I also think the Rendlesham device may have been an experimental US aerial vehicle.
There seem to be some similarities of the description of the device with the Cash-Landrum incident in the US of the 29 December 1980 (if this incident did occur & was a physical object). Was not dripping light also described dropping of that object by the witnesses in the car & also did they not report object appeared to be followed by a formation of CH-47s ?

I would imagine US & NATO may have been testing some pretty radical equipment for the early 1980s in a bid to get ahead of the Soviet Union.

Well yes and no.

It's entirely possible there was something experimental going on.

The Rendlesham incident occurred across 3 nights. The other problem is that other than one witness no one else appears to have reported seeing a structured craft. Just lights in the forest and of course on the 3rd night up above in the sky.

The Rendlesham incident occurred near to 2 NATO airbases and the main witnesses are military personnel. The Cash Landrum incident was above a US highway with just 3 civilian witnesses.

Maybe there is a connection. But so far there is nothing I've seen that links the two incidents together.

When I read about the Biefield - Brown effect, the timeframe, the flyer, the balsa wood, the tin foil ... my mind went "Rosw ... ? Oh no, don't go there!".

Me too!

Honestly-

I don't take the JP "craft" very seriously.. unless of course there were experiments with
"little drones going on at the time".

Now I *do* take seriously possible *real* craft-like sightings in the general area at
other times.. as I tend to believe AP.

Now.. it's not that I think JP is a liar.. not at all... it's just that the "effect" put off
by "whatever" does scramble perceptions.. my own BTFU encounter messed with
my head too for years...

As for not thinking the government would risk experimental aircraft at such a volatile
time.. I sorta disagree... that's exactly the sort of time they would be completely
desperate for Intel at any cost.

Remember, I was part of the Iran Hostage Crisis rescue attempt #2 around something
like 1984... it's not necessarily in the history books either.. it was classified and turned
out highly embarrassing for the military/government, as all our navy seals were
captured and killed.

You know all the talk about "high strangeness" and how it seems "reality"
is different in multiple ways simultaneously?

Well the "Phenomenon" does act that way.. but that aside..

If there's a combination of a "real craft" (a drone that gets beamed power)
and the secondary plasma effects, which also can be seen.. can also
scramble perceptions.. and ultimately might be "alive-ish" for periods
of time..

there's plenty of confusing "actors" to cause various people to see various
things..

So are you suggesting Jim did not touch any glyphs?

And he never got a binary download as claimed.

This is going in circles.

I can't speak for the human race, but i'd wager that almost
anyone who studies this subject wouldn't believe that.

I'm more charitable than most.. I don't call him a liar
or someone seeking to make $$.

I say that the phenomenon messes with someones mind
for years afterwards.. that's why the endlessly changing
and inconsistent stories.

The same thing happened to me.

PS: In case I wasn't clear.. I have no problem with the
notion that people have been seeing triangular UFOs
in that region for a long time.

But I think JP got all excited, and things didn't quite
unfold (in the real world) in the way he thought.

That's all.

Kundalini is the mother of deception.

If you write a book about Kundalini, you tend to make a complete fool
of yourself.

I was a member of one of the most prestigous kundalini organizatons
for over 20 years.. and I still am not *quite* ready to write a book
on the topic.

Our brains desire to make sense of a chaotic world.. people don't
do scientific research.. they assume that their wild assumptions
are better than other people's wild assumptions, then they write
a book about it.

Now.. I have no problem with writing a book to discuss experiences
and possible THEORIES that need to be tested.

But most people who write such books think that they are UFO-JESUS
saving the world and showering it with their wisdom.

Idiots.

I would not know Kev its not really something am an expert on.

I just noticed your interests and of course Jims co- author happens to be into all of that.

That is all really. I could not even begin to have an educated conversation about that subject as I know so little.

Yep he's a very confused guy.

We've been over this on a number of occasions. He has gone from being 50m or more away from anything at all to touching, photographing, sketching and enduriing a binary code penetration of his mind whilst his two partners were frozen in a time bubble.

His own website has him believing that his witness statement was written up with British spellings (but his website actually contradicts that). See : earlier in the thread.

He also describes the events of the first night as beginning at around midnight in "Encounter.." book. The consensus of others is that it began around 3am and all personnel were back at their posts by 4:30am. But then he has to work in the 45 minute inspection (slow worker).

Then of course we have his complete meltdown on the Angelia Joiner show.

Angelia Joiner questions Jim Penniston about the binary codes he allegedly received during a telepathic "download" in December 1980. He finally admits he knew what the codes said BEFORE they were deciphered! This after stating in numerous interviews (including several times in this one) that he thought the codes "didn't mean nothin" and would turn out to be "gibberish."

When asked why he withheld the codes for so long, Why he initially only gave 6 pages to be decoded instead of all of them, and If the ones he gave were in sequence... Jim Penniston:"Because they didn't mean nothin to me. I didn't even know it was binary code, ok... honestly."-30th Anniv Conference Dec 2010 "

Angelia, 1's and zeros... I don't know what they mean, deciphered or not. These are what the experts are saying it says. I mean I don't know how to do that, its beyond my capability." -Joiner Report Jan 2011"

At the shoot the film people were saying we should get those decoded...I said yeah we could, but its probably just gibberish." - Joiner Report Jan 2011

"Yep, in sequence..the first six pages. First of all I just thought they were gibberish, I didn't think they were going to say anything" - Joiner Report Jan 2011

" I knew what those 6 pages said before they were deciphered." - later during same interview, Joiner Report Jan 2011

There's more of course but after Warren, he's next on the list of most untrustworthy looking testimony.

That's a great summary!

BTW, thank you for this RFI thread .. I'm not sure I ever properly thanked you..
It has been real service to the UFO community.

I thought that I'd opine here.. that sometimes when someone is desperate to attribute
meaning to something that has really gotten under their skin, a certain type of
individual sometimes attaches themselves to that person.. to get their 5 cents
of fame rubbed off on them.. and more to the point.. INJECTS THEIR OWN BS
INTO THE NARRATIVE, eventually convincing the "experiencer victim" that the
updated narrative was ALWAYS the narrative.

That's my opinion on part of this JP "drift" all over the place.

Of course people do this to themselves too.. but when someone else worships
at their temple and feeds them BS and controls the narrative from then on..
it's more obvious and disgusting..

But it's human nature.. we all do a mild form of that to each other all the time.

Regarding the witnesses differing accounts and loss of memory it is now believed to be because of chemical hypnosis, some investigators and John burrows believe this theory and would make sense if whatever happened is ATS, something very strange happened that's for sure and I'm not one of Mr ridpaths followers.
The only person I was believing in the beginning was halt but we now know he has told a few untruths and knows far more than he is letting on and I doubt the truth will be known for a very long time, if at all.
