Yay, I hated that feature lol.
But really... honest question... Why is there an emoticon of a guy holding a gun? is there a need for it? IS it relevant in a thread?

Seems kinda out of place if u ask me.

Edit: Also the circle to indicates on which page you'r on, seems kinda odd. Why not put the page number in bold or a different color?

The only thing I liked about the ribbon was how it would pop up if you got a pm. Will the message button on the top right light up if a message is received? If so, no biggie on the ribbon imo

I like the dark/light button and the info page and the other buttons on top (if ATS gets a Spreadshirt or Zazzle account, I would link it there, Spreadshirt has cheaper clothing prices).

Info Panel
I like the stats, privacy, legal (including T&C), advertising information and contact information pages.

Archive
The link to the archive page is amazing. It is useful for seeing what was going on in the world at different periods of time. Could there also be a "search" box in the upper-right to make searching for topics easier?

I figure that would be related to the archive. That would be awesome.

Forums

I like the forums page, and I like all of the board information as well (such as stats, staff, moderators, and online members, but would it be possible to put those at the bottom of the page like movie credits or something? It would allow the relevant forums to be posted near the top of the page, and that would make it easier to navigate. That would be awesome.

Forum Specific Pages

I like the setup here. I like the "Recent, New, Flags and Replies" but then what is the difference between "Recent" and "New?"

The drop down arrow doesn't work in the menu. Is that where the tool, profile, downloads, etc. are?

After I posted a reply, the screen went to the top of the thread instead of my post.

System is very slow on bringing up the page. I am on 30 (whatever it's called) download speed. Should be flying up to the screen, but it isn't.
Scrolling is very slow also. Kind of jagged, if that makes any sense.

I don't like the new emoticons. I like the ones we have now.

I just want to thank you for keeping the avatar/backgrounds, I know you initially considered dumping them. I enjoy seeing them and having them. I like the grey look and am very glad we have a choice in that as well. I know this has been a labor of love for you, but a labor none the less. Thank you for all you have done, and will do for us.

what is the difference between "Recent" and "New?"

Recent is threads with recent replies -- like the recent posts page.
New is new threads.

Where is "Deny Ignorance" ? Will it be removed? I can't seem to find the slogan anywhere.

I've been testing for about a month now

After switching back and forth between the light/dark versions I have noticed that the box surrounding each individual post is very difficult to see in the light version, but very nicely defined in the dark version.

Does anything pop up or light up when you have a new message? I will never remember to check my messages after being spoiled by the ribbon

Where are my friends and foes? I always read my friend's threads first thing when I log in- am I missing something?

I just want to toss in here that the "i" information pages from the top right Icon show a display of information better than what I've seen before. Everything is there in one spot and so much to share with us all for statistics and numbers, too. So few sites share that much data.

So shallow...but agreed as long as it is X-files/Matrix Green...

Will you be adding an ATS Live button to the menu bar at the top?

The ribbon tends to be the only way i know when you are broadcasting.

Perhaps one that lights up when it is Live similar to the sign in broadcast studios.
