I agree with your post.
It is partially the redistribution schemes, but it's other things too that signify this Marxist admin. It is the Nanny State totalitarian approach with Big Govt controlling our lives. Nancy Pelosi telling people they have to pass bills before they can see what's inside them. What kind of unConstitutional tomfoolery is that? LIberals don't mind because they get the socialised healthcare, but they care that no one tells them they cannot have gay marriage and abortion. How about Michelle's attempt to control our diets. Does she project much? She's eating ice cream and whatever but has to tell us to watch our diets and not eat transfats and so forth. She has to run the school lunch programs and try to force black bean salads on kids who throw that stuff in the trash before they try it. THen there's the McNugget Bully who made a child eat McDonalds chicken nuggest instead of mom's packed lunch. These are Nanny Staters and they love telling us how to live our lives. Not only do they insist on changling the laws, they want to force the kids to accept their agendas without mom and dad's input. That's what all the values clarification is about and it's why the kids aren't learning what they need in schools to make them really productive individuals. They are being force fed a bunch of socialist slop.
Then there is what they are doing in foreign affairs, the overthrowing of pro Western leaders and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood while thumbing their nose at our traditional allies. There's Benghazigate now and massive voter fraud we have to completely uncover.
Oh and 900 new regulations in 90 days. Who knows what's in that little package.

Less than 30 seconds into that I can see he is an Obamaphile. No it isn't about getting "our way", it's about the Marxists getting their way. People just don't want the Marxist Superstate. and they don't want it so much they are willing to sign petitions to leave the Union that no longer represents the liberty of our Founding Fathers but the tyranny of a massive SuperNanny State.

50,000 people may seem like a lot, but in a population of over 300 MILLION it's just a drop in the bucket. Even in one good sized town of 1 million it would still only be 5% or so, never mind comparing against the whole states population. In reality it's just some disgruntled voters that didn't get what they wanted so now they're gonna complain on the internet for the next 4 years.

I think the Marxists are getting more of a revolution than they bargained for. They thought they were the only ones who get to decide the values of the Revolution.

These people are the most entitled, whiney, angry babies the planet has ever seen.

No it is just the opposite, it is the Nanny Staters who are the entitled ones. Don't want people to vote differently on a bill, don't tell them what's in it. Nancy proved you could do that in Congress no matter how unConstitutional it was.

Just a few short years ago there were so many liberals who hated Bush they continually spouted on the Internet how embarrassed they are to be Americans. Where have all those people gone? Oh now it's the other way and they are getting their Nanny State and suddenly the opposition doesn't get to be angry. What hypocrites!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, so 10 more states have joined since last night. Interesting. Maybe Puerto Rico will reconsider their desire to join the Union.

update: It seems that since you have posted, all 50 states have petitions though one still has to make it official.

25,000 signatures do not represent 25,000,000 people.

You realize that's the entire basis of our system of government right? That a fraction represents the whole.

yes of course, but the only difference is that these people were not elected to represent the state of Texas

Your state's governor a couple years ago spouted out at an anti-tax rally that Texas had the right to secede from the Union if they so chose.

Your state's highest elected official, the guy who represented the state of Texas said that.

True story

serious and they have no clue as to what they signed or the purpose or power it holds.

No, I'm pretty sure they DO know what they are about with this. And they are trying to send a message to the WH that cannot be ignored. The message is clear, Obama does not have a mandate to turn us into a Marxist state without stirring up the ire of passionate Patriots.

Silly yes, i mean did democrats do this during Bush's tyranny? now all of a sudden people talk about "last straw" "we had enough"... yeah all because their candidate didn't win.

What do you think it would be if the other Candidate won?

This will die over... its like 0.02% population.

There was much more people asking troops to get back, and that hasn't happened.

I agree but there is stupidity on both sides of the argument.. I mean saying we should be taking away someone's citizenship for this?

Have none of these people even read the bill of rights?!

States want to secede, meaning they want to relinquish citizenship. This anti-secession petition wants those who signed it to relinquish their citizenship. So what's the difference?

Well, they will take the Constitution and leave you Nanny Staters with the bill for your mistake, since Obama and the Democratic Socialists of the Banana Republic are already running all over the Constitution. .

Get real! You don't know the first thing about marxism and keep confusing it with a big wasteful croney capitalist dictatorship. Nobody likes croney capitalism anymore they you do, but making welfare to be the enemy instead of corporate offshoring and automation, only brings vile hatred towards you folks. We don't want your guns either, why should we?

There is NOTHING marxist about the united nations and the best proof is that cuba and north korea have been blockaded from trading in the markets for many decades. They have been trying to choke all socialist and communist nations and even giving cancer to socialist leaders.

