Expect this post to fall on deaf ears. The pro-life crowd doesn't like to hear that PP's services that aren't abortion related FAR eclipse their abortion services. To them Planned Parenthood = abortion factories.

No Krazy...PP=selling babies for parts on the open market...=a$$holes!!

Case in point. Thanks for proving my point Chris.

What else am I here for? I am not talking about defunding them though bro....I don't agree with their actions but a million abortions in the last 3 years? Selling baby parts? How can anyone stand behind them? If there are some things changed I would be fine with them staying open, but this stuff is pretty bad in the grand scheme of things!

Your good looks?

That's a relief.

Abortion is legal, so what's so harrowing about this statistic?

Selling baby parts?

Didn't happen.

How can anyone stand behind them?

It's easy if you are honest about the evidence released and don't just blindly believe it because it supports a position that you support.

If there are some things changed I would be fine with them staying open, but this stuff is pretty bad in the grand scheme of things!

Not really.

Oh then the million abortions they have done in the last 3 years is ok....And selling baby parts is fine...Because they offer other services...Whew, I was afraid they only killed and sold babies!

A million sure does seem like a lot. Lets go by The Numbers

• Number of women, men, and young people worldwide provided with sexual and reproductive
health care and education by Planned Parenthood each year: 4,665,000

* Estimated number of abortions averted by Planned Parenthood contraceptive services each year: 216,000

So, In my estimation 12 million people were provided sexual and reproductive health care in the three year span you quoted to the roughly one million aborted fetuses. Which may have been aborted for a variety of reasons. However, one thing that's hard to deny. THE IMPACT OF LEGALIZED ABORTION ON CRIME*.

We offer evidence that legalized abortion has contributed signiŽcantly to recent crime reductions. Crime began to fall roughly eighteen years after abortion legalization. The Žve states that allowed abortion in 1970 experienced declines earlier than the rest of the nation, which legalized in 1973 with Roe v. Wade. States with high abortion rates in the 1970s and 1980s experienced greater crime reductions in the 1990s. In high abortion states, only arrests of those born after abortion legalization fall relative to low abortion states. Legalized abortion appears to account for as much as 50 percent of the recent drop in crime.

Sure:

According to its annual report, Planned Parenthood performed 327,653 abortions in 2013, up from its 327,166 performed in 2012. SBA-List states that, over the past three years, the abortion giant has performed nearly one million abortions.

Then you don't know science and shouldn't be speaking about it.

I think you should stick with your first instinct there.

And that's not a slam on men. Women shouldn't be making decisions about the legality of circumcision, vasectomies, the use of Viagra or any other exclusively male issue, IMO.

If the Planned Parenthood propaganda videos have changed your mind, then you simply fell for the propaganda.

I don't give a rat's *ss about abortion rates being higher in countries where it is illegal. What in the world does that article have to do with the subject of aborting an emerging life.

Legal or illegal, snuffing out that beginning life is regressive, barbaric, and inhumane and I think mankind WILL look back on this period of our history and be appalled that we allowed such a thing. Justify it all day long. Talk about all manner of side issues regarding economic issues, women's rights, social mores, etc., but none of that excuses the act itself.

Clearly you missed the part of that link that said it was a "study". You know one of those things that shows that science has been conducted?

This is just an emotional argument (in other words an appeal to emotion fallacy). No science in this argument whatsoever. What happened to your "science supports the pro-life" argument?

Though this post WAS a bit illuminating. It shows that you weren't actually serious about that science comment and were talking out your ass to see what you can get to stick and/or get other pro-lifers to star your posts.

Explain how science is a factor at all in human life? Science "allows" abortion or vice versa....That's interesting

Science has proved that after 16 weeks, fetus' are not just blobs of tissue.

Science has proved at at 16 weeks a fetus is a fully formed person, human being,

Science has proved that between week 16-24 a fetus
has hiccups
sucks their appendages (thumbs etc)
laugh
shield their eyes from light or sonar
feels pain as strongly as any tiny animal
..........................(say a hamster or guinea pig)

Science has proved that after 24 weeks a fetus
can be born and has the chance to be a
fully healthy human being
if given the proper medical care.

Science has proved that between week 12 and 16
the fetus goes from actually being a blob of fetal cells
and grows and changes into a fully formed human

And this is pro-choice, how?

I can see your argument before 12 weeks,
yes it is a clump of cells that are still
differentiating into a human being.

But after 16 weeks, there is no scientific
doubt whatsoever, that the fetus is
a fully formed human being
(right now, one with no rights,
and no say if the mother decides
to have someone crush it's skull,
or dismember it without anesthesia)
and science has informed us that the
fetus at 16 weeks feels pain as
acutely as any puppy or kitten.
This scientific knowledge is pro-choice how?

Science or rather mathmatics has proven
that abortion after 16 weeks is NOT rare.
It is statistically rare, yes, actually rare, no.
Over 1 million abortions are performed each year in the US.
A little less than 30% are done between week 16 and 24
or numerically and conservatively 25,000
as in twenty five thousand a year.
A little less than 1.5% are done after week 24
or numerically and conservatively 9,000
as in nine thousand per year.
How does that translate into actually a rare occurrence?
Conservatively 34,0000 per year
or thirty four thousand per year after week 16.
How is that pro-choice and declaring the rarity of
abortion after the fetus is a fully formed human
capable of laughing, sucking it's thumb, hiccuping,
shielding it's eyes?

Ok let's break this down. My original point was this:

Science SUPPORTS pro-choice btw.

I then posted a scientific study that showed that making abortions illegal doesn't reduce the rate of abortion happening and even results in abortions being unsafe for the mother. Therefore an intelligent person should come to the conclusion that abortion should be legal since it doesn't stop them from happening. Pro-choice lets you choice personally if you should have an abortion or not.

Well, to some people science IS "God" and if "God" says it's okay to do a "less-crunchy" killing, then "by god"...it's okay, because you know....a handful of scientists = God.
