A little Gun History Lesson

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

------------------------------

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

---------------------------

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated

------------------------------

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

----------------------------

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

------------------------------

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

------------------------------

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

-----------------------------

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

------------------------------

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.

With Guns...........We Are 'Citizens'.

Without Them........We Are 'Subjects'.

During W.W.II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

Note: Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 & was Naval Attaché to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend the country.

It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U. S. & knew that almost all households had guns.

If you value your freedom, Please spread this anti-gun control message to all your friends!

I know you just copied and pasted this. But have you done any research at all to verify any of these claims? If you would, provide some sources.

Gun control in Germany was introduced in 1928 under the Weimar regime in an attempt to bring about some safety in the country. Political parties were at each others throats murdering one another and bombing offices. Sort of like Crips and Bloods. Of course the gun ban didnt work and the violence continued. When Hitler had the chance to let it expire it he decided to renew it.
Sure, we're all better off when a national security service is the only group besides the military with guns. Hmmm... National security service. Seems recently familiar.

Anyway.

Something to add:

Racist Roots of Gun Control

Starting in 1751, the French Black Code required Louisiana colonists to stop any blacks and, "if necessary," beat "any black carrying any potential weapon, such as a cane."(1) If a black refused to stop on demand and was on horseback, the colonist was authorized to "shoot to kill."(2) In Louisiana, the fear of Indian attack and the importance of hunting to the colonial economy necessitated that slaves sometimes possess firearms. The colonists had to balance their fear of the Indians against their fear of their slaves. As a result, French Louisiana passed laws that allowed slaves and free blacks to possess firearms only under very controlled conditions.(3) Similarly, in the sixteenth century the colony of New Spain, terrified of black slave revolts, prohibited all blacks, free and slave, from carrying arms.(4)

For the dog-banning crowd out there who have nightmares of "assault" dogs eating children:

The fear of armed blacks had become so extreme that dogs were considered weapons. Maryland prohibited free blacks from owning dogs without a license and authorized any white to kill an unlicensed dog owned by a free black.

Bolshevik Russia and the Soviet Union did not abolish personal gun ownership during the initial period from 1918 to 1929; the introduction of gun control in 1929 coincided with the beginning of the repressive Stalinist regime as part of Resolutions, 1918 Decree, July 12, 1920 Art. 59 & 182, Pen. code, 1926.

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin was quoted as saying "A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie."
Link The connection to the dissidents being slaughtered is worth what it is.

Turkish genocide of the Armenians

I had an Armenian roommate for a while after college. Dont get him started on the U.S.'s gun ban BS.

As I stated before it wasnt exactly a Nazi gun ban but a defenseless victim is still the outcome. Though, there is evidence that many Jews did not own arms previous to the ban. Myth of Nazi Gun Control

China's deal is just like Russias. Disarm the ones who would rebel. The mass slaughter was just a side story for them. I'm sure being unarmed it was much easier to kill so many.

As a side note Chinas gun crime is on the increase as of late.

Same as China and Russia. Turkeys are easier to kill when de-spurred.

Recently Australia decided to ban scary looking things for no other reason than that they looked scary and are open about the reason.

They like to harp on the "Port Arthur Massacre" but is somebody had been there armed the "massacre" never would have happened in the first place.

well we have a delima ... because I can count the dead people -- but no one has printed why gun laws were put on the books.... when history clearly says ... yes, give the people guns and they will use them if needed. but you see we are in AMERICA ... do you realize that over 300 million hand guns are in the peoples hands and we dont seem to have Criminals at the helm and they are not pushing injustice on the people and the people are not firing their weapons ... Whats wrong with your theory...
this is whats wrong with your theory...
we the people know our leaders are criminals and we tell them Dont Tread on Me... in 1700's that ment Oppress and be Shot... it was fair warning back then its fair warning today...

I think your arguments are simplistic and one sided. There are data that support both sides of the debate. To say that your rights will not be taken away because you own a gun is very naive. Many of your rights have already been taken away, for the most part, and they continue to be challenged. This whole Freedom=Gun rights is just repeating what the NRA bleat on about all the time. There is no real logic to that argument. Just my thoughts...

You forgot Canada.

The Natives here were disarmed, rounded up and killed also. The survivors were put in concentration camps (reserves) and soft-killed with disease and malnutrition.

Several million over the years, I believe.

Then there is the Irish. How many Irish have died this past thousand years as a result of disarmament? Millions perhaps over the past 800 years.

#1 Gun rule: 'Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he's too old to
fight, he'll just kill you.'

Well, here's the proof:

The 71-year-old retired Marine who opened fire on two robbers at a
Plantation, FL, sub shop late Wednesday, killing one and critically
wounding the other, is described as John Lovell, a former pilot for two
presidents. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke, he works out everyday.
Lovell was a man of action Wednesday night. According to Plantation
police, two masked gunmen came into the Subway at 1949 N. Pine Rd.
Just after 11 p.m.

There was a lone diner -- Lovell, who was finishing his
meal. After robbing the cashier, the two men attempted to shove Lovell
into a bathroom and rob him as well. They got his money. But then Lovell
pulled his handgun, opened fire, shooting one of the thieves in the head
and chest and the other in the head. When police arrived, they found one
of the men in the shop. K-9 units found the other in the bushes of a
nearby business.
They also found cash strewn around the front of the sandwich shop
according to Detective Robert Rettig of the Plantation Police
Department. Both men were taken to Broward General Medical Center , where one, Donicio Arrindell, 22, of North Lauderdale died. The other,
21-year-old Frederick Gadson of Fort Lauderdale is in critical but
stable condition.

A longtime friend of Lovell was not surprised to hear what happened.
''He'd give you the shirt off his back, and he'd be mad if someone tried
to take the shirt off your back,'' he said. Lovell worked as a pilot for
the Marines, flying former Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B.
Johnson.
He later worked as a pilot for Pan Am and Delta. Lovell is not married
and does not have children.
He is not expected to be charged, authorities said ''He was in fear for
his life,'' Rettig said. 'These criminals ought to realize that most men
in their 70's have military backgrounds and aren't intimidated by
idiots.
The only thing he could be charged with is participating in an unfair
fight. One 71 -year young Marine against two punks.
Two head shots and one center-body-mass shot - good shooting! That'll
teach them not to get between a Marine and his meal.
Don't you just love a story with a happy ending?
