abuse or neglect of a child resulting in serious physical injury is a very serious charge, and seeing how this is a abuse case and not neglect i think they will focus on abuse.

here are Missouri's guidelines for this.

Class C felony - up to 7 years in prison (but a minimum of one year); if abuse results in serious emotional or physical injury, Class B felony - between 5 and 15 years in prison; if abuse results in death of the child,
Class A felony - 10 years to life in prison. -

hopefully she will get a jury full of women and men who are loving paerents and a judge who is the same and spend a full seven without parole. she will at least get one if there is a decent DA that won't cut a deal.

I used to be as pro-violence person. I used to think exactly as you do: "kill the criminals! ". Until, one day, I came to a realization: death is too easy a way out for criminals.

I think (Katie Grimes) is one of the worst kind of monsters on this planet...she should be put in prison for life.

I urge everyone no matter what your spiritual beliefs are...to pray for that precious little 2 year old girl.

I pray now for that innocent 2 year old little girl. I pray that you do magnificent healing, in her body inside and out...her character, mind , heart, spirit, soul and emotions. For those who want to see this woman dead/beaten or whatever, I am interested to know how you would feel if the abused child went on to inflict an injury upon her own child in years to come as a result of being totally messed up by what happened to her as a child? Would you see her dead too?

My heart breaks for this child.

Now this poor kid is going to be in CPS foster care.

Out of the frying pan into the fire.

I speak of this from experience.

Threads like this and ALL the child/pedo threads have made me back away from ATS recently.

My wife made me, she saw how it was affecting me.

That's the point: violence does not solve violence, it only extends it. The mother did it because she received violence in her past, and thought that it's the only way. We have to show that there is another way; that love achieves far greater than violence. Only then can the mother realize her mistakes.
