This is a local story, this is not national news. If we had a national news story for every murder in our country...that is all the news we would have.

The fact is that this was a tragedy, a man was killed, BUT...the people responsible for his death have been caught, arrested and have been charged with murder and other crimes.

It's people like the OP who are further pushing racial divide because they are focusing on race instead of justice.

Apparently white people need to start carrying around guns to defend themselves with against the racist black hate crimes.

Ok look.. I know half of you are asking why it is being turned into a race issue. Well exactly.. as yourself that question. Most people I believe would be fine with the news just being reported.. Why do they have to say a white male or a black male? Because people want to know and by in large the vast majority of the minority races assume that any crime committed against them by a white male was racially motivated. What cant a white guy just commit a crime? Whites have criminals too, just like everyone else. The problem is you have people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who dont get paid unless they are out stirring things up and making things racial issues. Without people like them it would die down and people would start to just let crime be crime. As it is people are so afraid that Jesse or Al are going to swoop in and make them out to be hate mongers because they didnt start out saying it was a racially motivated crime. Look at the Trayvon thing and how it was handled. Its a total mess. Why couldn't that just have been a crime? Because that doesn't sell air time, or news papers. But if someone reported this as a hate crime their whole news studio would be fire bombed tonight. It would be a nightmare for them. The double standard in this country is ridiculous and I do not believe that whites are all that racist any more but if people dont look for racism then Al and Jesse have nothing to do and they stop getting paid. I just think it is ridiculous what we allow our media to get away with. And what we allow our fellow citizens to get away with. It would take one single generation to completely do away with racism and people looking for it where it might not be. But it involves raising children correctly and that is something we obviously have a problem with in this country.

This murder does not seem to be racially motivated, rather an argument that got out of hand between guys who were at the same party. The trayvon martin murder was clearly a case of racial profiling by zimmerman. So your thread is totally misleading, inaccurate and inflammatory....

Zimmerman didn't even know Treyvon was black!

and its not even the issue here... The issue here is that an American hero got killed at HOME, and there's a blind bias by the SAME media who said the Treyvon case was a hate crime and a race issue

It was local news...for over a month...and then when there was still no arrest made in the shooting death of an unarmed teenager...it became national news.

In this case the OP is talking about...4 men have been arrested and charged with murder.
