I'm actualy a fairly young person and have only been able to vote a few times now, and none of the people I voted for were ever elected. These people do not represent me.

i usually vote Constitutional Party, sometimes Libertarian. in local races, i don't vote by party, but by person (small town, i usually know the candidates). The national leaders were not voted by me.

But "the people" is a singular entity. Kind of like the concept of "team". If a sucker is elected, we all lose whether they got your vote or not.

I didn't mean to imply that you voted for anyone in particular. I was using the above referenced concept in my speaking.

Patriotic?!

That man violated the constitution that he took an oath to protect and defend thousands of times, started a needless war based on lies, and destroyed our country!! Look at it now. If Bush was within 5 feet of me I would spit in his face.

Bush violated the constitution more than 4,000 times. Iraqis are so scared now that they can barely go to the market during the day because it's so dangerous, Iraq is more dangerous now than it was then period.

Ummm, I threw up in my mouth a bit reading the OP.

This thread is simply another veiled guise to attack Obama under the auspices of a convoluted "Hey, Bush wasn't so bad" theme by OP who postures as unbiased and objective. Then claims to be attacked by other posters. The old Boo Hoo back-peddle.

Want proof? Here are but a few highlights:

Yeah right, (wink-wink) I think I do.

Anyone who purports to reinvent Bush's legacy with a "character-makeover" will be met with strong consternation by me.

The Ft. Hood massacre was a national tragedy. Please refrain from pawning it off as a way to elevate a failed President.

Thanks

Like I said earlier in the thread.

"It's funny. The same people on this thread bashing Obama at every chance are the same ones in here defending Bush, It makes you realize where there heads REALLY are and it's not with the freedom lovers of this country, you'll figure it out if your smart enough.

You guys look just like the Obama people who still cling to him and defend him with everything, How does it feel to be on that side of the fence again? Because yall look just like them."

I didn't pawn anything off, and I resent you saying that about me.

I am not going to respond any further, as you have taken much of the thread out of contex to suit your purposes, and I refuse to play that game with you.

What your problem is your not drinking the "obama's great" koolaid, shame on you.

Like you their were things President Bush did that I didn't agree with, but this pure hatred some have of this man, then the same people that hold some much hate him have an almost god-like awe of obama. Makes me think their not running on all cylinders.
Libertygal, keep up the good fight and don't let these (Snip) get you down.

Your just mad that Bush had been such a success, instead the Messiah is destroying our freedoms. Bush made us and the world more free, the patriot act (HELLO guess who's not a patriot?) and GITMO, just think terrorists would come at you if not for Bush. Look at the economy, the second Bush leaves it gets bad and its like, WTF, are liberals retarded? I am not saying you are, but its just stupid... Bush kept us safe, notice we were attacked by a military Muslim terrorist because Bush is gone! Ever since Bush has been gone things are bad, my freedoms are slipping everywhere, I am tired of crying...

I agree! As soon as Obama comes in everything gets bad, the economy, the stock market, the wars everyone is blaming Bush for all this??? If we still had Bush our country would be doing good, BTW I am not a Republican.

I agree don't let them get you down, Cheney and Palin on a ticket?
They should create the PATRIOT PARTY or the AMERICAN PARTY! Keep up the good fight for patriotism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's good!! Gee now that ole BO's in office, where's unemployment? Oh, that's right over 10% when he swore it would go over 8%. The stock market crash? That happened after the election before BO took office, it showed Wallstreet doesn't have any faith it BO and it still hasn't fully recovered. He blew trillions that's trillions more then President Bush on his failed stimulus package. Trying to shove socialised medicne down our throats which will put us even further into debt. Yeah, Bo's doing a fine job.

I know BO created all this mess and has failed to clean it up. The stock market crash in September was a reaction to BO getting elected cause they all knew he would win.
Exactly BO threw like twenty three trillions more at the stimulator thing he did.
BO is doing an awful job thats the thing is people need to realize how much worse than Bush. BO's gonna ruin the economy and get rid of my freedoms. Bush fixed and protected both, liberals...

Interesting post, and it does take stones to admit being wrong on a given subject. However, the Bush Administration's record speaks for itself and in many circles it is considered as a gross dereliction of duty. I think I will refrain from the laundry lists of missteps, but there were many of them, to say the least. My opinion of the Bush Administration is that I have no opinion. I have never held the office of President, so how could I comment from my cushy arm chair about the ins and outs of the position.

However, some of his knee-jerk decisions enabled the current administration to make their radical decisions hold weight in Washington. How can I put it simply, he set precedent for the Obama Administration to do what they are doing at present. In other words, some of his legislative policies could open the door to tyranny down the road, if the mistakes of Bush are not corrected. Just my speculative analysis on the subject.

I think we have to wait for the dust to settle to see how history judges the most controversial Presidential Administration since Richard Nixon in the seventies. Let the overly zealous froth at the mouth over this controversial subject making its way to the board, but it has a right to be here along with many others, for thoughtful debate. Keep up the good work, and keep the hard and unpopular topics coming!

Scuse me? I have no "purposes." No ulterior motives, no game playing.

I simply stated my opinion on a Discussion Forum which has a motto of Deny Ignorance in response to a ludicrous thread.

If you'd like to disown your own thread, don't let me stop you. (In this case, I don't blame you.) The old expression about staying out of the kitchen if you can't take the heat comes to mind.

On Topic:

Attempting to garner a sympathetic spin to a person who some consider to be guilty of war crimes is simply preposterous.

Toodle-loo

Can we thank him for allowing the first attack despite credible warnings and actionable intelligence via Presidential Daily Briefings?

This is the FIRST time I recall anyone mentioning he Patriot Act as being a good thing.

I want to see the reports that says word for word that the nutcases were going to fly planes into buildings? Your answer I know is going to be "look it up" No, you brought it you produce it, if not then you earn the big L award. And from the pure anger in your posts, you really need to step away from your BO shrine, step out of your mom's basement an join the real world and chill a little, the elections over and the obama the Destroyer won.

LOL. I live in Florida, we don't have basements. I am 53 years old (probably older than you) and don't live with my elderly, widowed mother. You misconstrue anger with passion for truth. I am not one to sweep the past under the rug while others attempt to rewrite history regarding a miserable failure of a President. I have not mentioned our current President ANYWHERE in this entire thread. So much for Obama accusation.

Your power of perception is abysmal and your inferences about me are unfounded and incorrect. At least a broken clock is right twice a day and you were wrong on all counts.

Regards...KK

Best I can do:

August 6, 2001: Bush Receives Briefing Titled ‘Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US’

President Bush receives a classified presidential daily briefing (PDB) at his Crawford, Texas ranch indicating that Osama bin Laden might be planning to hijack commercial airliners. The PDB provided to him is entitled, “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US.” The entire briefing focuses on the possibility of terrorist attacks inside the US.

Ah HA

Clearly all the pilots were napping and all the equipment fizzed out all at once. Maybe Bush thought the brief was a practical joke, however Bush kept us safe.
