Responding to a crisis which can abate.

Pandemic is over

I don't know where (well actually a tweet of some sort) but I can't find it on the CDC website.

CDC data actually shows the 'excess' deaths to be going up since April 1st and only graphs data to 4/15/20.

Here we are. Some of us verbally and physically attacking each other differing views.

By the way, bringing up WW2 events my great grandpa lived in Germany at the time. He didn't like what was going on. Know what he did? Fought back.

You force people to live a certain way for long enough and they will eventually give up fighting against it, and the people who wanted it the whole time will feel happy that they got their way.

Then share them.

The people of Hawaii should have rebelled?

No, they knew there was good reason for the measures taken, as much as they didn't like them. They were reasonable people. Not like the ones who think wearing a mask is a political statement.

Well, the original people of Hawaii got screwed.

And there's a bit of difference between being at war, and having your island bombed, and being berated for having suspicions about how the government is handling the disease and wanting to live life without fear.

Who are you to decide what is reasonable?

I think it's reasonable to be able to go outside without a mask on. If you are scared maintain your distance. If you're wearing a mask what are you scared for? I mean all the homemade fashion accessories work right?

Or is wearing a mask just for consideration for others like many here have said? In that case don't worry about me, and those who don't want to wear a mask. We acknowledge that if we get it we get it. If we die we die.

That's a win for you guys though right? Less "stupid" people in the world.

I want me and mine to be protected from you, not to protect you. That is the point. If an unmasked and infected person coughs near my, my mask won't help much.

Then, wear your mask like a good boy and don't mind me and mine minding our own business.

That's the spirit. Screw everyone else, I'll do what I want no matter who it harms.

The American way.

Fear is not the reason I wear a mask.

But caution is a reason I avoid crowds.

Drops below the pandemic threshold on 6-13. Chart goes to 6-27 (2 weeks) and still dropping. Probably because we stopped putting covid positive people in nursing homes.. a reply to: Phage

You literally said this:

The behavior of wearing masks outside the home must become the norm. It's not about keeping you safe - but it's about keeping everyone safe.

Then this:

Masks are not terribly effective against the virus

Full context, for the sake of honesty.

Masks are not terribly effective against the virus already in the environment

If more people thought like you, I would probably be feel comfortable enough to go out again one day.

What is this "pandemic threshold" of which you speak?

It’s already been spread in the environment for almost a year.

With supposed exponential infectious rates.

What’s the point of stopping it?

It’s been pretty clear how resilient humans are.

The problem is, it’s complexly difficult, to be resilient against MSM propaganda.

You can choose your existence. I’ll choose mine.

That’s the definition of freedom.

A year? I suppose you have some actual evidence of this, was well as evidence of how long the virus is viable in air.

You can choose your existence. I’ll choose mine.

You are free to be an ass, but you are not free to harm others. Knowingly or unknowingly. You have a responsibility to reduce the chance of harm to others. A mask, a piece of paper or cloth, goes a long way toward doing that.
