New 4 Billion Dollar FBI Headquarters Planned - Do They Deserve It With Current Leadership.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is about to see a new $4 Billion headquarters constructed.

Later this year, the bureau will choose between three finalist locations for the new HQ, which has an estimated price tag of $4B:

The three sites, narrowed down in 2016 and then shelved for several years until Congress resumed funding last year, consist of two properties in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and a third site in Fairfax County, Virginia.

The sites in Maryland include an 80-acre site of the former Landover Mall, owned by Lerner Enterprises, and a 61-acre site in proximity to the Greenbelt Metro station, the land owned by the state and the metro line. The Virginia site is a 58-acre warehouse complex in Springfield on federally owned land.

Dunno about proprietary but these are my questions

1 how many jobs does a new HQ create?
2 where or who does their wages come from?
3 is our country safer with more FBI?

Be sure to put bars on the windows, maybe we can just lock the FBI in there and build a moat around it. I will never, ever trust this organization. Every time they're caught lying, they promise to do better, until the next lie surfaces. Millions of unauthorized investigations of American citizens. The is no hole deep enough to bury the FBI.

The current FBI HQ is an old artsy fartsy building that is extremely inefficient. The center of the building is a huge open area that makes getting from one side to the other take longer than it should.

I have heard several Republicans on Forbes (mirroring CSPAN I suppose) state that the FBI receiving funds for this is out of the question. Not sure of actual status.

Liberals used to tell President Trump that the 4 billion dollars he wanted to spend on the wall, would be better spent giving every man woman and child in America, $4,000 check.

No they don't deserve a new building. If anything, they need to be moved into a dirt parking lot full of cargo containers with no heat or AC. Three offices to a container.

If the FBI was involved in ginning up the Capitol riot, the existence of these non-operative "bombs", would make the potential destruction around D.C. appear more severe than it turned out to be....which wasn't too bad anyway.

I suggest just transferring the entire 7th floor of the current FBI building to Guantanamo Bay Cuba and expanding it for permanent residency of all who work there now.

Funding the FBI sounds like grounds for war crimes charges.
No money for Nazis, Communists or the FBI.

They want $4 Billion of our tax dollars for a new Marble-walled Headquarters.

Since the Guantanamo Prison expansion is continuing, as it has over the past 5 years, you may be right on target.

House Speaker McCarthy says rather than approve a $4 Billion expenditure for 1 big expensive building, the U.S. House may only agree to funding smaller decentralized FBI, with Satellite Headquarters buildings in regions of America. SE/NE/SW, etc..
