I saw Metallica in san antonio in maybe 2007ish. It was kinda sad seeing Lars. He'd get up and wander around the stage, and he kind of reminded me of Gollum of LOTR.

The rest of the band was still pretty hardcore. Lars looked completely geriatric.

Its bittersweet to see older bands. I saw Ozzy in the mid 2000s and it was terrible. I mean, the music is still the music. But his performance was terrible.

I saw Metallica in 2003 & Ozzy 2003. I had never seen either
band live.
Metallica was AWESOME! They were so tight is was amazing.

Ozzy kick-Ar$e!! He was great & not to mention that the
the opening acts were Disturbed & Marlyn Manson...
Ozzy also used Portney (sp?) the drummer from Dream Theatre
that I LOVE! That dude is phenomenal. He & Danny from Tool
are a few of the top drummers in the world.

Bloody Hell what a show! I had never seen them live either.
I was moving in Sept 2003 to the east coast so I made an effort
to see all these guys before I left Los Angeles area.

Also saw Kiss for the 4th time. They were me first Rock concert
& I was in 7th grade & I still have an original T-shirt. Peter Criss
was not as good as he use to be...maybe his last show? I know he
had or has breast cancer. One of the first if not the first man to
come out publicly with that disease.

I also saw Aerosmith & they were as good as ever. So glad I made the
effort to seeing all these guys before I left...I haven't been to a concert
since then.

dream theater's drummer was fantastic. i was blown away by that first album back in...what...1993? I was a freshman in college. maybe 1992.

I really hate being that guy.

Dream Theater's first album was in 1988, with a different singer than 1992's Images & Words(the one with the hit that BFFT is referring to). Portnoy also never played with Ozzy, that was Mike Borden, formerly from Faith No More.

Now, he's played with a whole other bunch of groups/musicians but not Ozzy. He's way too smart to play tired old Ozzy tunes and get s*it on by Sharon.

You guys are too cool to try and create something with my very non-specific requirements. I'm curious what you come up with. Besides the album covers, the other images I have in mind(realizing I'm a Rush geek and have way too many images in my head) I don't think will fit. Or be so small they wouldn't work.

Hey Spanish Archer if you see this...I could not find the video
with girls you were talking about so of course this one came
from an album cover "Permanent Waves"...so if you want those
particular ones from the "Moving Pictures" video can you please
provide the video or screen shot? I could not find it...everything was just
music & no video that I saw...

TThis was just an idea I through out to everyone & still trying to
bait you for more specifics...

"Girls, stop moving pitchers!" Classic stupidity.

I like the one up there. I'll use that tomorrow when I'll feel like actually doing it. I'm being lazy right now. That was pretty much what I was thinking of, with maybe a pissing dog, a rabbit(or hat) and a nut & bolt added but that's not just good, it's good enough.

Vinny's a guy who plays with single bass drum and no double pedal which is pretty unheard of these days. Pretty much unheard of BITD for that matter. His new thing Kill Devil Hill is ok. I should pull that out and listen to it a couple more times and really digest it.

BFFT, that is totally killer. I've never had my own logo and that's totally appropriate. I even had to flash the horns a few times last night for The Tubes and a few years ago, before I ever learned anything about the band, I never would have thought that possible. I'll scale that down after the Rush tour is over and use that for a while as it's really cool.

Hi everybody, not an avatar request but I know you all hang out here and I would like to ask a favour if I may.

For reasons I cannot explain a friend of mine has started a joke CS about ducks being the true evil rulers of the universe, think Annunaki intergalactic evil overlords but... ducks.

If anyone has either the time or inclination to knock together some images of these evil creatures that would be great but if not then, meh

LOL, that was the most beautiful sarcasm I have seen in quite some time. Kudos.

There are instructions on page 1 of this thread. The skinny on it: you need a clear .gif in your "avatar" slot. And the image you want to use needs to be in the "miniprofile Background" slot. You can get a clear .gif by right clicking on my avatar, and click "select image location" (or whatever your browser says to do the same thing).

I used to have it set as my Avatar ,but unfortunately it was to big and causing page loading troubles for other members .
I would like to some how implement the letters ATS within the pic ,not sure if that's possible for I am

I don't know if they will be able to retain clarify/motion within the limits....but i sure hope someone can give it a good shot. Because it really is a great image.
