Apparently not.

The headline "Hysterical Michele Bachmann flees teenage gay activist" was taken from The Wisconsin Gazette,
which claims to be
The Voice of Progress for Wisconsin's LGBT Community.

For anyone who cares, feel free to watch the video,
and notice Michele Bachman has left the stage well before any gay activist speaks.
She did not flee, nor was she hysterical.

This thread is a hit piece, plain and simple.
Here's a link for now.

Gotta love the reality of video!!! The politically immature still don't see it. I like how she took the time to sign autographs as the "loud and proud" teenager was left clambering for someone to listen to him.

Still looking for a "hysterical" Bachmann.

Hit piece indeed! Why is the left afraid of successful, intelligent and powerful conservative women?? This is just the beginning of a loooong campaign.

And if you take away from my post "crusading my life to change human nature" then I offer you the same condolences. I dont give a flying # if someone likes me or accepts my "lifestyle". What I do expect as a US tax paying citizen is the same +-1,180 federal rights afforded by the federal government to your marriage. If that is special rights, then yes, I will take mine!

I wasn't speaking of you directly but to the gay community as a whole, there is a crusade going on as we speak and since I can get no one to speak of any rights except 1,180 rights afforded by state performed marriage, I have to assume the gay rights crusade is based one right, that being marriage.

If this is the case, put my vote in, in your favor, I have been divorced twice and wouldn't dream of depriving anyone the enjoyment of losing your house and half your net worth in long drawn out court battle, misery loves company, grab your trunks and jump on in!

Let me put it this way. Marriage is and always will be subjective except to those who feel they have a strict definition of it being only between one man and one woman and I get that I and others will never change minds on that point. Fine, however, for me, this is not about the definition of the word marriage. I dont need others to agree what my relationship is with the person that I love and spend my life with. With that being said, and like I have said, I do expect the same federal recognition that affords the 1,180 federal benefits. I or my husband should be entitled to scocial security that we have paid into as surviving benefits after spending 40 to 50 years together or how ever long that may be one day.
I currently live in South Africa and work for the US embassy as a federal employee, however I am not able to petition the US govt for a green card for my husband who is South African because they do not recognize our marriage. Oddly enough, South Africa does. This is a perfect example on both topics argued here. Is my marriage and "lifestyle" accepted socially here more than back home, no, it is not, but we at least are treated the same legally in function to everyone else in this country that is married and has not changed the definition of straight marriage or hurt anyone in any way. I expect no less from my own country.

I agree with your assessment of the video and situation but even as a Republican, surely you can not be refering to Bachmann as intelligent? Are you?

I would agree with you on that point. I also think that is reasonable to expect from your government.

If I use Obama as my intelligence benchmark, then yes she is intelligent. Actually, she is far brighter than the MSM goons make her out to be. The spotlight is always on her while ignoring the gaffes and errors in the speech of Obama and Biden.

A fence post would look like Albert Einstein next to Obama, no doubt, the man has no vision or insight nor the wit to push his poorly thought out agenda. That being said, I submit this:

In recent weeks Michele Bachmann, a candidate deeply rooted in the religious right, has adopted a mildly libertarian tone.

At the Republican primary debate in June, she said that she wouldn’t interfere with state laws allowing marriage equality (though she later contradicted herself, saying that she supported an anti-gay marriage constitutional amendment.)

Later that month, she responded to a question about homosexuality from Face The Nation by saying she wasn’t “running to be anyone's judge.” But those who follow Bachmann’s career know that her evangelical commitments are even stronger than her fierce hostility to government. On Thursday, she demonstrated that once again, becoming the first Republican presidential candidate to sign a pledge that commits her to fighting not only gay marriage, abortion, and “quickie divorce,” but also “all forms of pornography.”

The pledge goes on to imply that African-American families were in some ways better off under slavery than they are today, and argues that homosexuality can be cured.

