Super/Anti Hero Writer's Contest[May2015][Winners Announced]

Greetings Tenth, and all entrants and readers of threads relating to this competition.

Assuming that the superhero/antihero theme is still green for go, please accept my humble offering for your consideration. It is a mere origin story of sorts, but I am limited in terms of available time in which to create, owing to time pressures exerted on me by working life, family, and friends.

I LOVE the theme idea. People say that with the sheer number of pre-existing heroes and villains, that it is difficult to be one hundred percent original when coming up with one. Personally speaking, I tend to disagree.

I'm in. Here is my story for the contest: Invisible

Like a comic book, the first in a series, it gives the underpinnings of the character, and what evil may discover them to be a worthy foe as they begin to prove their power to do good...and of course, it ends more like a chapter, than a book.

What was the theme of the other contest? First Contact? I'd say as someone already did, keep this one, and let the other run as well. Ya just have to do a little Multi-Tasking is all. Piece of Cake, eh? LOL! Maybe Heavy Pound Cake instead of Angel Food, but Cake none the less!! LOL!!! Just My thoughts here as I have come into all this late for some reason...

Hi - sorry this is probably the wrong place to bring this up but I expect there's going to be a simple Yes or No answer.

Is it possible that for this forum we are allowed to have more words per Opening Post?

I've just read a story by a non-writer but started on the last page (because I think the page jumped) which sort of spoilt things a bit.

I'm sure that in the past those with Writer status had the privilege of being allowed more words per post but that seems to have changed.

Since we have non-writers contributing here it would seem like a good idea that the whole forum could have the special privilege.

Unfortunately the character count for OP's is standard across ATS and can't be modified for a per forum basis.

I am so sorry, I appear to have messed up. I failed to place "writer status" either in the title of my story, or indeed in the post I made here in this thread, alerting the membership to the existence of my story!

forgot to add that im submitting as a non writer.

im really excited for this one... i have so many ideas and not enough time.... my only mission for this weekend is now to write an entry for this...

i think im going to have to take the Anti-hero route because im no good at writing morally decent characters.... im definitely more comfortable in the darker sides of humanity

im really looking forward to reading all the entries for this one and maybe if im very lucky i might actually get Writer Status lol..
