Bah, Best Buy is a bad example. I worked for them, in management, for a few years in the nineties and, even then, they understood that their business
model was not sound. It was built upon the notion of selling computer packages, TV's, and appliances - all at a ( sometimes ) large loss, in hopes of
generating profit from the peripherals, cables, accessories, and media.
I'm amazed that they're still (barely) in business. Too bad too, because I used to spend a LOT of money at their now defunct "Media Play"
subsidiary. God I miss that place...
