I guess is what I am saying is...Cain (if the allegations are accurate) likely succeeded a few times. Those women are out there, but their story is slightly more embarrassing...they slept with him. Not sure if they will come forward.

Here is where I am lost. Not many of you on ATS are so loyally defending Cain but the few of you that are share some odd overlap. I see many of you are the same people that spent a great deal of time complaining that our current president was not looked into enough, not vetted properly, not thoroughly investigated, and not well known enough. I guess that is all just team sports then?

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain’s wife says her husband would have to have a “split personality” if he sexually harassed women the way that recent allegations claim.

i dont understand what is so hard to grasp. an innocent man does not pay off people who are accusing them of wrong doing. it just doesnt happen.
but a guilty man will pay off people to keep up their act of innocence and to keep the truth from surfacing.
PERIOD. there is no other explanation or stupid excuse, it is what it is!

Cain did not make the payments. The company did. Sexual harassment is something that is between an employee and the COMPANY they work for. If someone accuses a person of sexual harassment, the COMPANY is liable, not the alleged offender. Cain didn't pay these women off. The NRA did. Cain didn't even have to sign anything.

Then why didn't the NRA challenge the accusations if they were untrue?

I disagree, IF he has done these things, and/or has shown a habitual behavior there is no way I would ever vote for him. As for Obama, being a relatively young nobody with little experience who was vaulted to the role of presidency mainly due to the color of his skin bothered me more than his socialism ideals.
As for Cain, I see many of you have tried and convicted him already based on what?
We have two woman who one of them says it was of little consequences and the other has basically accused him of sexual assault 14 years to late. This woman has had a somewhat checker past that makes it not too far of a stretch for her to do this for money or 15 minutes of fame. The rest of all this is still smoke and mirrors with the press pushing hard, dying to get more.
Is there more? Maybe. Could this all be blown out of proportion by the press and one woman with a habitual history of these types of accusations? Maybe too, but now I see posts of people starting to blame the RNC if no further evidence comes forward since he is already convicted in your eyes.
As of right now I think Allred has created a perfect accusation, for if her client just said "he put his hand on my leg and tried to kiss me" we all would have said "so what" and yawned. So she said "he grabbed me in the crotch and tried to force my head to his, but when I said NO he stopped and took me back to my hotel room". This paints the perfect picture of disgust for the man while adding in the "NO" to not push it too far that might open the door for official criminal charges that would most likely not go well for her client and open the door for reprisal suing from Cain.
I think he is done no matter what further comes out or not...
Job well done Allred....

Who in your opinion has been probed beyond insanity?
All politicians, judges, and high ranking law officials should go through the same as who your answer would be.
No favorites
So sit down, shut up, and allow this to go on until the conclusion. If he has nothing to hide, then you have nothing to defend him for.
I guess that all depends on what you mean by probed but I can tell you that in front of my I do not have either available version of Cain's birth certificate nor do I have millions of pleas for him to release his medical and school records. So take that for what that is worth.

Nice of old boyfriend to man up now! Let me say, had this been my boyfriend or husband and I explained what had taken place earlier that evening, he would either be paying the culprit a visit, or we would have headed straight for the police station and reported that I had been sexually assaulted.
Any thinking person can see this is all about show boating. She supposedly said "Mr. Cain, you know I have a boyfriend". Like if she didn't then it would be alright? Ladies I ask you, if some man had touched your crotch and then forced your head towards his lap, would this be your response? It sure wouldn't have been mine I would have swung first and asked questions later!
The whole story wreaks of BS!!
A Bloomberg News poll shows Cain at 20 percent, Paul at 19 percent, Romney at 18 percent and Gingrich at 17 percent among the likely attendees with the caucuses that start the nominating contests seven weeks away.

"He also grabbed my head and brought it towards his crotch," Bialek told reporters last week. "I was very, very surprised and very shocked.
I said, what are you doing?
You know I have a boyfriend.
This isn't what I came here for.
Mr. Cain said, 'You want a job, right?' I asked him to stop, and he did."