Why do people like you have so much unfounded fear and hate of make-believe enemies? It is mind-boggling to me. I don't think it is ignorance because I have tried to explain stuff and people either ignore me or go all ballistic calling me a liar.

Go after the billionares and trillionares if you want respect from the left. These parasites are the ones paying to spread disinformation, to create a one world currency and a one world government. The united nations has stopped being the league of nations 60 years ago and is serving the military industrial complex of america, britain, france, and israel.

I AM SO SICK OF THE MALEVOLENT BS!

In response to the OP, I'd say there'd be no need for the WH to strip citizenship to states that have seceded. It can quickly become a moot point as one serves the other.

In a more constructive manner, I'd hope the Prez could see that, for the first time in over a hundred years, an overwhelming number of American citizens agree that the federal-level government grossly oversteps its bounds today and is, at a minimum, bordering on moving into a tyrannical regime with a global government emerging just behind the curtain.

A global government seizing power means our Constitution gets reduced to a useless piece of paper and the liberty and freedom for which my forefathers died (the costs were enormous during that time, entire family lines ended fighting against overstepped power of the British crown).

The current "style" of our federal government stands on the precipice of snuffing out FREEDOM. My prayers are that those in power recognize the gravity and consequences for every decision they're making... and that they'd make the choice that supports freedom.

The U.N. and Bill Gates want to pump us all full of GMOs that are engineered to give us all cancer, sterility, and weak bodies. The federal agency that could do the right thing on GMOs is helmed by former heads of Big Food and Big Pharma companies. It won't be long before the population dies off after undergoing high-cost medical therapies so all the insiders get to make their huge amounts of blood money.

Additionally, when nearly every citizen is sucking from Uncle Sam's teet we all become dependent and less critical of the State's choices. Never in a million years did our Founding Fathers expect this would be a country of citizens that turn a blind eye to keeping their political representatives accountable and participating in the public discourse, which includes reading, studying, and debating ideas from the greatest thinkers--from ancient world to modern. Instead, we have the stupidest population that has ever been granted a smidgeon of freedom.

It's almost like we, as an averaged whole, deserve to return to Feudalist slavery... and we will unless people wake up, pay attention, get involved, and study why our Founding Fathers gave everything they had for the ideals in our Constitution. But watching American Idol and the Kardashians and football is much more comforting than facing the truth. That's because the TV causes the human brain (just like chimpanzees, rats, and mice) to release dopamine for an opiate effect similar to opium.

WHERE THE HELL WAS OBAMA OR ROMNEY???? They don't give a rat's ass about america, correction they hate america. And so does mainstream disinformation media.
Why are people arguing about welfare and gun control? Divide and conquer.

No major private network could be bothered to broadcast Third Party debate so I guess the russians had to do it. Maybe they work for the kgb?
No, it is just they value freedom of information more because they are not in the pockets of the bilderbergers, illuminati, european royals, etc.

Wake the hell up people!

The Occupy movement was a joke from the very beginning.

I seriously wonder what the gov't would do if US citizens renounced their citizenship and didn't leave the country.

I, and many others, are not US citizens, but live in this country. We are members of the Republic. You have to know the difference between US citizen and American National, or a member of the Republic. United States is not a country--See "The Act of 1871".

One member on this site called me ignorant and that I should come back to the present century. What this person doesn't realize is that history has a lot to do with what is happening to us right now. I read somewhere that those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it.
I don't think this secession movement will go anywhere, but it sure is getting the attention of Corp US.

Another interesting thing to look at is "The Bankruptcy of the United States of1933". It was taken over by it's creditors. (Happy Independence Day) That's why we operate in receivership and only use debt script (federal reserve notes) which are not "lawful money".
The National Government, that we had prior to the incorporation, was never meant to rule over the people in the states. Yes, the states were treated as separate nations in relation to the Fed. Gov.

Also, statutes are not law. Statutes are corporation policy. If the Wal-Mart CEO came to you and said you had to buy their employees insurance policy would you do it. Hell no! As long as you are not a member of the employee team at that corporation, you would not have to even consider it. Soooo, if you're not a member of the corporation known as United States, you don't have to put up with their policy(statutes).

Research and learn. Find the truth as to who you are and where you stand.

Well we practically don't have much of a choice about choosing to live either as citizens or sovereign nationals, because it involves lots of paperwork initially and lots of hassle with the law whenever we get in trouble. I think the best solution is to vote for people who actually care about this country and it will not come from a D or R unfortunately: both sheep parties. There are many parties to choose from, provided the mainstream media does their job as they freaking should have been doing all along.

The corporation is owned by the bilderbergers, illuminati and royal families. The same beorgoise has been at it for thousands of years and all their surreptitious planning is coming to fruitition, especially in the middle east with israel.
