Hey and welcome! For the initiation you're going to need a safety razor, a 24 inch bicycle tire tube - deflated, one tube of cyan water based paint, eight ping pong balls, and a blueberry muffin.

Check back in when you're stocked up and ready!

Just kidding.... welcome to the Warzone

My 3rd and final piece is up

Thank-you so much for such an excellent and thought-provoking subject Druid.

It has been an absolute pleasure.

It is a shame that we cannot continue this as I have so much more I wish to cover give a complete analysis.

My third, and final, post is up in the Time Travel Debate Series.

adjensen, I admire you for your tenacity to see the series to it's conclusion. You have one more post, then fate is left to the judges.

That, as a series, was fun. We were able to pull info from 2 other debates, but together, we covered a lot of topical area. To debate fringe topics such as this is a nice mental exercise, and it's refreshing to think about "stuff" like this in formal setting.

Welcome to the Debate Forum.
Glad you could make it....

I am just finishing up on a couple of debates, so I'll be free to open a challenge. Any topics that you are interested in?

You have to get your feet wet, so jump right in with a suggestion. Otherwise, I'll offer you a few.

Once you join, there's no way out, save through.

Roger that

I am open to debating any topic and I try to remain neutral at all times.

No subject is taboo for me, unless of course it conflicts with T&C.

Thanks for the welcome.

Well, Spike, I'm a major fan of Cowboy Bebop, as you apparently are, so how about "Japanese Animation versus American Animation"? You can take either side.

(For purposes of debate, we'll consider it the studio of origination, not production, so American outsourcing of animation production to Korea shouldn't play into it.)

Cool. All you need to do is formally propose the debate and request approval by the mods in this thread, and then present your opening argument by creating a new thread in the forum, with the title:

Challenge Match: Spike Spiegle vs adjensen: Japanese Animation is better (more realistic / whatever the approved perspective is) than American Animation

and including your argument as the first post (go look at most other threads in the forum for an example -- don't use the second time travel debate between myself and Druid42 -- that was unique.)

My final post is up in the Voynich Manuscript Debate.

It's officially submitted for judging!

Thanks Sublimecraft, for accepting the challenge. It's was, like you said, too short. So much about the MS had to be passed over, but perhaps, someday, may be re-visited in this forum.

adjensen can be a wiener dog at times with his lengthy titles!

The premise you'd ask for approval is (or to this effect): Japanese Anime beats American Anime. A mod will be along to say, "Approved".

You then create a "New thread" in this forum.

This would be the thread title:

Challenge Match: Spike Spiegle vs adjensen: Japanese Anime beats American Anime.

You make the first post, being the pro position, building your case with 5000 characters. adjensen responds.

The match last three posts, per person, USUALLY categorized as the opening, the main point, and the closing.

Voila.

Good luck on your first match, if you choose to engage.

How much time do I have to prepare?

The debate formally starts once either of us posts in the forum?

Thanks for the opportunity.

edit: right I think I understand now.

I'll approve that topic.

As for time frames, we'd like to get them don in a timely fashion, but both participants coordinate their posts and advise each other of any delays.

Mods really only facilitate topics and judging.

in other words, you have as much time as your opponent is willing to give you

As tothetenthpower notes, you have as long as you like. I'm currently getting the beat-down from Druid42 and Hefficide in two other debates, so feel free to take your time.
