HI ATS! and happy 2015....

most of us at ATS has heard of the story by now about a supposed visit to Australia by Egyptians about 4000 - 5000 years ago

this story had been debated on ATS before...

from 2007 ( about the earliest... and thanx to Lady of the Lake)

www.abovetopsecret.com...

from 2012 ( and with some pix)

www.abovetopsecret.com...

also this 2011 thread with examples of other weird stuff found in Australia that could be related to early Egyptian visits...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

and from last year...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

it has been "bebunked" numerous times by the usual suspects...based on the stories of a Park Ranger (NPWS)
who supposedly found a "crazy" Yugoslav" actually carving the glyphs in the 1970s / 80s...

so be warned....!!!

there are also many different places on the East Coast where there are claims of RELICs etc being found
the best (or at least best documented) is Gympie Qld...eg the Gympie Pyramid and also the (supposedly destroyed) site at nearby Rainbow beach

and there are also loads more "snippets" of finds...but never much substance and absolutely NO EVIDENCE in the public domain

so like i said ...enter at your own risk!!!

anyway ...it is still a great place to visit regardless

the views are amazing...its in the Brisbane Water National Park...with views of Brisbane Water a LONG way below...

the site (near Gosford NSW) is about an hours drive north of Sydney Australia

anyway...i have visited the site a few times now....
but on my most recent visit i found the (formerly BLOCKED) "chamber entrance" was now open...

so in i went...

it was a VERY small opening

had to be feet first...and watchful for snakes etc...

but it was worth the squeeze!

i thought the chamber was going to go under the GLYPH PANELs...(eg STAIGHT ahead)
but it went in a perpendicular direction (to the left)

it was about 2-3 metres wide
and about 10 metres long...maybe more

the height was hard to determine...beacause of the rock and sand ...

but i think it was at least 2 metres

anyways...i just thought i would share these pix...as i have followed this story for years
and NEVER seen a pic from INSIDE the chamber...(except for a single "screen grab" from a vid...)

( all my pix were taken on a CANON 600D )

thanx ATS and stay safe !!!

Good on you! S&F.

Last i heard, the government was looking at clearing the site...i'm glad to hear that it's still there, with the 'chamber' unblocked. Speaking of the chamber, how far did you make it? Did it lead anywhere? Were there any other 'chambers' leading off of the main one?

These are great pictures. I only ever saw the old photo you described, and i always found it interesting just how 'straight' (for lack of a better term) the walls were. In any case, i personally think that it is a site worth exploring. It would be good if archaeologists could take the site more seriously. We all know how pathetic their industry is with finds being discounted only for them to be acknowledged as genuine many decades later...the general arrogance seems to be astounding.

In any case, regardless of the witness reports and evidence pertaining to the glyphs being fake, i think it is interesting that they translate into a somewhat coherent story. And while many of the glyphs are incorrectly scribed, it is also interesting to note that the average Ancient Egyptian couldn't properly read or write. So the poor use of glyphs could also be explained in the context of an Ancient Egyptian visit.

Thanks for the thread.

gday DaasKapital...thanx for the reply...

i noticed U featured in some of the debate previously on this topic...

so i appreciate your input...

U asked for more info...

firstly ...yes the land was for sale LAST time i visited...or land very nearby by, anyway...
but it is NATIONAL PARK...so i never understood how it could be sold...

anyways...the FOR SALE sign is now GONE>>>!!!

so thats a good start

as far as the chamber is concerned...it seems to be ONE single chamber...

but there is a lot of debris in there still...

we only made in inside about a meter or two (and hope to return)

U can see light coming in at the far end...which we investigated from the outside...
and found it may be possible to enter the chamber from that direction too...maybe...

and finally..YES...there seemed to be some VERY straight edges ...
especially for sandstone...

thanx again for your thoughts...and stay safe

We have alot of similar sites here in America.. The drawings could be verified by a forensic geologist too see if they are real or maybe how old they are. Forensic geology can be contested but we were able to prove runes on a rock in southern minnesota were from nordic explorers.

this is a pic of the lower "exit" of the site...

it shows clearly water erosion...
but this rock is about 50 - 60 meters above sea level...
and about 1-2 kms from the water

hi bwcawaterbear....thanx for your reply...

