I had a friend in high school and we never dated and much as sex at least once a week. She moved near DC to become a nanny and that translates to sex toy. She worked the trade 15 years and retired and lives a good life on the money she made.

No, but you think there is nothing wrong with those women? I mean you would say that a healthy, active, accomplished individual would at any point in their life need to pursue prostitution for no good reason? If you want to argue that prostitution led to sex trafficking, you will have a difficult time since there is illegal activity and corruption present in almost every legitimate job. Adoption for example. Should adoption be made illegal completely because some people now steal children and sell them? How about organ stealers. Should transplants be banned simply because now there are people selling organs on the black market? The list goes on and on.

those are meaningless comparisons, like comparing apples to oranges.

I think prostitution should be legal. I believe in liberty, but that doesnt mean that we should condone personal behavior that is not beneficial to ones self.

Quite a few seem to see a woman merely going out on a date as prostituting herself for the meal. Wives
are prositituting themselves for the house.Women are prositituting themselves to go to a movie. Are there
any women in your views that are not prostitutes. There is a real deep level of contempt for women in this
thread. God forbid that anyone has a problem with it, then they are imposing their view on others. The OVER

viewpoint. The only thing off limits is children but they are becoming over sexualized as well. Soon, and the
time is coming when people will be screaming for the rights of children to be in sexual relationships with

I think you might be blowing it out of proportion. I have greater respect for women than I do for men. I think they should be ruling the world. I'm in awe of them. But that being said, both women and men find promiscuous sex enjoyable and I have greater respect for a woman who is intelectual enough to think past the beliefs about puritanical sex that we have been indoctrinated into in this society.

As for "normal" loving relationships, I would like nothing more than to be spending my time in a healthy, permant relationship catering to my soul mate, and when that happens I'll let you know but judging from past experience don't hold your breath. My life is not a Disney movie. I'm sure many men's lives are not. So I can understand their situation when they so desire to be in physical contact with these goddess like beautiful and powerful, yet unreachable beings that they are willing to pay for it no matter how superficial the experience may be. And obviously the women who are willing to provide that experiance understand too.

I think i like the scientific terminology better. Stimulation to the brain caused by physiological/chemical reaction that causes a euphoric impluse in the brain. Just skip the mysticism. Theres nothing spiritual about getting horny. The people that want to pay for sex are just horny and they wanna f***. Ofcourse that whole deal has the stink of desperation on it. How's this for an example of the good a protitute can do- Howard Stern had a prostitute or porn actress, whatever, have sex with a guy who was repulsive and had never been with a woman. The guy was so ecstatic you could "hear" the smile on his face. The prostitute also seemed like she loved the fact that she could bring so much joy into his life.

Yes, the argument could be made in my example that Stern was exploiting them for ratings, but at the human level they both seemed to be having a good time without harming anybody. Why is that bad?

That's a factor of social conditioning.

If prostitution was always legal, it probably would not be viewed in such a poor light now. The women that were chosen to "entertain" powerful kings, princes, etc., were considered above peasants and better quality women. Not on the same level as wives, but not on the bottom of social hierarchy. These women often received housing, food, etc., for their services...they were prostitutes in other words.

i discussed this with my wife this past weekend.

In the "old days" porn and prostitution was something that had women being exploited. Nowadays, however, women can find that entrepreneurial spirit by setting up their own business online.

So you can't say that someone who is making extra colleg emoney on the side is being exploited when they are the ones who are driving their own business.

If a woman making her own decision exploitative, then it is also stating that women are incapable of thinking for themselves. And that is the worst kind of tyranny.
