A typical hospital's biggest issue in the USA is collections. If an insurance company is involved, they receive a small, sometimes tiny even, percentage of the actual bill. Then they get the pleasure of trying to convince normal people living on normal salaries to hand over thousands of dollars they usually don't have for the copays. But at least that's something... if the patient is uninsured, they have to try and get everything from someone who will probably make less than that one bill in their entire lifetime.

But if the patient is diagnosed with the Chinese virus, all that goes out the window, Now every dime of that bill is required by the government to be paid either by the insurance company or by the government itself if the patient isn't insured.

Say you have a choice of two customers: one has a government guarantee that their bill to you is paid in full, and the other might or might not pay you, and if they do it's going to be pennies on the dollar. Which customer do you want?

That's how the official death toll was inflated in the first place. Anyone with a sniffle, heck, probably anyone who might have once had a sniffle who died, regardless of cause, had the silly virus listed as cause of death so the hospital could get paid faster and more. And it's not a bit unusual to have multiple causes of death... my mother's official cause of death was pneumonia. It's listed right there on the death certificate. But the pneumonia she died from was caused by an inability to swallow that was a direct result of schlerodema, complicated by an episode of vomiting which set up the pneumonia. Had she not had schleroderma, she would not have gotten pneumonia.

That's true for most deaths outside of accidents. Most people who die have more than one issue. The doctor has the choice of which issue they want to list as being responsible for the deaths. List the blunt force trauma from a car wreck and maybe get a small percentage of the bill, or list the Chinese virus and get paid in full. Choices, choices...
