A pretty good Stewart's video regarding Romney's business practices in Italy.

Perhaps he should grab the bull by the horns and head back to Mexico. Seriously, you could set up your own Government with that kind of money. It wouldn't be any worse than what they have now?

The rich elites did set up their own government, and put themselves above the law. Sadly, that government they set up was the United States government, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Billionaires.

Given Willard had money in a Swiss bank account he did not pay taxes on that money. That is the point of having a Swiss bank account.

By placing money in a Swiss bank account he effectively was avoiding US taxes.

Any thoughts?

I'm sure Mitt Romney would be a Little bit better than Obama.

Considering Obama has:

Signed the NDAA bill into law allowing the Assassination of any us citizen without trial

By-passed Congress to Enable the DREAM act (Thanks to that, those illegal Immigrants who became legal Citizens have committed over 19 murders and over 140 sex crimes).

Allowed 30,000 Spy drones to be Flown over American skies (congress passed it, he signed it into law even though it's unconstitutional, such a good, Constitutional President)

Killed Hundreds of Innocent people (including 3 American citizens) in Yemen in Pakistan.

Sued States he was SWORN to Protect.

He Claims he Campaigned in 57 States (Sources: www.youtube.com... and latimesblogs.latimes.com...)

Said he would have more Money Printed to "fix the economy".

Romney's campaign had already released more than 500 pages of all that financial transaction information "leaked" this week -- most of it has been out there some time now, going back to 2002, in addition to the two years of tax return information. Pulitzer Prize winning reporters have published best-sellers on how all of this is perfectly legal in the U.S. tax system (see, for example, Perfectly Legal: The Covert Campaign to Rig Our Tax System to Benefit the Super Rich --and Cheat Everybody Else.) The Obama administration's Justice Department and IRS have not announced even an investigation into Mitt Romney's returns -- and they won't. Because everything described is ... perfectly legal. A former IRS commissioner who has reviewed Romney's personal returns even has gone on record saying as much. And it's a tenant of U.S. tax compliance that every taxpayer has the legal right to pay the minimal amount they owe as opposed to overpaying their taxes.

The focus of the ire should be on the U.S. tax system, and on changing it.

Nice post, but if you cared to read this thread, all (or most people) already agreed that Romney did not break tax code while filing his returns, at least not formally. Even if what he did was legal, it can be morally reprehensible, that's some people think. Yes, the tax code stinks, I agree with you. I also agree with others, who think that massive bank accounts in Switzerland and Luxembourg are at the very least suspicious and frankly unbecoming of a patriot of presidential caliber.

Newsbreak - Romney pays 14% tax recently

Thought so.

They still haven't released the returns, but they admit they were paying effective 13.6% annual tax
