The discovery of integrated circuits and consequential boost of exponential increase in computational power maybe.

Edit: Apparently the patent for the first integrated circuit (which is the root of modern day computing devices) was made in "1949" by Werner jacobi. I don't really believe that the technology was reverse engineered from alien technology but looking at the dates and the way this technology gave us a leap in terms of technological development (meaning that it converted our linear rate of progression into an exponential one) it's certainly intriguing.

The Apollo guidance computer had the equivalent computing power of today's kitchen appliances, far less than that required to go to the Moon.

Unlike general-purpose computers, the Apollo guidance computer had to perform only one task - guidance. Most of the number crunching was performed at Mission Control on several mainframe computers. The results were then transmitted to the onboard computer, which acted upon them. The Apollo guidance computer was capable of computing only a small number of navigation problems itself. Since the guidance computer had to run only one program, that program could be put in ROM, thus only a small amount of RAM was required to hold the temporary results of guidance calculations.

The hoax advocates tend to overrate the tasks performed by the onboard guidance computers of the 1960's. In fact, the Mercury spacecraft, 1961-63, flew into space without any onboard computer whatsoever, yet the trajectories were precisely controlled and the capsule was capable of fully automated control.

The computer technology did not exist in the 1960's to build the Apollo guidance computer
.

Computer companies of the 1960's had to produce general-purpose computers at a cost that would attract consumers. NASA, on the other hand, required a computer capable of performing only a single task - guidance - and could easily afford a custom designed and built system using cutting edge components and techniques. Although modern microprocessors did not yet exist, microchips performing simple tasks were available in the early 1960's, and these could be built-up into computer processors. By the mid-1960's several companies were producing commercially available integrated circuits.

The hoax advocates often become trapped into a single way of thinking. Just because one technology is used to solve a particular problem today does not mean that problem was unsolvable before the technology was available. Man is much more creative than the hoax advocates are willing to acknowledge.

This dirtbag can say all he wants about anything at anytime......Does he EVER offer a shred of evidence to back it up??

NO!!

This guy is so full of crap, it is going to start coming out of his ears!!

If this "Dr." is such a benefit to the UFO community, then why is there NEVER solid evidence that points to anything other than he is doing it for the money??

You hit the nail on the head OP, I wouldn't believe a word this scumbag says unless it is backed up with......EVIDENCE!!

Armstrong's brother disputes the 'official story'. The pro-Apollo crowd in this thread won't like this one bit. Because now we can Google "armstrong liar" and we get some hits from sources that back it up.

Read it and weep, Apollo cheerleaders. www.businessinsider.com...

In "Neil Armstrong — First Man on the Moon," the astronaut's brother, Dean Armstrong, contends that Neil thought up the famous line months before the historic landing. He also confirms that the planned phrase included the word "a."

In a 2005 biography, Neil also said that he came up with the statement in the few hours after landing.

You don't have any firm understanding in this, do you? We are discussing a news report that clearly indicates Neil Armstrong made up his whole story (myth) of how he devised the "One small step..." speech.

Dean Armstrong is more credible than you and his testimony is more credible than yours. That's a simple fact.

The London Telegraph is not hearsay. www.telegraph.co.uk...

Neil Armstrong’s family reveal origins of 'one small step' line
Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, wrote his famous “one small step” speech long before flying to the Moon despite claiming he thought it up after landing on the surface, according to his family.

That means, Neil Armstrong was a liar.

Greer is a fraud. Anyone who continues to circle jerk the scumbags that promote the "moon hoax" and aliens on the moon conspiracies are as bad as he. It happened. There are/were no aliens there..get over it.

There was a room full of engineers, programmers, mathematicians, physicists, geologists, analysts & more....all making sure the moon landing was possible. Its an insult to their hard work to listen to two bit charlatans like Greer.

PsykoOps, please get over yourself. You are not a valid source in this controversy so your opinion is totally useless and irrelevant.

Dean Armstrong is telling you that Neil Armstrong made up the story, months before the landing, of how he (Neil) came up with the "One small step..." speech.

That means Neil was not telling us the whole truth about the "One small step..." speech in his 2005 biography.

Dear Mr. Jupiter,
You use the phrase "Dean Armstrong is telling you..." and that there is the issue. He could just as well tell me there are pink unicorns in the moon cause Neil told him so. So unless you can conjur up something that can be actually verified you are presenting basically nothing.

So they really landed (and we have the flag, etc left behind) but they had to fake it on tv because:
a) the aliens did not want their picture taken
b) interference from the Van Allen Belt
c) too much of a time delay
d) all of the above
????

Come on, it is insanity. There are such OBVIOUS IMAGES of mars and the moon artifacts that things just have to come out eventually especially that Nasa themselves leaks things out that are obvious. It just eventually has to come out.
Too many images that are so bluntly a no brainer. So when somebody comes out with something, I think the cat is out of the bag long before that happened!
