There are those songs that make us pound the steering wheel in the car or play air guitar, or real guitar. This isn't about what is concsidered the best, but what you like the best. But if you want to debate the greatest guitar riffs or solos of all time, be my guest.

I tend to like the simpler bluesy stuff.

and of course

Master of Puppets. But I wont post a vid in case they send lawyers after me.

That's a hard list to compile. Not being able to spend all day thinking about the list, I'll throw a few off the top of my head. Elvin Bishop's Fooled around and fell in love. Bachman, Turner, Overdrives Takin care of business. Blue Oyster Cult's Godzilla. Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird. Peter Frampton's Do you feel like we do?. Jimi Hendrix's cover of Along the watchtower. Anything David Gilmore did with Pink Floyd. Jane's Addiction, Coming down the mountain. The Dead with The Band, Sylvia Tyson and others covering CC Rider during the Festival Express tour. That's only scratching the surface...

I'm really aging myself here I guess (but not the first time), but these two are probably my all-time favs:

James Burton - String Along

John Weider - Tobacco Road

I have noticed a lot of people here stick with old school. Interesting.

Other notables:

Enter Sandman by Metallica.
Nirvana: smells like teen spirit and heart shaped box. There are a lot more by Nirvana.

And another one I forgot.
