oh i know, trust me. i sat and personally listened to his whole shpeel in person at a congratulatory dinner for the wife of one of my ex-bosses after she won the election for State Rep of a district in Texas located in and around the area where the new Cowboys stadium is located. He was pushing pretty hard for it - i'm not saying he ever intended to go through with it, but he was pushing hard for it. my point is right along the same line as yours: he is wishy washy. he says whatever he needs to say to win over the audience he is speaking to at the moment.

You can also add in the fact that Rick Perry has never lost an election.

Forget about death and taxes. Today, there are only two sure things in life: Every few years Rick Perry will run for office, and every few years Rick Perry will grind his opponents into dust. Since 1984, the man once derided as “Governor Good Hair” has participated in ten contested elections and won all of them. A few were against relatively weak opposition, but many were against prominent figures who were expected to give Perry a run for his money. Jim Hightower, John Sharp, Tony Sanchez, Chris Bell, Carole Keeton Strayhorn, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Bill White—you could competently govern a medium-sized republic with political talent like that.

How about something that actually makes a damn.

Such as,

His ATTEMPTED mandatory gardasil vacinations for our teen and preteen girls? THAT didnt float!

(I know of 3 girls personally that had it and are now sterile).

How about the tax hike he did on small business a few years back?

Perry is going to be a dirt bag just like Barry.
