Yeah, the military would still be cool. but imagine what it would do to you guys. You would all be in shock. Demoralized. In a panic. It would be my first move.

China has alot of people. They know they can lose a few. They have also never been sentimental about human life. They know you will strike back.

But a salvo that took out New York and LA would mess you guys up. Russia would take Alaska. All of your allies would surender. Your leaders would be in a position where they would look bad to continue. And after all,by neoamerican logic, dropping the bomb is actually the nice thing to do because it saves lives. Would they risk more deaths? Or do the right thing like Japan and give up?

Your lack understanding in the area of military operations and geo politics is staggering. If China managed to hit a major US city with a nuclear weapon, the retalition would be on its way before the missle even hit. And since nobody in this day and age thinks they can toss just one nuke and not expect the other side launch a full scale retaliation, the US would assume it was the begining of a full on first strike and China would be gone. And Russia invading Alaska? Outside of movies and video games that idea beyond silly.

Of course any conflict between the US and China will be the result of China moving on a US ally in the Pacific, be it the Philipines, Australia or Taiwan. If or when China ever gets a real nuclear arsenal they could use that as way to keep the US from stopping them from turning the Pacific into its expnded territory. As long as they avoid the other potential major powers in the region like Japan and South Korea the rest of the Pacific nations are to weak to do hold them back without US backing. This is why you see the Pacific states pushing the US in a full court press to increase it presence in the region and hoping the US is willling to go to the mat for them if China were to move. The fact of the matter is any potential conflicts with China will be regional and most likely only when China feels it is far more valauble to the US then the Pacific states it now protects.

You really have no clue what the hell you're talking about do you?

Compared to an all out Nuclear exchange [Which is what would happen] Fukushima, 3 mile island and Chernobyl were peanuts when compared to the amount of fallout [Never mind the instant incineration of everything topside] Including food, dwellings and almost all other needed supplies from both sides unleashing their arsenals.

There wouldn't be some outside support group coming to the rescue like there was with the previously mentioned accidents.

I hear there is some rock bottomed priced residential property within the "Zone" at Chernobyl in those irradiated towns and villages available.

Have at it if you're that convinced it's that safe

A genuine question with no ulterior motive.

What is the obsession with Russia and Russian society etc?

As far as I can see it's just as riddled with all the social injustices and inequalities that 'western' society is with a massive gulf between the have's and have not's.
The everyday Russian people seem to live a pretty austere existence made bearable by vodka and other distractions.....again, pretty much the same as 'the west'.

The few Russians I have met, not that many but a few, all seemed to be pretty serious and dour people - with one noteable exception - and I must say we in 'the west' do seem to have more fun.

I have to say Raptors and anything else that costs tens of millions of dollars just to kill people is a huge piece of crap. The investments in R&D and cost of the equipment itself reaches in the hundreds of millions.

Think of how that money could be used positively in society instead of mass murder for BS reasons.

HUGE pieces of crap.

Then you probably shouldn't be talking about it on the internet, lest your family lose any security clearance they might have.

You are entitled to your opinion. I'm not a fan of these pointless wars, but I have no problem with my country having the best military in a violent, wretched world.

Considering that many Americans are armed, some heavily, I would be interested in seeing how an invasion were to go. America can not be taken down (through violence from without) without the involvment of nukes, which is why we won't get rid of them.
The end of America will not come from outside of it.

Yep. That's why there won't be an invasion, or only a very limited one. In a China/US war China would focus on destroying the US navy and attempt to isolate North America. The most important battle is economic, the aim would be for China to take the US place as the worlds number one economy. Do that and destroy the navy, tadah you have won WW3. That's assuming no one is bat# enough to use nukes.

Chernobyl's pretty safe. Fukushima sent a 1000 tons of plutonium into the jet stream and oceans.A nuclear blast is an localized event. The fallout is a problem for days and months in event of nuclear war (nuclear bomb fallout is very clean compared to nuclear reactor fallout. Don't worry you can enjoy your illusions and Ego .The data of Fukushima proves otherwise.

As for instant incineration ,civil defence underground bunkers are there.

For some reason there seems to be an alarmingly increasing amount of people who fail to understand or recognise exactly what the full implications and ramifications for ALL of us are if a real, full scale nuclear war were to happen.

No amount of imaginary underground cities would benefit - it would truly be the end of the world as we know it.

Sure small pockets may survive, but in what sort of environment etc.

Fortunately those with the fingers on the trigger seem more than aware of this, which is why no all out WWIII will happen in the foreseeable future.

Actually its more related to occultic and astrological aspects of world elite. Many factions want a favorable outcome and so they use use astrology.2012-18 seems to be a excellent time for world war and global mass genocide.

survivability matters on dispersal and depth of the underground cities and bunkers.

Nobody can enjoy communism, whenever people try it America waltzes in and ruins it.

We've all seen what happens in South America when they try to enjoy communism, you go out of your way to crush them from inside and out.

you Americans have no self awareness of what you do to people who don't share your opinions.

you're so brainwashed you don't even know what communism is. you probably think obama is a socialist

Stored food .Food can be preserved for 3 to 5 years.Russians have several grain storage underground bunkers in magnitude of hundreds.Nowadays, hydroponics with artifical lighting are used in some private VIP bunkers of the indian govt and biotech firms campuses.I expect russians to have the same.

Russian economist who predicted 9/11 and spoke on the mystical component:

Pravda: All the participants at the hearings stated that America is a huge financial pyramid which will crash soon. Still, it is hard to understand how this could happen in the first and richest country of the world – without a war, without missile or bomb strikes? Koryagina: Besides bombs and missiles, there are other kinds of weaponry, much more destructive ones. ... Pravda: Well, economic theory. But how it is possible for you to give an exact date [for the U.S. crash] – August 19? Koryagina: The U.S. is engaged in a mortal economic game. The known history of civilization is merely the visible part of the iceberg. There is a shadow economy, shadow politics and also a shadow history, known to conspirologists. There are [unseen] forces acting in the world, unstoppable for [most powerful] countries and even continents. Pravda: Just these forces intend to smash America on August 19? Koryagina: There are international "super-state" and "super-government" groups. In accordance with tradition, the mystical and religious components play extremely important roles in human history. One must take into account the shadow economy, shadow politics and the religious component, while predicting the development of the present financial situation. Pravda: Still, I don't understand what could be done to this giant country [the U.S.], whose budget is calculated in the trillions of dollars.

Dude seriously?

You're quoting "Pravda"

The official Communist propaganda mouthpiece as a creditable source? That's almost as bad as quoting FOX, CNN or PressTV

If Pravda was so good at predicting things then why is it they didn't foresee the Soviet Union/Eastern Europe collapse or their horrible defeat in Afghanistan?
