People obviously are not thinking this through or else they have no clue about how things work.

Example: I have my $100 million wealth cap in place but I spend $1 million a year and make $10 million a year. I must give $9 million a year to charity(which I promptly do and write this off my taxes as a charitable donation) The Government must supplement this loss of revenue by raising the taxes of the poor.

I have less money than before, the poor have less money than before and the government has the same amount of money(tax revenue). In order to further the growth of their police state.

The US Constitution guarantees life,liberty and property to the people once You allow the Government to take any one of these (by popular vote) then You are affectively abolishing the Constitution and they WILL take the others given time.

As to the OP: I think the solution is not a wealth cap. The solution is an entirely new way of being. We need a resource based economy, not one based in fiat currency.

AS AN AMERICAN...if anyone/anything messes with my wealth, business, personal belongings or wealth potential believe me a tantrum will be an understatement. I could post videos too of what it will look like but I leave my weapons arsenal alone until I truly need to break out the heavy artillery. BTW...that is a very ugly child...just being honest...you posted it, I did not.

You seem to be operating between two parameters. 1) That because things are transitory that they are not true at any point in time, and 2) That broad theoretical ideas should somehow be brought down into practical reality.

Personal property exists because we say it does. Fight for a system without it, obtain it, and soon enough it will regenerate itself right back in again. As for theory, I don't specifically disagree in a personal and theoretical sense, but it does seem like a grand departure from both the practical points and the discussion.

Don't think that I say this from a position like what you feel from the poster you responded to, since I have personally backed off quite a bit from the illusion of civil society, safety, and sophistication we humans like to pretend we exist under in addition to material status as I've aged.

Perhaps we agree and are discussing two different points. I have, however, always found you interesting.

We have way too many unfunded liabilities and entitlement programs, freebies for people who come here to take what they can, and insane pork barrel spending and programs that help foreign countries not us, so it's time to reign in that spending, then we wouldn't have to borrow so much from the Fed, but they like that borrowing because it keeps them raking in the interest on all that borrowing.

Govt spending is out of control.

But Soros and the Rothschilds do need reining in somehow. Soros is an insane manipulator of world currencies and should reside in jail.

This guy is certifiable by the very definition in any state. I have DONE more charitable WORKS than I have given charitable "blessings" my ENTIRE LIFE. I have news for you. Defense is the one thing authorized by the Constitution. All these entitlements, welfare, public education, and pork barrel spending are not authorized by the Constitution explicitly. We have way too much Statism and bloated govt spending. This admin just increased it more, especially with the health care etc. By the way, we have already learned that when the govt has unlimited spending, contractors have been known to charge more because they can, so why would we want to do that with health care and insurance? Socialism is an insanely stupid system and it doesn't work.

However, what you are doing is exactly what I stated earlier in this thread should be done. You willingly set out to use your wealth/organization to help those in need. A very noble thing to do. I once wondered why more people do not simply give, after of course, setting their own house in order. I came to the conclusion that in any societal model the one factor that causes every single one to ultimately fail is greed. Capitalism or Communism, greed is their downfall. When more people behave like you and choose to deny their greed and share with those around them their excesses our world will move into a better state.

Many elder members of my father's side of the family were Masons. (All are deceased now) I never got into it, though years ago I had the opportunity.
