lol, does a star somehow make someone's post more believable? I don't see any point in it, but that's non-logic for you.

ETA: I have to come clean guys, I've been starring Grimpachi's posts, I must be his alt account.

I starred one for the lulz once. I didn't agree with it, it was just funny. I wouldn't be so quick as to discount what's being suggested though, it does happen, even if not in this specific case.

You gotta be wary on any internet forums nowadays, especially ones dealing with sensitive information, and especially considering that tax money is admittedly going to paid shills. Anyway please can we stop derailing the thread!!

The chances are small of survival he said but that doesn't mean it was a miracle.

Well if it wasn't a miracle lets put you through the same experience and see how you come out, but we will drop the prayer part for you and see which one plays out better

I sometimes have to resist the bait.

Haters going to hate.

I know I can be a smart arse at times, but damn. I honestly wouldn't be able to handle two accounts I type way to slooooow.lol

Back on topic:

I am sure there are those who think that is a miracle but is it?

Is there no scientific explanation?

Has this happened to anyone else before?

If there is an explanation and this has happened before then what exactly makes this case a mirricle?
