People are tuning in to find out WHATf he is going to do about the Naval base!

I know, right. I tuned in and he was talking about the poor and down-trodden so I just disconnected the feed.

State that there may have been more than 1 shooter. Check.
Scare the population. Check.

Lock down entire city and impose draconian police-state atmosphere. . . . Pending.

As opposed to what Beez? The media not covering it? Not doing everything possible to warn people or catch the shooters?

Safety before freedom!

Still not getting it? Should they do media blackout? Not secure the area? Not make the local people aware that a shooter is on the loose?

I mean, I understand the high altitude convenience of the broad accusation that this is an affront to our civil liberties, but I am glad they caught the Boston Bombers before they made it to Times Square for act 2. I want my government to make local families aware their is a shooter on loose. I want them to secure the area and try to catch the terrorists or wackos.

I am right across the street. We are "sheltered in place". Helicopters and USMC have surrounded my building. We are safe.

I wish I was recording it off the live feed, as soon as he said Syria both news anchors started going "Uhhh" , then the presidents feed was stopped and they switched to the anchors. Was pretty funny ...

Yes, this was a scheduled press conference and the reporter stated that after they finally cut him off, but yeah, he was scheduled to discuss the economy.

Feel safe. We have USMC with AR15s protecting the entire facility. Both inside and outside. Also about 20 or so DC Metro police too.

I'm trying really hard not to jump on the conspiracy theory bandwagon here. But he just jumped on Syria as soon as he was on.
"Oh, there's a shooting? Ok, um, we're getting to the bottom of it. Yay USA! Ok, now back to business, Syria, Obamacare, economy, go!"

No offense...But people were just murdered and folks are risking there lives to save innocent people and catch the bad guys. A cop has already been shot...

Speaking in bumper sticker slogans absent substance seems just empty and opportunistic.

How is anyone in this scenario sacrificing freedom for safety?

Folks are sacrificing though...From initial reports one Police Officer was shot twice and is either in critical condition or dead. What was he trading? Safety over freedom?

Just don't think times like this are appropriate for BS, Bumper Sticker speak slamming those folks putting their lives on the line to catch killers and keep innocent folks safe.
