Just addressing one part of your post.

Does anyone know anymore about this trapping mechanism and what forces are acting on the radioactive particles that make them form into belts?

The energetic particles that ride earths magnetic field to the poles are not "radioactive particles" like the contamination from Fuku. Its a problem of definition really.

Radiation from the sun can kill you but won't contaminate you the way a particle of radioactive Plutonium can.

An X-ray or gamma ray from the sun passes thru your body (hopefully without hitting anything) and is gone. The "source" of the "ray" is indeed the sun.

On the other hand, a particle of radioactive contamination from Fuku if ingested is like swallowing a mini X-ray machine that can't be turned off. If absorbed that source sits in your bones and connective tissue and irradiates cells around it, potentially giving rise to cancer.

Thats a real short answer of the difference between the two "sources" (the Sun and Fuku).

Heres a linky...

...and a video about the short decay path "alpha" emitters exhibit. Its "techie", ignore the tools used and focus more on the strip of Americium from the smoke detector. Alpha rays travel very short distances (5 to 10 microns) but do lethal damage to body cells in that range. Some die, some mutate...

Earths electromagnetic field and radio antenna's aren't able to address thee issues of man made radioactivity down here on the planet.

Does anyone else have eyes on the Fukushima webcam?

Link to livestream

Sounds rough!

And thanks intrptr - the insight is much appreciated!

NHK-- typhoon over Fukushima

Workers at the nuclear plant have placed weights on large cranes to stop them toppling over. The cranes are used to move debris around the reactor buildings.

They have also tied down outdoor pumps and piping, used to inject water into the reactors.

Tokyo Electric Power Company is strengthening patrols to stop rain from overflowing the basement of turbine buildings and the underground tunnel where highly contaminated water has accumulated.

Wished there was a better source than NHK for this...

...tying down hoses for pumps with rope? Ahh, I see they have now omitted the rope part. It was there a while ago. Guess that sounded too Rube Goldberg.

Actually this storm is the most dangerous thing for Fukushima lately.

But you aren't there either are you?

No, i am as i said in Tokyo and 250Km away from Daiichi
but always when we have Quakes or Typhoons our whole TV Program
switch to the Emergency Mode (Reporter wear Overall and a Helmet)
and we get a 24 Hours Reportage, so we know very well what is happening'

At the moment I see a lot of Water in Kyoto, looks baaaaaad!

I am by no means small minded, what I am is open minded but when you call me unrealistic I take offence, nowhere did I call you a liar all I said was you continuously quote TEPCO (The Toxic Effluence Production Company) reports and figures as if they are the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, which to any one with an even slightly open mind is obviously not the truth!
What data/temperatures/quantities of water/number of leaking tanks have we been told about by the TEPCO spin doctors which has been proven true? Not much! But you can continue to call me small minded and I will continue to ignore your disinfo!

You called me biased first, so don't fight on a Terrain where you don't like
the Environment!

"I read much more Truth" on a Tepco Page than on Enenews or Rofl-Russia Today.

It is all that simple!

By the Way you wrote this:

Hi Aircooled

Just want to say I stopped taking any notice of Human0815 posts before Part 1 of this thread was closed! Biased, close minded disinfo at its most obvious!

None of us should respond to him/her at all as it seems that makes this person think that we actually believe what they are spouting!

How can we trust anyone who seems to quote and rely mostly on reports leaked by TEPCO? Thanks again to all posting believable info on the new part of this thread, QM2, AC, Intrprtr, PHNX, LBE, too many to mention, thank you all!

Be happy that i am soo nice to you!

Noisy?! I am from Africa, the Southern Hemisphere and I will be as noisy as I like because this affects us all and you trying to deny what is happening will not change one persons mind!

My thanks to Wertwog, you said it better than I could!

Reliable!? Like TEPCO reliable or REAL/PROVABLE RELIABLE?

And don't tell me to keep my mouth closed! I am not a child and I definitely do not take any orders from you OR The Toxic Effluence Production Company!

Found this on Mainichi

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Data transmission from the Monju prototype fast-breeder reactor in central Japan has been suspended since early Monday, the Nuclear Regulation Authority said.

It was not known immediately whether the trouble was caused in relation to a powerful typhoon that ripped through Japan's mainland on Monday, according to the NRA.

Transmission of reactor monitoring data to the government's Emergency Response Support System stopped before 3 a.m., the NRA said. The NRA is collecting necessary data from the Japan Atomic Energy Agency that operates the reactor.

There are no prospects for restoration of data transmission for now, with the reactor site in Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture, inaccessible due to mudslides and fallen trees caused by the typhoon, it said.

The Monju reactor has effectively been prohibited from operation because of lax safety management by the operato

So Japan is currently without any operational nuclear reactors, does that seem coincidental to anyone else?

No, it was forseeable!
I doubt that more than 20-25% of the NPP restart!

Monju is a strange Case but i doubt/ hope that it is something really bad!

Problem is that we have today a National Holiday and the Press is not working
or report from the Typhoon only.

Obviously it is a strange case, thats why i posted it. Seems the storm hit that area hard if they cannot reach it. I also understand the rail service is out and there are a number of people without power.

did some rain swipes this morning, since it's raining in eastern pennsylvanaia, looking at 150-200CPM, highest i have ever measured here.

i haven't done a rain swipe in a while, so i have no idea of how the averages would be currently.

When i would measure such a high Amount i would do a deeper Screening,
maybe even contact a Laboratory for a professional Check Up,
it is not that expensive to get a Statement!
(Checks coming from low as 250$ for Soil)
