Malaysian 777 Passenger Airline Shot Down Over Eastern Ukraine

Am I understanding this correctly?

I've read on this thread that it appeared the plane that was shot down had 2 planes as a "military escort".

Then I see that Putin's plane was just 30 minutes behind this plane that was shot down.

If both of these statements are true (and I'll need to find sources other than this thread to verify...) than it sounds like the 777 was shot down as an assassination attempt on Putin... but Putin (or whomever made the call in terms of escort planes) intentionally made it appear that the Malaysian 777 was Putin's plane by placing the two "escort" planes right behind it.

Do I understand this right? (Probably not.)

My head hurts. This story is just all kinds of awful.

What if....just entertain this thought for a second. There were reports of two military jets flying with it at somepoint from someone in the Air Traffic Control or something wasn't there? Or was that bogus?

If there were....what if they were flying with the plane to give the illusion that it really was a military transport plane and then maybe once they fired the missile from the ground....they hit their afterburners and left them to their fate. Just another angle I just thought about. Kind of like they purposely drew fire onto the aircraft.

I have to disagree with you in saying this thread has been biased toward Russia. It has been an open thread offering ideas and opinions in a situation where very little is coming from the Govt. Therefore its the media and not the thread you should aim your criticism toward. Also have you read the previous 42 pages? It would be a shame if a new visitor came to the site and jumped to the end of the posts to learn that it is all Russian propaganda.

Ukraine does have ground equipment for it, here is the proof - if you are sensitive, avoid to watch the videos, they show it all.

but the links I gave you previously, is newer that the one on this message, but its a proof, that Kiev does have guns for it and knew about it since yesterday and they send special equipment and forces for that purpose!.

PLease forgive me for duping a question that may have been asked already as Im late to this...

But if this plane was shot down, why don't we see a smoke trail leading down to the point of explosion that is being shown across all the media to be that of MH 17?

Well then the media lied again as I saw two different reports that said the RS were the only group that could possibly have these weapons. So everyone is pushing some type of agenda.

What are the odds an airliner would cross over a warring country when all other airlines have had their flight paths already changed?

I didn't say 1/20,000. i said using 20,000 flights as the set was wrong.

Only the flights that pass the area in a time window near the event count.

Fair enough. Still, mathematically speaking I think the odds are slim that any planes get shot down. It doesn't happen that often.

ETA: If other airlines never changed their flight paths, then how many planes have flown over Ukraine since the uprising? Lots. Then to have Malaysia get shot out of the sky after their previous disaster? C'mon, the odds of that must be astronomical.

Tragic and insane that this happened to ANOTHER MA flight. The (alleged) demise of two of their planes within a year. Both Boeing 777 aircraft. Nuts.

I mean, does Malaysian Airlines have the worst luck of all time, or?

Just goes to show you the attitude of some of these companies. All about the bottom line. Flying over a literal war zone and thinking it's okay. I understand that this doesn't happen often and planes have been flying overhead but still....no respect for the safety of the passengers and no respect for the people being butchered below them. The company is just as much to blame as whoever may have shot it down in my opinion. It takes a special kind of arrogance to tempt fate like that. Honestly...if flights have been just cruising overhead like there's not a war being fought below this whole time.....I'm surprised it hasn't happened till now. That being said I feel sory for all parties involved. This is only about to escalate though....we all know it.

Is it even humanly possible to plan that? I mean, it's pretty complicated to pick a flight that has those statistics.

Here is something kind of odd about the passports that I didnt notice when they first showed them on the news. I guess this part was edited out. Not sure what to make of this, but pay close attention right after the opening crap, starting at the :9 second mark.



eta: I guess I should add that it is possible the guy was out in his truck and found all these out in the field and just put them in a bag and brought them back....
