The BBC World service is reporting this very differently, they're saying that they didn't resign. Apparently they were force out and the government was dissolved.

Soviet troops are also apparently on their way.

This looks more like a coup than people power.

We'll see. If citizens are happier 12 months from now than they are today, the "whatever it is" was a good thing.

It's actually the rise in food prices caused by the end of LPG subsidises that triggered the riots over there.

So far, your analysis has every publication wrong on some aspect of this government overthrow.

Personally, I believe its a culmination of things that brought this about.

Maybe the revolt is being orchestrated by outside powers.................... "Airports in Kazakhstan seized to thwart CSTO forces’ deployment" - Lukashenko MINSK, January 6. /TASS/. tass.com... "Extremists seized airports in Kazakhstan to prevent the deployment of the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s forces, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated on Thursday.

"They set on fire everything they could, they seized the airport, and did this on purpose. Both in Almaty and Nur-Sultan there was an attempt to seize the airport. This was a deliberate act," Lukashenko said, according to the BelTA news agency. "That’s because they understood that military forces would be deployed there, first of all of Russia and [other] CSTO states."

Caution please
be careful of the bottled water you may be drinking in America
Remember " what ever it takes ".

I can't believe there are no protest about not letting the kids back into school in Chicago.
Unreal
Our kids are all in school here . No deaths among our children.

In Chicago, over 100 school-aged children were murdered last year.

2021 Stats: www.chicagotribune.com...

ZERO large-scale protests over murders, so you can imagine how little (most) Chicago parents care what the public schools do.

So sad. But if it's a criminal scum killed by police the streets are burning. This tells me that's further proof that the government instigates these reactions when they want them through BLM/antifa (paid by government thugs).
Thugs paying/hiring other thugs, there's a shocker.

The government in my area (Chicago) does not care about the murders of Black people any longer. No press briefing on any murders unless it was a White or Oriental or victim in 2021.

Well considering that some officers were allegedly behaded, and many protestors are now armed with rifles and grenades they raided from other security posts, I'd be shooting them too if they were getting ready to storm a fortified law enforcement position I was trying to secure.

It is looking to seem this may not be as organic as it was being said. Jen psaki pre-emptively denied any US involvement before we were directly accused, citing some Russian accusation. But i was following this since the weekend on several Central Asian sources, and nobody or even Russian sources directly cited any Western or American meddling. The Kazakh president stated terrorists from international sources had infiltrated. That could have meant ISIS for all we know considering they tend to pop up in these situations and people are allegedly being behaded.

So why was Psaki being pre-emptive with the denials???

Very interesting! Things are still playing out behind the scenes it seems. Putin likely told Biden/Psaki something in the phone conversation he requested last week.

I'm sure outside forces are meddling, but if the people weren't angry it wouldn't amount to anything.

True. Too much wealth in a resource rich nation in the hands of the few.

I'd have to say that's true to a point. But let a cop kill one that wasn't doin nuffin after he pulls a gun or fights with them and all hell will break loose.

Does Orange Revolutions ring a bell for anyone?
Egypt? Ukraine?
All thanks to social media manipulated by the CIA.
Kazakhstan is being thrown in to chaos in order to cripple Russia's gas industry.
Their pipeline to the EU is the central crux of the issue as it runs through the Ukraine.
This is how modern wars are being fought and the media presents it to us as democratic movements.

Hmm, right at a time when Europe is experiencing record gas prices, in the U.K. many energy suppliers went into administration late last year because of the hikes and cap on how much they could charge. Prices went up 30% and are expected to go up a further 50% this year!

The government want to faze out gas central heating systems in the coming years but nobody will be able to afford it anyway at this rate.. coincidence?

It's totally organic. They've cut their internet and all. Why would you believe anything the government lets out? No organizers to be found and killed they say.
They've had one dude in power for 3 decades. Dont you think folks in Belarus cook some plans in their head every time they feel government's boot on their neck? What's wrong about being organized anyway? Or lone wolves organizing mob on a go?
This is how you fight the government - police is the first fist in your way. They have obviously no delusions about cops being their friends

Is anger and frustration with U.S. leadership causing millions of Americans to consider forcing them from office?

Maybe that's in the works, which accounts for such great interest in what's transpiring in Kazakhstan this week.

Americans love drama. That's how brainless theater celebrities get paid more than your average teacher, policeman, or doctor. Even the ones who do their job honorably and tirelessly.

Congrats to Kazakhstan but they made it look easy and heroic. Probably because we are watching it on TV where everything stupid looks easy and heroic.

sounds remarkable similar to what happened to georgia and the ukraine before russia sent in their military to supposedly protect Russian enclaves and annexed or gave independence to the areas they now occupy.

funny enough after some thinking i realized its not about restoring anything, its about oil and resources because all the areas russia sent in their military had oil, pipelines or ports in crimeas case, while kazakhastan has oil and uranium.

I agree

Geography—note: world’s largest landlocked country and one of only two
landlocked countries in the world that extends into two continents (the
other is Azerbaijan); Russia leases approximately 6,000 sq km of territory
enclosing the Baykonur Cosmodrome; in January 2004, Kazakhstan and
Russia extended the lease to 2050

Sounds like the Russians will be getting a discount on their lease pretty soon, as well as a bevy of natural resources to Putin their pockets.

Natural resources: major deposits of petroleum, natural gas, coal, iron ore,
manganese, chrome ore, nickel, cobalt, copper, molybdenum, lead, zinc,
bauxite, gold, uranium

Electricity—exports: 5.1 billion kWh (2017 est.)
country comparison to the world: 37

Natural gas—exports: 12.8 billion cu m (2017 est.)
country comparison to the world: 17
Natural gas—imports: 5.748 billion cu m (2017 est.)
country comparison to the world: 34
Natural gas—proved reserves: 2.407 trillion cu m (1 January 2018 est.)
country comparison to the world: 14

Crude oil—production: 1.856 million bbl/day (2018 est.)
country comparison to the world: 12
Crude oil—exports: 1.409 million bbl/day (2015 est.)
country comparison to the world: 9

Russia will be glad to stabilize the region for all Russians
