They have come out and said it. War. This is what many were expecting but to see them actually use the term> Not a good sign.

With the militarization of the police over the last decade it was seen from a long way off. Even other Countries have seen it coming.

www.activistpost.com...

The New York Police Department has declared “war” after two officers were killed Saturday in their squad car while taking part in an anti-terrorism drill by a gunmen said to be taking revenge for the death of Eric Garner.

Look at this address link: www.newsmax.com...

This is what you will see in your address bar: "nypd-union-wartime-dept"

Saying “There’s blood on many hands,” the head of the NYPD’s police union, Patrick Lynch, placed much of the blame on the Mayor’s Office and formally asked Mayor Bill de Blasio not to attend the funerals of the slain officers for appearing overly sympathetic to Eric Garner protests.

NOW the Union is calling the shots. Here are their demands. Yes, demands. The police are making their own rules and deciding their own policy. Not our public servants anymore.

In the wake of the shootings, the NYPD’s union New York Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association issued this bulletin showing that the NYPD are most certainly not taking things lightly:

Starting IMMEDIATELY: At least two units are to respond to EVERY call, no matter the condition or severity, no matter what type of job is pending, or what the opinion of the patrol supervisor happens to be.

IN ADDITION: Absolutely NO enforcement action in the form of arrests and or summonses is to be taken unless absolutely necessary and an individual MUST be placed under arrest.

These are precautions that were taken in the 1970′s when police officers were ambushed and executed on a regular basis.

The mayor’s hands are literally dripping with our blood because of his words actions and policies and we have, for the first time in a number of years, become a ‘wartime’ police department. We will act accordingly. (emphasis added)

"Absolutely NO enforcement action in the form of arrests and or summonses is to be taken unless absolutely necessary and an individual MUST be placed under arrest."

What does this mean exactly? Are the cops admitting that they have gone overboard in their use of power or are they going to hold the city hostage and watch it burn down? We'll see.

"Michael Bloomberg did say the NYPD was his own “army” back when he was mayor."

We live in a total police state where a man can lose his life for the cost of a rapid transit train ticket, a movie ticket or selling loose cigarettes on a street corner. In fact, while only 31 officers were shot in the line of duty in 2013, no one even really knows how many people are shot by police in this country each year. Some estimates are as high as 5000 since 9/11.
www.washingtonpost.com...

I for one have no doubt that this is only the beginning. All the speculation and doom porn aside it's actually unfolding before our eyes. I think back when I was a kid and cops were heroes. People for the most part had no problems if they were going about their daily lives. But people are now living in fear and reacting because of that fear.

9/11 was said by many to be the start of the police state, militarization of the beat cops. That it was the plan all along. Yes it has happened so now what can be done to turn it back?

My opinion? Nothing short of a civil war that will end with total destruction of the infrastructure, resources and mass graves. It's what comes after that worries me.

And that will depend on who is the victor.

Don't misunderstand me, because in this case I truly hope I'm wrong.

Peace

This seems very militant for a group of professionals sworn to serve and protect. Declaring war is not protecting anyone.

One day we will realize we only need about 5 laws on the books... No murdering, no stealing and a few others. Hot heads war types ruin it for all.

The Police want war hey?
maybe they'll change their tune when they realize just how far out there they are hanging.......
The heavily outnumbered, out gunned and unpopular cops better not get frisky......
People have had enough prodding by these thugs....isn't that becoming far too obvious?
Their arrogance will turn American urban areas into new Bagdads.....
Neighbourhood militias are next....

Declaring war on citizens is just insane. If I lived in any heavily populated area I would stay as far away from police as possible. Never turn my back on a cop etc.

This is how they want the majority to live, in fear. It's what has been designed.

I read into that as them admitting they have been slap happy with arresting people for no good reason. They shouldn't have been arresting people unless absolutely necessary in the first place but we all know keeping the courts and jails full is good for their business.

On top of that I think too many of them have grown up idolizing Judge Dredd movies taking liberties when they can.

Obama did state a few years ago that America was a 'battle ground' did he not ? so this has been planned for some time and has not come about from a couple of cops being slain. Get used to your new slave system America, kneel and plead for mercy !!

War? What for? In a war, when the enemy is dead, the war is finished. Isn't the shooter dead? I don't get their logic. They should be working on prevention, not embarking on some form of "war".

I actually think that the police individually are terrified of what is happening but as a hive mentality, the bravado surfaces.

KinDa like this:

1. Wake up as a citizen because underneath everything that's all we are.

2. Kiss the kids off to school because that's what we Do..

3. Put on uniform. Transformation begins.

4. Strap on gun...BAD-ASS!

5. Badge: Above the law...Untouchable!

6. Together with 100 other bad-asses...RAH, RAH, RAH!!!!

Unaccountable.

Peace

Not all cases but in most.

We've been the enemy in their eyes for a while now. At least potential enemy for everyone across the board, but if your poor, a minority or just someone who isn't praising cops and treating them like demi gods then you are the enemy.

All you need to prove that is listen to some cops talk when they feel they can talk freely. It's us and them. That is how they see it and that is how they play it.

Didn't they actually do this a number of years ago, just not in those words. If not, I hate to see what they are calling war.

I believe it's because they know how for they have gone in their own actions and now they also see that they've gone too far. People are fed up.

I got it this is the union with their bombastic language. I got it de Blasio did what he did. HOWEVER he did not "literally" murder those cops. That POS who later committed suicide did.

If you are trying to make things clear and want the public to plumb distinctions in murky circumstances, why do you choose to go about with false, incendiary language? You get pissed off when the MSM unjustly hammers you with BS now you tread the exact same path?

They are a "wartime police department"? What does that mean? Sure, they need to defend themselves and I can even support their demands as they make sense. But if SCOTUS says you enforce laws, where does the war part come in?

Is the NYPD now going to start doing amphibious assaults on hostile shores? Airborne operations on enemy held objectives? Over-throwing tyrannical governments? (Careful de Blasio on that last one)

Just because you get an MRAP and other military gear does not mean your mission changes. It does not allow you interface with the public in an entirely new way. They are simply tools which may or may not help in your current paradigm.

***Prayers go out to the friends and families of those two officers.

There's nothing like going too far...
& then ramping it up even more.

The worst part is all those "crazies" like Alex Jones who have been telling people to expect this being labelled as unreliable.
I might start tuning in to his show again.

Peace Jude.

If things get real lawless and get out of control,

They will call in National Guard and Federal police authorities.

Many Federal police agencies are not under the Posse Comitatus Act.

Hmmm.

Maybe we should start sending them to place of real wars instead of our soldiers. After all, they try to be them. But ultimately fail on every level.

Shooting two police officers for no reason is unacceptable but.....the police have unfortunately brought this on themselves. For too long no one could come forward and name and shame bad officers for fear of reprisal. Once you become a "gang" instead of being or acting like public servants you will eventually have to meet your maker.

Now with half of Americans crazy and dumb as dogt*** this type of shooting was bound to happen. Of all the nations on the planet you let self-serving, spoilt, tantrum throwing, uneducated and mentally unstable citizens walk around with guns as though its a good thing.

Bring on the war.....citizens will DIE in huge numbers. No match for the police and other agencies. IF the police declare actual war on the public....GOODBYE american (uncapitalized) citizens!!!

Cops over-reacting once again. They over-reacted to Garner and choked him to death. They over-react on every cop shooter---frequently thousands of cops hunting for weeks for one hiding cop-killer. This cop-killer is already dead. But they continue to over-react. That's a big part of what has people hating on them in the first place.
