The answer to the question provides the basis to the woman's rights. Whose rights come first, the fetus' or the woman's? If the fetus' rights come first, then the woman must die when it's either/or. If the woman's rights come first, the fetus dies when it's either/or. If the woman's rights comes first, then it must consistently be that way up until the fetus can live on its own outside the womb.

In a sense you are correct but let me put it another way...If a cop kills an unarmed man, we need to investigate it. If it appears that this cop is above the law, then we protest. We just want justice. If the woman down the street has an abortion, how is that relevant to this issue? We can still discuss both issues but one at a time otherwise it becomes a chaotic discussion and nothing ever gets done.

Then if you really want to stop abortions, you need to discuss the core reasons that women have abortions. Generally, nobody want's abortions. All the while we can still want those rogue cops to stop killing us.
