Well no, when i walk down the street and see a Muslim i don't fear them. I don't become scared that they will attack me or that they are a terrorist. No more so than any person on the street.

It's not about clumping people together in to one big group. It's noticing a pattern of disrespect from groups of Muslims who seem to hate the UK so bad but yet stay here. There is no justification for burning poppies and vandalizing war memorials. None whatsoever. And like i said before spray painting ISLAM over a war memorial in London is 1) using their religion in their crime 2) showing no respect to the country in which they CHOOSE to live in.

Crime is crime. It's not about being Muslim until those taking part MAKE it about being a Muslim.

Then you have drunk the kool aid. You have decided to condemn the many for the actions of the few.

Do you trust the Germans or the Japanese? We fought a world war against them, and between them they committed far, far worse atrocities than we see today.

Let me be the first to say this:

I condemn all religions from killing other religions & non-religions.

This is a hate crime on religion. It had nothing to do with the human.

We are living in a world that is at war with religion.

Yes. It is quite surprising that the OP appears to have called anyone who disagrees with her dumb.

People aren't thinking. They're being dumb.

Perhaps I have just misunderstood.

Absolutely and that's sadly why we can't be too tolerant.

Couldn't have said it better. I don't agree with their laws but I'm not going around burning mosques to the ground, so why should they deface something people of this country respect and admire.

Yeah. I bet they're gathering... just like the storm clouds of intolerance towards them are.

I don't think that just because we don't agree with your point of view we are being dumb. People have reasons to not like certain people for different reasons. I'm not calling you dumb for your views and opinions, I have my personal reasons for not being that tolerant towards certain Muslims who decided to get personal. And each one of us has a reason, that doesn't make us dumb.

I'm curious as to how any of this is pertinent to the topic. Which is "Thousands of Muslims gather in London to condemn murder of soldier Lee Rigby".

I think you'll find the Nazi atrocities are way overblown and the Japanese one's largely swept under the carpet. Such is history when it's written by the victors who are puppets of one of the victims and have a stronger economic affiliation with one of the aggressors over the other.

Not to worry. With China being a real world power soon, the West will be learning how much worse the Japanese were in wartime and how the Euro-centric, U.S. distorted history they have been taught (and largely not taught) has been skewed at best; at worst, lies. =)

The whole premise of the thread and article is basically flawed anyway.

The implication, from the headline, is to make the reader believe that there was a special gathering of thousands of muslims specifically for the condemnation of the murder. That's how it's phrased. 'Thousands of muslims gather to'. See how its designed to imply it was a gathering just for this purpose?

There wasn't.

There was a mention of it at Friday prayers, which all male muslims are compelled to attend.

The whole thing is misleading.

Unless anyone has any other evidence that it wasn't the normal Friday prayer session?

I think he was giving an example of different religions not them being immigrants.

Posting this Article from BBC website where it says that War Memorials in Hyde Park have been daubed with Graffiti!

Don't take my word for it but these could have easily been made by anyone just to provoke more outrage but there are no cameras around the Memorial, so no one has been arrested for the offense.

www.bbc.co.uk...

Vandals have daubed the word Islam in spray paint on war memorials in Green Park and Hyde Park in London.

Police were called to the RAF Bomber Command War Memorial at 05:00 BST and found engravings on the monument covered with paint

Exactly for most people religion is just faith something to believe in. I know people who are Catholic but wouldn't let their church tell them what to do. However Islam is a way of life the laws of their countries are based on it their lives are based on it radically.

Well it would have been a rather bland thread if everyone had just said "oh right cool" it probably wouldn't even have go to page 2

And of course it seems that they didn't gather specifically for this purpose...just standard Friday prayers. It is good that they acknowledged what had happened in the name of their religion though and condemned it, and I don't think that other people's opinions about Islam in any way detract from their condemnation of the atrocious attack in Woolwich

But I certainly wouldn't say that people are dumb for having an alternative viewpoint. If that's the case then there's no point in starting any threads at all, if we've all got to agree or be called dumb.

Okay so is it your disdain for certain people or is it a disdain of Islam. There is a difference. You seem to be in my opinion blurring the lines here a bit. People are people and Islam is a religion. I dislike certain people because they are A-holes. I don't hate on a religion because some of its followers are A-holes.

If you are a female in certain parts of the UK you may well have personal reasons for disliking certain aspects of Islam..many male muslims have zero respect for western women and have no problem displaying their lack of respect.
