At least they didn't tie him up and drag him behind a vehicle. They were displaying gratitude and joy. it's wrong to think lowly of them for that. Their boogie man had been captured. People can sleep easier at night now.

I saw a very an image barley alive of the suspect at an hospital, not sure if i am allowed to post it.

Wow! I went to sleep yesterday morning at around page 65 and could hardly keep up! At 10:30 am it had exploded to nearly 250 pages and then at areound 4:40 it was nearly 350! No way I can keep up! I just heard the replay of Alex Jones' radio show today where he interviewed someone who said the fingers of the dead brother were extended which indicated the body had been dead for quite sometime compared to a (pardon the graphic language) "fresher" death where the fingers would be in a more relaxed state. Can anyone comment on this or provide an approx time of death for the first "suspect" via scanner?

Does anyone know whatever happened to the naked guy?!? Tried a google search but didn't find anything.

Police had him lay down because he matched the description of the suspect.
Police had him undress himself to prove he did not have an explosive vest on.
Police moved in and took him away.
Police checked his ID, found him simply in the right place at the wrong time.
Police probably apologised to him
Police released him as unconnected to the case.

I really hope he gets a fair trial. I am not saying that because I like the guy or what he did. I am saying that because he was a citizen of this country. It would set a good example to the rest of the world that in the face of a lot of messed up things, at least we can say our principles are sound. But I doubt it... and somehow thats more scary than terrorism to me.

This thread has pretty much ended it seems. Was on here since page 30, through the downtimes of the thread, and radio scanners. Was pretty good, excellent journalism from everyone at ATS, we knew everything way before the media, and when scanner was down others reported all major incidents, brilliant

Hopefully its all over now, and the 19 year old suspect will live to first tell everything about what happened, and then get to live the rest of his life in jail (unless the state has capital punishment, not sure).

I just hope we will be told the truth about everything he says, like the planning, how many were involved, etc.

I know he was naked because the police had him take all of his clothes off before they approached him. I think he was put into a cop car but not sure what happened after that.

I was on this post all night and day until the suspect was apprehended then I went to sleep. I don't mean to offend you by asking the question. I googled him and all I was seeing was that he was arrested. Sorry for being such a burden on you.

Here's an old update from page 52 which was copied and pasted at the time to answer questions like this. By now there is probably a far better summary of everything that has happened so far, but this is the only one I've seen so yet (waiting for good timelines from media, or maybe someone on ATS might do it).

Here is a recap on all the events, so as to stop the confusion:

1. MIT police officer shot dead
2. Police respond to MIT shooting, suspects still at large
3. Unconfirmed reports of explosion at MIT, by ATS member on skype with friend at scene. !!!unconfirmed!!!
4. Male carjacked at gunpoint in black mercedes, by two, "short" middle eastern men, who held him hostage for half hour, whilst driving around
5. Middle Eastern Males talked about going to New York City, before they released the carjacking victim, who rang police
6. Car spotted at a Gas Station, where suspects sped off at speed
7. Police pursuit of vehicle
8. Suspects fire and throw "explosives" at police from Mercedes
9. Something happens (unclear) and suspects ditch Mercedes and make off in State Police SUV
10. Officer heard screaming on scanner that suspects were throwing explosives at him (lots of gunfire heard in background)
11. Suspects leave SUV and gain control over a black Camaro somehow (unclear as to how)
12. Suspects leave Camaro in Watertown on foot
13. One suspect shot and transported to MG hospital
14. 2nd suspect evades police
15. Police locate him, but are called off by OC, due to explosive packages strew in different places "Retreat retreat" was heard over the scanner
16. Police corner a suspect (white male shown on news pictures), and make him lie on the ground and strip
17. White male was just caught in the whole situation and is freed
18. 2nd Suspect still remains at large.

Please note that the 2nd suspect is not at large anymore (don't know how to put a line through it using ATS code).

Sorry you took it personally, was not my intention. Just that there are multiple posts explaining this right through the 348 pages. Everyone wants to know about the naked guy. Just my sense of humor coming through. Sort of like a hundred people screaming 'the naked guy', the naked guy' 'what happened to the naked guy'

Ok I might annoy those who followed the thread till the end but the only bit I missed out on was the guy that apparently had the dead mans switch. I wouldn't know where to start as to which page to go back to but can anyone clear up what had happened to him .. The last I heard was that they had a robot trying to remove a vest from him

He was a Saudi national and after he was cleared he was taken to the airport and immediatly flown back to Saudi Arabia.

Have there been any updates on the suspects current medical condition.

Has had had his rights read to him yet?
Did they interrogate him before he was given medical treatment?