I have a question about Bachman verses Obama. If they are all truly friends behind the scenes as many here at ATS suggest, and there is no real difference between political parties; then do you think that she is being put forth as the potential GOP front runner in order to scare others back to voting for Obama a second term? This would play right into the "powers that be" lettig people think they have voted again but places their pupet candidate in Obama back in the White House for a second term. Just a thought and something to ponder...............

Dude I really dig your avatar costume. Looks like a baseball outfit from the Gay nineties. Hummm? That's not a slam. I have nothing against a gay guy with political balls.

surely you can't be using that lame excuse again? this is the exact same crap as the last time a woman was anywhere near the white house. so we get a black president (male) and a couple pagan presidents, 10 or so deist presidents, i'm sure there were a few gay presidents in there too, but the minute she has tits, that's it. her brain is suddenly called into question. i don't want to hear another trumped up, mischaracterized, improperly slanted, piece of garbage about how she's an idiot because she can see alaska from the moon. just get off the "women are stupid" schtick.

I called her an idiot because she thinks there is a cure for being gay and she wan'ts to ban all pornography not because she "has tits". Get off your high horse buddy.

i'm female. and i was totally humiliated and embarrased because of my gender during the whole fiasco with sarah palin. people treated her HORRIBLY. they said some of the worst things, made up complete nonsense, went out of their way to mischaracterize everything she did and said. it was about as bad as the constant attacks on obama, who clearly is not stupid, nor is he singularly to blame for the current problems in the world.

i'm a ron paul supporter. i just do NOT want to endure another year of people treating a bright, successful woman like a piece of human garbage on these forums. PLEASE! not more! not again. not again. no freaking more!

It is your opinion that anyone who is openly gay is living in sin. You believe this because you think your book says so. Not everyone believes in your book. Not everyone wants to hear about your book. This is not a website based on religious beliefs. If you want to spread the good word then do so elsewhere. Pointless debate on faith which is not fact is not the point of this thread.

No where did I say that, so next time
get your facts straight or just stop trolling..

I have never had a gay person shove their sexuality in my face.
Perhaps you are drinking at the wrong bars.

Just beautiful. Perfect response.

And to Dark Ghost....Well it doesn't make you a progressive! What you are saying is similar to that oh so imfamous line: " I'm not racist......BUT...."

Now....I am off to go shove my heterosexuality in some ones face...Just so someone can truthfully say that someone shoved sexuality in their face.

I have no problem referring to her as "intelligent", in fact the evidence is overwhelming. She has a JD as well as a LL.M and was a practicing tax attorney for the IRS for 15 years. She may occasionally say crazy things but I have no doubt she is intelligent.

Don't need to go to a Gay Bar to see the Homosexual lifestyle glamorized by the media - just switch on your TV, radio or watch the latest movie. Or in this case, attend a political rally where Gay activists will heckle you with their LGBT propaganda garbage!

So gay people shove their sexuality in your face through your television?
Um...did you ever stop to think it might be the shows you watch?
Shut off "Glee" and check out "Dual Survival" or something for crying out loud.

I will say again. No gay people ever shove anything in my face. Not their sexuality, not cake. Why it happens to you through the shows you watch and the rallies you go to is beyond me but those are your choices. I am still trying to figure out how to have something shoved in my face from my television. Little help?

Palin quit office to be on TV.
Bachmann submits to her husband and spent 15 years collecting taxes only to claim to be the teabagger savior.

Where is the right hiding the successful, intelligent, AND powerful women?

Maybe there is a new 3D gay network?

Other than that.... Doesn't really happen....

That is a good point. I just have like one of those basic cable packages so I miss out on a lot of channels these days. I can only imagine what that food network must be like.

Wrong. Palin quit as governor to stop the endless and baseless ethics violation lawsuits filed by Democrats. It doesn't matter that she won all of them. The financial strain on her and the state defending against them was becoming too much and impairing her ability to serve as governor. If anything Palin's resignation is one of the strongest arguments yet for tort reform. Of course tort reform is never going to happen as long as the American Bar Association is one of the Democrats biggest campaign contributors.
