i'm holding back a great deal of harsh and very unattractive critcism about some of his financial and non-financial choices, out of respect for the people he has associated himself with, religiously. the president of the mormon churuch should demand he behave and stop destroying people's lives, or risk losing his temple recommend.

you don't want to get me started on this subject. let's just suffice it to say that mormonism has their own "fair game" doctrine.

actually, my reference to them as slaves have no relevance to my feelings for capitalism......which isn't the word I would use to describe the current economic system....it's more like facism...
ford was a capitalist.....who happen to realize that in order to sell the cars you make, it might be wise to pay the employees enough so that they could afford the cars!!! now days, they expect the gov't to come up with neat gimmicks like cash for clunkers, as well as the age old welfare system to give the people the money to buy their goodies....

so, you don't find cashiers useful??
how about punch press operators who are cutting the gaskets for the planes that are flying over you house??
the little pizza man that delivers you pizza isn't useful?? not even on a stormy night??
screen printers, file clerks.

quite frankly, if these employers didn't find these people useful......
they wouldn't hire them!!!!
if society didn't find them useful....
the job wouldn't exist!!!
and quite frankly....
there's people who have who have no job, no ability to hold any job, that are living a more decent lifestyle then some of the working folks!!!!
which to me means that everyone working in this country deserves a decent lifestyle!!!

so, well, we can correct this problem...
make the world fit into your idealism...
let's just cut all the welfare out!!!
there, now, we have a world where the only people who have a decent lifestyle are those that the business sector "find useful"...they are the only ones who are deserving of a full tummy, the only ones deserving a roof over their head, a warm house. okay....
but wait a minute....
those punch press operators, those cashiers, those file clerks, those machinists, pizza delivery guys, they're not showing up at work anymore.....probably because homeless, freezing, starving people don't make for good employees, if they are even making it as living persons...
ooops!!! guess all those businesses who were depending on those punch press operators, those cashiers, those file clerks, those machinists, pizza delivery guys and other low wage earners now have a major problem!!!!

in plain simple words....
those corps wouldn't be having such great profits if it wasn't for the fact the the gov't is pitching in and helping their employees with their rent, their electricity, their grocery bill, and their medical expenses!!!

so well, don 't give me the crap that all those low paid employees should go out and get trained...
our economy would be crap if they did!!!
and the more wealthy would be alot less wealthy!!!

To the self-proclaimed libertarians on this site: How can you call Mitt Romney a "vulture capitalist" when you claim to be for the free market? The same free market he used to benefit from like any successful businessman? How can you fault him or other corporations that do not display social responsibility?

Do you realize the whole notion of "social responsibility" is communistic? Why not we make you socially responsible for your less fortunate fellow man and lets take your money to pay for their entitlements? See what I did there? So, how can you expect a corporation to place the feelings of its employees before maximizing profits for its shareholders? Are you guys really just commies masking yourselves as "free-market" champions?

Oh, what a smart man! YOU are the only one that put "vulture capitalist" in that thread, yet you cant stop saying everyone here is using that term.

You need to do your homework and re-read the thread from the beginning to see how smart you are.

You enlighten my day by being such a smartass among the dumb people from earth. We need more of your type in that world.

Can you clone yourself so you can go vote 1 billion time for Romney and the govt wont have to rig the elections please?

Peace out.

Taxes should only go to being paid for defense and the military, nothing else. Once again, another thing Ron Paul would agree with me.

I'm assuming you're a Ron Paul supporter. How can you support such a socialistic and leftist notion such as "social responsibility" and yet support Ron Paul? It's like a die-hard conservative who is for small government supporting Stalin.

You can't stop to amaze me man. Taxes only for defense? Yeah right.

Who needs streets, highways, water, public transportations, firemen, ect..

I guess only the weak needs that stuff. The uber cool kids like you just need big guns.

Peace out.

Just another Mitt Romney hater who attacks him benefiting from the free market. The business world is a dog-eat-dog world and is cruel. Corporations don't have feelings, and if they are weak and a smart businessman (Mitt Romney) buys them out and has to make some tough decisions that is normally perceived as unethical by the left, then so be it.

I am beginning to think those who attack Romney's business style and call him a "vulture capitalist" are really just liberals who mask themselves as conservatives.

Also, there is nothing wrong with having donations from large corporations in the business world. Romney made some strong business contacts and those donations are a result of his hard work and ingenuity in the private sector.

If you remove minimum wage why will people get paid more? Don't you realise the point was to set a minimum?

The federal Government has no business setting a minimum wage at the Federal level of Government.

Stop and consider this for a moment....

Let us suppose you live in Arkansas. Well the cost of living varies from place to place. It cost much more to live in L.A. or anywhere in California than it does to live in Arkansas. So who is best suited to determine the "minimum wage" for you? Some suit in Washington DC who is a Representative from Oklahoma, or would it be best left to your home State of Arkansas and the Officials elected at the State level?

Making the claim that you (as a politician) want to get rid of the Federal Minimum Wage does not mean there will be no minimum wage at all. It means to remove the minimum at the Federal Level of Government. Obviously a minimum wage is needed. No one doubts that employers would pay in peanuts if they were allowed to and it helped their bottom line, but it does not belong at the Federal level of Government. Each State is different and these "one size fits all" policies are toxic.

