Read (probably from a reliable source) that the outer planets have a wobble that is not explained by known bodies and was the original motivation to look for an additional planet out there.

You read old material. The perturbations were due to an incorrect value for the mass of Neptune which was corrected during the Voyager flyby in 1987. With the corrected mass, about 0.5%, the perturbations well away. This also shows that there is no planet sized mass within 70AU.

The blue one is from the Chinese video. It's in that thread that I keep posting obnoxiously. The sun is clearly visible in it, so just because you crop the pic and say you SEE NO SUN doesn't mean it wasn't there. While neither mute nor moot, it is still LENS FLARE.

As for the red one, I will admit that I haven't a clue. So you got me there.

Look, you're trying here and I appreciate that. But here's the rub:

The blue one comes from a Chinese broadcast of their space launch and orbit back in November. We have a source. We have a video taken from a camera in space, and the sun is very clear.

But you have no clue as to the source of the red one. You've got a picture taken from a Youtube video. You can't attest to the legitimacy of it anymore than I can. Provide the source footage or link to where the pic originated; otherwise, it might as well be a 20-sided die from your older brother's Dungeons & Dragons kit.

I don\'t think that it's right to discuss it without looking at the picture as a whole so here it is.



The sun is indeed there and in actual fact there is a direct line from the sun to the flare. There are also more specs towards the bottom half of the picture on top of the view of Earth that look exactly like the specs that you are insisting are orbiting bodies. So, that says that the dust theory is the most likely correct.

Can we put this to bed now?

I will say those little dust particle specs are lens flares.

The blue is not.

We've had the ISS in Earth's orbit for over ten years, we have the SOHO satellite observing the Sun, there were many shuttle missions and Russian missions to and from the ISS, The Chinese filmed their unmanned rendezvous with orbiting components that caught the sun in many frames, and the ESA doing constant research. And as stated many times before we have an untold number of amateur and professional astronomers observing the sky.

But we are to throw all of that out because of a Youtube video and an uneducated space enthusiast that whispers a tale of doom from a video.

Japan's JAXA space agency had the solar observation satellite Hinode (sloar-B) its 3rd solar satellite launched in 2006.

There's also ground based telescopes dedicated to solar observing just to name a few ways science is monitoring the sun. But Youtube is such a better scientific tool that human eyes and scientific space satellite technology is junk science , I suppose, according to this thread.

Of course, it is heading to earth, but not exactly straight. It is orbiting the Sun with an angular velocity exactly the same as the earth, but the distance from the Sun is increasing ever so slowly. That is why the spot is looking bigger than it did two years ago. But its speed away from the Sun will gain and on Dec 22, 2012 its will cover the whole of the Sun, as seen from earth resulting in darkness during what should have been day. After 3 days of such darkness beings from the crafts will land, segregate the humans, load those selected for being saved into their crafts, leave the rest behind and go off into the 5th dimension to another planet. The gravity of Niburu will cause huge earthquakes and it will be the end of the world here when the earth is finally torn to bits by its gravity.

I also noticed another thread that says this is actually the year 2000 since the birth of Christ and not 2012 and a biblical prophesy says the world will not go beyond the year 2000. But of course!

Now, did I miss or seriously contradict any end of the world prophesy?

The bad thing about this is that if/when something is really happening, nobody will believe it cause too many people have cried wolf too many thousand times.

Camera's do weird things sometimes.

I'm not saying you cant catch a strange object in space, i'm just saying these anomalies are always most likely created by the camera/telescope.

I love watching videos of that Sun though, very cool!

Well this is my you shouldn't point a digital camera/video camera at the sun.

Also, with digital or video cameras that use electronic sensors, the direct sun can sometimes cause "blooming" problems where the sensor is overloaded and it won't record properly afterward. In newer cameras, this is only temporary. However, in some older cameras, it can cause permanent damage.

Thats why you see all the youtube videos with black dots over the sun.
