Why don't you just come out and say it that you like it missionary.

aren't you tired of making false, unfounded, ridiculous assumptions yet?
either way, IF only you knew ... but, that's an adult and a personal conversation ... sorry, but you would have to leave the room

47 pages and still have yet to see a pic of a Servicemember, much less a formation, "Protecting" the citizens.

They must be in stealth mode.

One of the hugest problems as I see it is sooooo many of the protestors envisioning the Marines stampeding to their cause, when the reality is they are going to get Union organizers.....

Some will follow blindly but some will say, WTF? This is NOT what *we* are about!

Time will tell, but from the sounds of it the answer would be, it is about to be, yes.

Unions and political organizers.. They have leadership now, and permits too!

The void of leadership, was always the main vulnerability to this "movement"

At least they can be better controlled now.

Less risk of violence.... It's a good thing.

I think the contrary is more likely. Look at the acts of violence by SEIU and other Unions in the past couple yrs.... I think the risk for violence will go up, not down with Union involvement

Not in this case... It is assured to eventually bring all of this to a peaceful end.

Focus and leadership = sustainable control.

I tend to agree with Cinead on this one.

Unions have become the beast they once fought against and will end up resorting to the same tactics of intimidation.

We've already seen it at other rallies.

With Union leadership, chances are it's going to get worse.

With luck though, maybe someone will be reading these posts and saying...

"Look, Boss. They think that we will be violent."

"Well kid, let's not give them that then, let's kill 'em with kindness....That'll get their goat."

I don't see that happening, but a guy can dream can't he?

As a combat veteran was your war fought on pure logic? Was it not drilled into you to reach for raw emotion in order to complete missions? What combat have you seen? Do you go back to Vietnam?

Nope, I'm an OIF and OEF veteran. And no - we don't reach for "raw emotion". We train, and we train hard. And yes, fighting in combat is more logic than emotion. Before you even leave the gate, you've done 2-3 hours of prep that day. You systematically check your weapons, your equipment, your vehicles, and your "buddies" - because there's no way in hell you want to put yourself in harm's way if you haven't logically and systematically eliminated any possible thing that might trip you up. Training is also methodical and logical - because you absolutely MUST be able to draw from your training once things start blowing up. You logically and methodically train yourself to encounter fear, panic, anger, sadness - you name it - so that when things start blowing up you can push them aside and do your job.

In order to complete missions, you must methodically and logically PLAN those missions. Who is the enemy? Where was he yesterday and what did he do? What route am I going to take? What are my ROE? What's the weather going to be like? What do I need to take with me? Who am I taking with me? And on, and on, and on. If your only "combat exposure" comes from Hollywood, then I can see where you might think "raw emotion" is what we draw from. That statement is VERY far from the truth.

That's the difference between a professional fighting force and a bunch of terrorists.

Sustainable control? Leadership confers power, the precursor for corruption.

In your original post, you mentioned that the new leaders have obtained 'permits'? So this new leadership has now achieved consent of the puppets to protest the puppet masters?

I'm glad the unions and politicos have come out to play but I have a huge problem with any collective that clings to old ways of doing things, compliant or otherwise.

Your comment about the Unions becoming the beast is so true! My dad was a staunch union guy until the toward the end of his life (70-80s) At that point he was complaining of the way the Unions were going and was ticked because our family was active in the heart of the Union riots in Ohio back in the day...

If he were alive today I can tell you what he'd say. He'd say it's time to go get the bat and beat the ### out of the other side this time......

Very sad, what the Unions have become

actually, i've seen a couple of photos along the way but others have pointed out that they were not wearing "official" rank insignia ... and since i can't see what is there, i can't be sure if they are x-military or imposters.
since everyone can get camos at their local army/navy surplus store, i have my doubts.

Simple answer. Sometimes you can't reason with crazy. And identifying a threat fast and dealing with it is a skill some very smart people possess.

ETA: apologies for going off topic.

You've reached the ripe old age where you forget to snag breakfast... Drink some Gatorade for electrolytes. Something ain't firing right. By your own statement: Radical Socialist.

Post

You paint broad strokes of a dead man first off. Secondly, you're labeling based off rival input now that you'd have us believe your views are to be held entirely separate. You continue to take poetry published under the 'International Socialist Review' as further proof of the man's motives in life.

Source

Phillip Yannella
Niven
Van Wienen

How is your source any different from JP Morgan trash talking Nikola Tesla? You must realize opinions are as numerous as aholes, so again... Let's put things in proper context.

A good portion of my writing is found on Above Top Secret. Your opinion of ATS? I'm sure there's a few labels to choose from. Focus and you'll draw from the inference.

The poem I refer to speaks volumes of God. Upon closer inspection you'll find Universal Principles embedded. His choice of words are both subtle and exacting.

And this...

Social media sites and video games weren't prevalent in the early 1900's.

You wasted an entire paragraph on blatant sarcasm then challenged my intellect inside the joke you didn't catch. Further proof you don't have your wits about you. I have to stop and ask... What is your malfunction?

Light in the pants evolved into... No balls. Even with your limited perception the parallel shouldn't go unnoticed.

Relevant indeed... My brother lives in the heart of downtown. He gets jumped by redneck homophobes in a Dodge Durango while waiting for a cab. He's straight as an arrow, but that doesn't stop these guys from mouthing off gay slurs, pealing out up the street, and then busting a U... 3 on 1 odds you say? Everyone's had a little something to drink that night. Size up the situation. Smart move on his part: Don't do a damn thing until one of them is close enough to smash their jaw, turn, and run. He knocked an mf on the pavement, kept his body intact, nothing was stolen, no police involved... He gets home safely to fight another day.

He's a senior programmer and developer. I'm almost positive he'd run circles around a few people in here.

Again, I was being facetious... I was also hoping the photo of Betty White might narrow it down for you. I don't require a personal conversation. I'm no where near a rotary phone anyhow.

Without comment either pro or con on the nature of the protest I simply comment that if servicemen do indeed appear in uniform they open themselves up to some pretty big problems with the service. The US Army (and all other services) highly regulate the wearing of the uniform. In the case of the US Army AR 670-1 governs this and states in part:

My experience is that this would be handled quickly by military police particularly with the advance warning that has now been given.

good looking out! they should be warned and i would suggest t shirts that say in large writing who they are. we need the men and women not the dress uniforms.

also they should be thanked and cheered this is great news!

The only photo I saw were of IVAW guys at a rally earlier in the year. (Though I didn't see that one on this thread)

And was it passed off as current, until other posters caught it and posted proof otherwise.
