I'm not sure if this rant was directed at me, but you accused me of name-calling. I did no such thing. Therefore you have created a straw-man to knock down here.
next.

Just ignore Wittgenstein.

Clearly, up to no good. Wasn't Clint Eastwood great?

Geraldo Rivera - Fox News Big Lib - threw a hissy fit on Fox News.

The Clint Eastwood performance was devastating.

It was entertaining and effective. - Make My Day ! -

First of all name calling does not necessarily mean an insult.* My point is that calling me a leftist etc shows a misunderstanding of civilized debate. (One attacks the argument not the person) scroll back for a better understanding of logic. All my opponents offer ( with absolutely no evidence) are statements like " Obama is a Commie". I refute those with evidence but it does no good because your position is based on emotion not logic or evidence.
If you have evidence than why not present it? Why not at least try to refute my sources? As for derailing this thread. All my posts have been in response to statements my opponents made. They have been proactively derailing the thread. I have been merely reacting to their statements.

* For example, here is the form of my opponent’s en.wikipedia.org...
1. Obama is a Democrat.
2. Obama believes in stimulus.
3. Therefore stimulus is wrong.

I said he has used a Fascist model, and bought companies, like Mussolini so eloquently stated, as to what Fascism is, his actual definition. You want facts, disprove what I posted first.

A bailout is not ownership. I am assuming you are talking about GM? I agree, however, that corporate welfare should be outlawed.

Good luck with Romney eliminating corporate welfare!

You'd think that these folks had never seen a monologue or improv... but we know better.

Clint delivered a painful and obvious @$$ whooping to POTUS and his devoted followers...

Bottom line, Clint fired the POTUS, and he did it with brilliance and humor.

So several days later and obviously their butts are still smarting.

I bet there are a lot of empty chairs in the households of these folks since they still can't sit down on their bruised backsides.

The collective whine and subsequent dogpile amuses... carry on

Which was more brilliant, the stuttering or the getting lost for what you want to say? How about the parts where he just stopped because he lost his thoughts? Brilliant brilliant stuff.
I think it is brilliant how someone got a bunch of right wingers to hop to the defense of someone from Hollywood and praise a bad job just because of who he was working for.

I'm a Libertarian. You don't know who Bill Maher is, um sure that's believable.

I only know that I see right wingers on ATS bring him and what he says up all the time but I cannot find what office he has been elected to or of what import his opinions are. This is why I asked. Now I am asking twice.

You are not believable. Bill Maher was speaking in the quote I posted from his expertise as a comedian regarding the performance given by Clint Eastwood. If you desire to know more about Bill Maher because you claim not to know who he is, I suggest using google or youtube.

Sorry, I thought that speech was genious...and it was as much of a dig...or warning to Romney and the GOP than an Obama dis.

Sorry if most of you couldn't get his message. Try watching again and don't let the senility distract you this time.

Those kooky old Libertarians!

Just so I understand this...you are using Bill Maher as a source? You agree with Mr. Maher? The thing is, if you quote him as reputable, you better prepare yourself for quite the barrage of quotes that destroy the gop and the right in general. Or is it you just agree with this one quote of his?

And his "expertise" as a comedian? He has a talk show. And most of it isn't funny.

Instead of other political issues, why doesn't someone address the real issue which is about the nuclear power being dangerous and will kill us all. Now THAT's a real issue.

Bottom Line
We wont care about jobs, mortgages, money, the car industry or terrorists if the country and world is not stopped from killing everyone by the use of dangerous old nuclear power stations.

Expertise?
Who considers him an expert in comedy?

I actually have. This guy is a bad comedian and failed actor who has a comedy show on pay cable. This is who you are sourcing?

He makes a living off of getting people to laugh. I watch him because he gets me to laugh. That is my sense of humor. As far as his expertise being called into question. HMM. I guess that is debatable. I think he would be considered an expert in the field considering that is his livelihood. I am not sure how one could be judged as an expert in such a field.

Any thoughts on how to determine expertise in such a field?

American politicians and American Political Parties have no integrity. They all should be ashamed of themselves.

Every American should be insulted.

Indeed, with the 'jokes' Romney was cracking too, from an observer outside of the US, the whole thing just looks like a charade. The staged appearances look more like stand up comedy than serious political debate.

Worrying times indeed when the presidential elect are more concerned with playing to an audience than sensible fiscal and military policy. What a world we live in........

Clint Eastwood aligning himself with Romney is crazy in itself. I'm sure if Clint Eastwood ran for Presidency he'd win hands down.

Ronald Reagan bought railroads. Was he a fascist, operating a fascist model?