RUNEs...? awesome!

it is highly likely Vikings etc did visit Nth America...
and its becoming more accepted by "mainstream"...

but not Egyptians in Australia>>>!!!

anyways...what sort of rock were the runes cut into?

this site is SANDSTONE... a very soft stone...and hard to date...

there is LICHEN etc but even that sort of evidence is not definitive...either way...

thanx again for your input...

this is a pic i found online showing the "SPHINX" that
is in Bobbin Head Park (SYDNEY)

it was (supposedly) constructed by a patient at the hospital nearby...
after WW1

i have visited this Sphinx...it is still there...but has been sort of incorporated into a memorial for the fallen of WW1
(i think)...

i include it here to show that there is a (supposed) precedent for the possibility of "fake" or "recreation" of Egyptian stuff...

Thanks for the info! Definitely sounds interesting. Most just go to look at the glyphs. I applaud you for going the extra step and entering the chamber. From memory, the glyphs described a chamber underneath the area as well...if it is a hoax, it is an elaborate one. While i don't really know what to believe regarding the Gosford site, it is still very interesting.

Thanks again for taking the effort to go through all of this.

thanx again Daas...your exactly right...

the "original" story was that the text was sent to an expert
who claimed that the story told of an expedition...from Egypt to Australia..
which ended in tragedy...the death of the leader by snake bite...

AND HE WAS BURIED THERE...under the rock...

anyways....
i just wanted to post the pix and let people at least see what its like under there...

ALSO>>> yes...what an ELABORATE HOAX...(?)

the guy must of been like the guy that did CORAL CASTLE...!!!

the rock and stones are very large

Yeah. There's way too much work involved here. I don't necessarily think that the eyewitness reports of modern people inscribing glyphs into the rocks are proof of anything either. Many cite those reports to debunk the story, but it is obvious that people would go and check the site out (and add their own marks to it) as it became more famous...It is still possible that there were original glyphs, with others being added by modern people leaving their mark.

Simply, i think researchers and archeologists need to invest some significant time into the site, rather than just waving it off as they have done so in the past. That sort of arrogance and condescending attitude has proved foolhardy in the past. It wouldn't hurt for experts to actually go and investigate the site. The worst thing that could happen would be that it is a hoax. The best thing that could happen is that it would rewrite history.

This wouldn't surprise me in World War 1, groups of Australian diggers had their photos taken at the Sphinx.

I recall seeing a big group of diggers in a photo crowded around the Sphinx.

I know my great grandfather and his brother was in the picture.

The picture of the dogman is intriguing. Just about every country on earth has myths about dogmen. Even some of the missing 411 cases people who came back reported being in presence of a Dogman. I wonder if there is another entrance hidden around there, somewhere.

hi AthlonSavage....thanx for the reply

yes...its a cool pic...it is ANUBIS....God of the Underworld

its about a metre tall....and quite impressive

and yes...i think there is at least one other entrance to the "chamber"...

(as i stated in a post above) we saw some light at the end of the chamber...
and the chamber is (currently) unpassable because of all the rubble...so it may be covering something...

thanx again for responding

Thank you for the great pics and checking out a controversial site, but I still think its a hoax, and I'll state why.
1. look at the hieroglyphs at that site and at those found in Egypt. There is no comparison. The ones found in Egypt were done VERY meticulously and with precision, even rough hieroglyphs, these are VERY sloppily done.

2. When translated, the glyphs are jibberish, they are as if someone just carved random characters on the wall.

After doing some more research, I found this blog by someone that has studied the site meticulously and discovered a number of errors in the translation and what is supposedly said in the translation

Link 1

and another good site to read some more about the Gosford Glyphs:

Link 2

As cool as the site is, and I WISH it were real, I still feel its a more recent hoax

S&F nonetheless for the OP for checking it out and coming back to tell us about it!!

hi HomerinNC...thanx alot for the input...
i tend to agree ...

BUT i love to dream...!!!

i think i have seen just about everything written about this site...
and the hoax theory is VERY strong...

but i just cant help but wonder...i know the PTB lie about just about everything...

it wouldnt really be hard to hoax the hoax story too...to be honest...

anyway...here is another pic i took...

will try and upload some more ASAP (late here now)
