The pot maker never bitches or blames. The pot maker loves all his pots.

and what crazy potmaker book did you get this idea from?.. you must have a different bible than I have read????

Honestly...can you actually expect anyone who has read the bible in its entirety to believe that?

Lighten up. Quit trying to find places to put blame. It doesn't even work like that. You are freer than you think.

I don't think hes trying to find places to blame..I think he is just being honest about his feelings and views..

Something which many christians try and stifle..

and I disagree ..we are not as free as you say we are..we are dependent on so many basic things to be able to just survive.... yet society has set things up so that is become increasingly difficult for some, and impossible for others.

So tell me..how does a "free" woman in somalia get food for her children?.... when there is drought that makes it impossible for her to grow food?, when she has no land to grow food? and the powers that be... that have the food require sexual favors for it?

What would you suggest to this "free' woman?

Thank you.
Always nice when the gist of an O P is understood.

If God the pot maker makes a pot with a hole in it, then bitches when it leaks, only an ass of a pot maker will blame the pot.
Oops, who is the pot to question the pot maker.

DL

But if your entire pretext for argument is misguided human misunderstanding this refutes the analysis.

The pot maker never bitches or blames. The pot maker loves all his pots.

All his pots eh.

13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

I have pegged you for a fool so do not expect me to correct all your idiocies.

. . .I know I can find as many passages to describe death as new life and everlasting glory.
You did go ahead and quote some red letter verses and I read those.
Death in my opinion is not a good thing and Revelation says in an indirect way that it is by including it in a list of things to be done away with as a prerequisite to the renewed lifestyle which is basically Eden restored.
Most, or all, of your verses indicate something happening in a given situation to certain individuals under specified parameters, so it seems to not be universal, the receiving of these good things.
One verse you quoted gets into the death aspect, Mark 12: 25. The first part of it says (in a transliteration from the Greek), otan gar ek nekrōn anastōsin. A literal translation could be, when for from dead they rise. Ek, here could mean, out from among, considering the context. The verb for, they rise is in the subjunctive mood which means you could translate the beginning of this verse as, Therefore, if these people were to rise from among the dead, then when this happens, they will neither be given into marriage. . .

The point I was originally trying to make, yesterday, was that you don't want to remain among the dead because that is not a good thing.

I don't know what to believe anymore when it comes to God, and sometimes it is just my feelings that take over.

You have no idea how much I want there to be some deity that is full of love..waiting for us..on the other side.... but at the same time..if there is.. I am frustrated with that loving deity for not helping out more.

Newcovenant..have you ever told a child to pray to Jesus for help..a child who was most likely being abused, and mistreated..?

Did you ever feel responsible for that child's feeling that Jesus did not love him ....and therefore didn't help.. or that his faith in Jesus will be nulled and voided, because his prayers were not answered?

Yes..I have gotten angry with Jesus..saying he better answer the prayers of these small ones in deep distress.. or He himself is responsible for the lack of faith in His name..

Ok..now I'm crying...better move on..

No. I would never do that. I would assure the child I was there for them an try my best to help. Better to represent. And then I would pray to Jesus for help. I would, in happy times, teach the child to pray and hope to God I am not lying to the kid.

No need. You already have God's law written on your heart.
Others need to ask for you prayers. Their would dirty you because most that pray have morals that are less than your own.
You just have to realize that you are a Goddess WIP.
You say you have respect for Jesus. He said----have ye forgotten that ye are Gods.
A & E did it. You are further along than you think.
Think Gnostic Christian and let the rest and apotheosis just happen.
You sound a bit young. I was 39 before I could force my apotheosis.
Patience and determination are all that is required.

This also is part of what needs doing in your case. I think.

and what if you did try your best to help, by knocking on the door when you heard the screams...and went so far as to get authorities involved...who could do little without solid evidence?..and when that child was crying again.. and wanted to come into your home..but spoke no english..and it was illegal for you to bring him into your home..what do you do.?

You have all these pat little answers for your own scenarios.. but you really are not covering the whole spectrum of possibilities..

Oh..and yes.. unfortunately.. there are people placed in positions at the police force, and within the agencies..that actually cover for the child porn rings.... and if you make too much noise, in an effort to help these kids.. you can pay a big price.

Don't get me wrong..I'm not saying all of them are (in the police force and agencies).. it just takes a small few.. and in these highly sophisticated run child porn rings.. they often have key figures placed in these agencies to cover up and diffuse any evidence.

anyhow..I need to quit thinking about this..cause it makes me way too sad..

I need to add here that.. there are many great law enforcement agents who work diligently at helping these children..and I can't praise them enough for doing what must be a very tough job..

They are true heroes in my eyes.

You can only do your best. You do what you have to do.
And it must be enough. With faith...not instantly but eventually, it WILL be enough.

You do what you have to do, so when you go to sleep at night you do not say to yourself ..."I should have done this and I might have done that." You tried. You did your best. I cry nightly, so do not assume what you do not know.
400% -the increase in child abductions since the 70's. My answers are simple and you call simple pat and I do not know Pat. I know Jesus and he will soothe the soul and save the children. There is no other way to God but through Christ. Not even Joseph Campbell.

I am still giving you stars.
Starred every post of yours in the thread, even though you hurt my feelings.
Overlooking it with more than "kind words" aka "empty rhetoric"

Trying to represent...

Thank you for the kind words..but I'm not so sure I have the law of God written in my heart..

I fail to be a loving person very often.. but I guess I can just keep trying to do better.

cute..you do not know pat..that makes me laugh..I bet you know pete though..so many say for pete's sake..

In response to your answer....I see wisdom in thinking that maybe prayers are answered somehow.. sometime.. in ways that I may not see.. and maybe even through the actions of someone who does not believe in god..

I see many good souls who care very much about these issues..and would be willing to do something, even if they are atheists...so one never knows how they maybe resolved.

I guess you have missed all the hate that oozes from what are supposed to be good Christians.

I would not to count the times I have been told to turn or burn.

Scripture even says that God hates some of us. Esau being one of the stories of that hate.
Relax. If God cannot live by his standards, no one can.

Love for all is not as important as trying to not do harm.

Love, to be true love has to be returned. Those you do not know cannot love you so you not loving them is quite normal.

Remember, religions are in the guilt business and I think you have been sucked into their guilt and money making machine.

hhmm..if you mean going to church..yes.. been there .. and it was catholic..so understand the guilt part real well..

but that was more than a decade ago.. with the odd visits back may be 5 years ago.

I wouldn't say I have been sucked into it now.. but I still struggle with trying not to do harm to others..because sometimes I do so unintentionally with words, and sometimes I do so intentionally with retaliation to my own hurt.

What makes you think I've been sucked in to their guilt and money making machine? Just curious..

Don't want to take this thread off topic..but..

and yes, I have seen Christians act in very superior judgmental unloving ways..no doubt about it.. but then again..I've seen people from many types of religions act this way...and many who had no religion.

The questions I had about God and the church were very much like the op's at some point.... and I'm still trying to work through the issues i have with faith.

I see that you have not been sucked into their money making but you seem to hold guilt for things you should not.

Be more forgiving to yourself because all people are always doing the best they can with what they have and are. Love thy neighbor starts with loving yourself, (a misuse of that word perhaps,) and accepting yourself.

I apologize if I didn't understand your reference in the post I replied to..
