I'm also glad the aboriginal leaders in this country are finally taking steps to become their own nation within Canada. Having diplomatic relations and partners in other countries will no doubt help.

I also think it's great that we ar shining light on what is a 400 year genocide on aboriginal people in Canada. I'm DISGUSTED by the actions of my ancestors and the current actions of Canadian's in charge regarding aboriginal affairs.

I have no words to express my malcontent.

I've known of Terry Nelson for some time. He's a convicted criminal, he cheated his own people with free gasoline and running illegal casinos on the Roseau River First Nations. Amongst my own, he's scum, a thief who lined his pockets as well as his own family with ill-gotten goods. Oppressed my a$$. Aboriginals in Canada have more rights and advantages than any other race. Argue this with me if you will.

Canadian Natives need to look in the mirror. A report published last year shows how nine tenths of the Canadian Chiefs make more than what our Prime Minister does. Meanwhile, while their leaders are making somtimes in the region of 7 figures, their tribes languish in squallor and poverty.

When i was younger i worked construction and it took me to various places about my province, and contracted my services to the reserves. They get high and drugged up, destroy their own houses when in these states and then expect then to be rebuilt again the next spring. Happens every year. Every year, vast amounts of money are transfered to these reserves and tribes, and vast amounts are wasted on drugs and alcohol.

I know people will say this is ours (non-Natives) fault, but i disagree. If you are addicted to substances, the only one who can help you in the end is yourself. These people need to break the cycle and move on with their lives. If life is so tough on the reserve, why not move? Unlike the lies this leader spreads, it is NOT aparthied, they are free to come and go as they choose. I would never live in the conditions i witness on many reserves. We come in and fix things every year, within 10 month, everything is destroyed, graphiti'd up and otherwise useless.

I am simply looking at circumstantial evidence and as well my direct experience with CSIS, the government and ambassadors. You'll just have to dig because I won't breach gag orders and name names.

Don't try and tell me what you think you know, because I highly doubt you know much. Your support of harper is rather telling and people like that are either deniers of the truth or compartmentalized and doing a job.
