“There is no quality here, only quantity,” said Kenneth Palinkas, president of the National Citizenship and Immigration Services Council. “USCIS is not equipped to handle this workload, and due to political interference in its mission, is not empowered to deny admission to all those who should be denied due to ineligibility. We have become a visa clearinghouse for the world, rather than the first line of defense for a secure immigration system.”
"The officers who would be charged with approving millions of applications from illegal immigrants for legal status warned Congress this week that they can’t handle the workload, and said the change would guarantee criminals and others would be approved to remain in the country."

You guys are focusing on the wrong aspect of this.
How do you think 11-33 million people are going to be deported?
(self deportation is myth.)edit on 1-2-2014 by Leonidas because: (no reason given)
Amnesty will cost American taxpayers at least $6.3 trillion in welfare and other public benefits, according to a Heritage Foundation study.
“We looked at all spending that’s federal, state and local and we looked at all the taxes that immigrants pay in. After that it’s a matter of subtraction, the taxes that are paid and the benefits that are received,” Richwine told WND. ”The biggest categories that contribute to the fiscal deficit are public education and the federal means-tested programs that immigrants will receive after amnesty as well as what happens in the future with retirement, especially Social Security and Medicare.”

So yeah...we can afford to deport illegals. It will cost too much for them to stay.edit on 1-2-2014 by Night Star because: (no reason given)

NO ONE is talking about concentration camps for goodness sake.
Deporting people is easy. Just because no one has the "political will" does not mean it is right or our duty to allow people to break whatever laws they would like to break.
If I don't like murder laws then does this mean I can go out and commit murder and tell the government to exonerate me because their laws on murder sucked?
lol..
Breaking one law is the same as breaking another. Does not matter which one you choose.
If I broke a law I would expect to stand for that crime. I would also expect the same of others. The crime of being here illegally is punished by deportation.edit on 1-2-2014 by OpinionatedB because: (no reason given)

Its not our problem if their countries don't want them back, they are their own countries problem. Not ours.
As far as how... as I said earlier, each and every time someone is caught, whether that is through an INS sweep at job sites, whether that is through being pulled over while driving, or whether it is because they were arrested for some reason.
If they are caught, they go. No passing go, no nothing, just on a bus they go.
Plus you still havent addressed the reality of why they are here, people and companies hire them by the millions. As long as there are jobs and people willing to hire them, they will come. Not all Americans believe as you do that they are a problem.

They are illegal. They committed a crime. Period.
I want them gone. Out. Back to where they came from.
This country has 15 million unemployed citizens. I bet some jobs would free up for our own people when we actually got rid of the illegals.

Exactly! They are hired because companies can pay them peanuts and treat them like crap. Like I said, if you take away the jobs and freebies, they will have no desire to be here. We need to enforce existing laws and companies won't be allowed to hire them.