I don't like any of the candidates I have very little hope that anything will change. Mitt Romney does not have my vote. I don't trust him and I don't like him I think if he gets in office he will only make corporations richer while further eliminating the middle-class.

The political theater is in a sad state. Ron Paul is the only one I would consider voting for but there are things about him and his views on the Middle East that I do not like. The reality of the situation is Mitt Romney will probably be the Republican candidate. He is bought and paid for by corporations so if he does become president it will be just more of the same, maybe even worse.

Keep 'em all in the cage. They'll tear each other to bits.
Millions spent on character assassination ads.
Debates brought down to 'he said/she said" type exchanges.
Lies, lies, lies.
Keep 'em all in the cage.
Eventually, they will tear themselves apart.

Corporations are people. Unless, of course, you need to hold someone accountable for anything.

have you ever lived in a state that has real generous welfare that is close to one that isn't nearly as generous?
the lax state gets inaudated with welfare seeking immigrants!!!

I understand the desire for "state's rights" but well, a little cohesion is need to hold those states together....

and well, got to point out one little tidbit here....
it's the states that supposedly rules over real estate transactions.
how many of those proclaiming states rights reallly want the fed to step in and hurried the foreclosure process and make the nightmare go away???

I was speaking about minimum wage. What that has to do with Welfare and foreclosures..I don't know. I must say that I do find your "welfare seeking immigrants" comment to be completely rude. Are you suggesting that every immigrant wants welfare?

Let me fill you in on some facts. My Mother is an immigrant. She lives in the US (legally). My Mother, by herself, raised 2 boys. My Mother (by herself) worked night and day to do it. My Mother (by herself) will very proudly tell anyone who listens that she accomplished this without ever having to sell herself, her body, remove her clothing, or sell out her principles and what she believes in. My Mother, while raising two boys on her own with no child support, no help from her family (as they were in another country), and no help from anyone at all made miracles happen with very little money and not once did she ever take a hand out from welfare.

So what were saying about "Welfare seeking immigrants" again?

actually, maybe immigrant wasn't the proper word, I was speaking of those in the neighboring states who aren't as generous crossing the state line....
which, I know for a fact, pennsyvania was one of the spots they immigrated to...

sorry about that.

and, well, it doesn't matter if you are talking about minumum wage, or welfare benefits, abortion, or whatever..
if there isn't a certain amount of consistancy between the states, that is what you will get...
people and businesses migrating to states with friendlier policies...

which is one of the reasons we have the rust belt in the northeast.....the business have packed up and moved to friendier climates, be it another state, or another country.....

After an election the headlines in the newspapers declare DEMOCRATS WIN or they declare REPUBLICANS WIN. Never, never, never will you see a newspaper headline after an election that declares AMERICANS WIN. There is a good reason for that. Democrats and Republicans love power and money more than they love America.

Yes, it is. Any truly logical conservative thinker (there are many of them as indicated by the polls) would see that one is not obligated to the citizens if they are not in office. Mitt Romney is currently annihilating Ron Paul in the polls, so I wonder if many people agree with you?

Originally posted by SmArTbEaTzand this is one of the main things wrong with corporations. They have no social responsibility and as long as the shareholders are profiting... who gives a crap about the employees. Even if the conditions are unsafe and equipment is faulty...

This is the typical rank spewed by the leftists and communists. If you think corporations should place social responsibility above profits, why don't you start your own business and see how far that gets you? It seems the only people who understand this are those either in business oriented families (myself, for example) or have owned successful businesses.

Originally posted by SmArTbEaTzNow you have to be a sociopath to be the best? Figures... who would want a job that is nothing more than a puppet anyways... Oh yeah... a sociopath!

This is just more evidence that you have little clue of how the business world works.

Originally posted by SmArTbEaTzSO in order to run a successful business you have to be a sociopath, throw out ethics, have no social responsibility, be cold hearted, greedy, capitalist, and know how to manipulate and take advantage of the government and it's people.

Is there a problem with being greedy, capitalistic, cold hearted? There is a reason why the most successful people on wall street are the most ruthless and cutthroat. Businesses have no moral obligation or social responsibility to the people, how can you not understand such a simple concept? Oh, and are you a commie? It seems you have a problem with people who are capitalists.

LOL your a joke...

Yes several people agree with me and that's why Dr. Ron Paul even has one vote... Duh...

BTW I am in school for business (2nd year) so yes I know about businesses. That doesn't mean I would sellout my neighbor to make a extra buck. Only sociopaths like you and Robme think like that. Maybe that means I'm not great at business, but at least I will be able to go home to my family every night on time, and not have another hidden life of ruining people's lives in the name of profit.

I'm glad that you were raised in a cold-hearted ruthless family. It's just gives me more of a reason not to listen to your comments because I now know why your like this. You see... I come from a loving family that prides themselves on moral value (mom is a paramedic/ER Nurse/EMT/college professor/volunteer fire person & dad is a physical therapist/artist), something your family obviously did not, and when it comes down to it our % out weights yours... the only difference is your % is running the country... and we see how that has played out...

PS. Thanks for explaining how you were brainwashed... and here I thought you came up with these ideals on your own. I apologize.

but what do I know...
