In all seriousness though, no skin off my nose if you like Orville and dislike STD. I was just trying to figure out why, and if the reasons you dislike it are consistent with reasons you like or dislike other shows. It seems they may not be. Not that that means a hell of a lot. I'm not always consistent myself with my likes and dislikes.

Its a reboot of the reboot. Orinally it was going to be the standard universe, but that was a big fat lie.

I've seen this series, and quite enjoyed it.

I am interested in other fan made series though, if you know of any good ones.

I've also been thinking about getting into some Trek books!

If anyone here has some idea on where to start there.. I know there are tons of them out there. Some more cannon than others. Some better than others. A daunting task to approach without some guidance.

Don't waste your time with others. I did, and Star Trek Continues is the best of fan-made by far. Its done by industry professionals.

I watched "renegades" but was not impressed by it at all.

i dont care if its close to cannon or not i just want an interesting star trek with a believable cast. so far its just meh.

I enjoyed every Orville episode so far. Glad you liked Orville too. So you see I was right. It is better than Star Trek Discovery.
