S/F for you OP. Pain is surely a debilitating condition. As someone who has dealt with some righteous back pain since a traffic accident, I will cop to being immobilized by pain. The main point with which I agree is that much of my reaction to pain is the fear of possible damage rather than the pain itself being unbearable. I've been trying to train myself through literally years of rigorous activity to dig the fact that I am strong. And most of the time that works.

However, when pain comes on -- especially really suddenly -- it takes me back to a time after the accident/surgery when I was completely overwhelmed, immobile and consequently completely vulnerable. I think the association is harder to get through than the pain itself. There are times when pain is a clear indication that something is wrong, but more often for myself it's been some sort of self-check -- it indicates to me that I should calm down 'or else.'

Deciphering that 'or else' voice and its motivations is one of the more interesting and difficult tasks I've worked on.

This is emptiness forming. This is nothing happening.
No one is separate because there is no one - this is all there is.
The happening is happening but it is not a thing that is happening - it is nothing....happening.

I am glad you got something out of it man.

Allot of times when talking about these things we are simply saying what WE see, from our limited point of view.

It is a cause for celebration when others can connect and share a window and a view. It really is something else.

As far as "God" caring, that term must be defined in it use since even in this thread "god" has taken on many roles.

time is the perception of events within a gravitational field.

It is a perception. Our minds have learned to adjust to it, but in their core, they operate without it.

All consciousness exists in the timeless and we filter it to decipherable levels according to our concept of its progression.

Really, the purest thought has no mention of it. It is simply a human construct.

We only measure our ability to measure. NOT time itself.

Move to planet with more or less mass and a greater or weaker gravitational field, and so greater or weaker gravitational distortion, also one that orbits a sun with more mass or less mass than our own sun and has a slower or faster revolution around it.

Time would not be constant. Even in the physical world we can see as much.

time truly is "relative".
