This is a call into the void; I call upon the free thinkers, the liberators, the emancipated and enlightened of this forum to answer. I do not expect my hopes to be fulfilled, but that is why they are hopes.

I thought I would bring a few resources to the attention of what few sensible people remain on ATS. These resources pertain to the WAR AGAINST SEX, just one element of the CRUSADE AGAINST HUMANITY.

This is a sample from the Intro on the website War On Sex:

Today's domestic conservative/fundamentalist political and social movements present a clear (though horrifically distorted) picture of sexuality. It's a narrative of danger and, therefore, of fear; a narrative of sin and, therefore, of self-destructiveness. Erotophobes typically describe their fear in socially acceptable terms: protecting children, supporting marriage, preventing disease, honoring women, sympathizing with the problematic "male sexual psyche".

But they really fear sexuality, as they understand it--its awesome power, the temptation to sin, the inevitable destructive decision-making surrounding it, the clear distinction between acceptable activities and unacceptable activities. And so they have launched a War on Sex. Not just their own sexuality-everyone's. Their goals are consistent, their strategy coherent. They can frame it in any civic language they want, but it's actually a War on Sex.

The War on Sex is something that we can see operating in many theatres of American and international liberal-democratic society. Homosexuality is currently in the crosshairs; as gay marriage is being legalized by more and more jurisdictions, the reaction against it becomes stronger and louder. Gay marriage is now the central social issue for conservatives in America because there are so many states legalizing it. Homosexuality is a hot topic in Africa; the evangelical missionaries and their native proxies are agitating to have homosexuals put to death. This African theatre, funded by American missions and "democratic" NGOs, is opposed by the UN's recent declaration that homosexual rights are human rights. But, the struggle against homosexuality is a losing battle. The real victory to be had by the erotophobes is in the War on Children.

BEHOLD:

The age group with by far the largest number of convictions for sex offenses are people between 14 and 20 years old. These are, almost all of them, consensual acts of sex between kids with somebody who is about 2 or 3 years younger than them. There are 19,000 minors on sex offender registries nationally. 19,000! Some of these people are as young as 11 years old.

Kids are being arrested for taking naked pictures of themselves—this is called sexting—and sending them on their cellphones to their friends. So the person can be a perpetrator and a victim of child pornography production at the same time! Then the friends who receive the images are now in possession. Being caught for child pornography is no small thing. It is a federal crime and the penalties for it are four times higher, in general, than they are for murder. So if a kid gets prosecuted for one of these things they are in deep trouble and, as with all sex crimes, they will be on a sex offender registry afterwards.

"Child" sexuality is the main vector for the War Against Sex at present. Crying "Think about the children!!!" is the main weapon in this war, provoking the public-at-large into a senseless rage against anyone and anything that the provoker desires to see destroyed. The very notion that "children" (anyone under the legally defined age of majority) can have healthy sexual feelings and expression is the central target in this war. The reasoning is simple. If you can destroy someone's sexuality at an early age, then you can destroy it for a lifetime. It is difficult to "cure" adult homosexuals, but it is easy to "cure" children of desiring sex. As the above link says about "sex abuse therapy,"

What do they learn from it? As one kid who went through this said, "I learned that sex is bad."
As the above link also explains, the government is constantly expanding the legal definition of "childhood" because this is an emotional trigger-word that allows them to get away with criminalizing entirely healthy and safe behaviours. I speak now only to the reasonable people reading this post; is it not conceivable that a "child" could engage in healthy sexual activity? Do you have any knowledge, any memory, any experience that vindicates this? Think about statistics; children as young as 12 are engaging in sex more and more frequently, or at least are becoming more open and honest with investigators and pollsters. Are they all being abused, or are they enjoying it? We must think about these things that may offend our sensibilities, because to let our wimpy morals get in the way is to let the more insidious agenda win in this war.

Why are Sex and Drugs so loathed by the right wing? Those who are with me so far will know instinctively. It is a rejection of everything embodied by the Love Generation. It is a rejection of the transcendent, ecstatic power of mind-manifesting substances and sexual communion. It is a rejection of the heretical (ha!) New Age notion that by being outside of oneself, by joining souls with others, one can become greater and healthier. It is a rejection of that ultimate Protestant movement against established religion which says that the ecstatic experience makes divinity immediate and accessible, without the need for false sacraments, bogus rituals, and paranoid delusions of hellfire and bogeymen. It is a rejection of sacred sex and true sacraments that make organized, fascistic religions unnecessary and liberate us in ways that no amount of doctrinal disputation can.

Our enemies in the War Against Consciousness, the War Against Sex, the War Against Drugs, are not the idiot masses that follow the most outraged demagogues. They are honest, easily misled, and ultimately powerless individuals. However, we warrior-monks of the psychic revolution are under constant assault by morons and have to keep our senses about us. The real enemies are the insulated and untouchable ideologues who script the demagogues who incite the mobs. They are unassailable. Our only hope is to draw to us those disaffected with the mob, but overwhelmed and lost, unable to find their way to safer psychic shores. We must be steadfast in our efforts to elucidate the mob and express our convictions clearly, not because we expect to convert anyone, but because it is the only way to make public the fact that we exist. We cannot allow the hordes of anti-life to wash away the free and the brave; we must be beacons of liberty and humanity.

The war against consciousness is winning, but we can turn the tides. This is a call to those who wish to discuss the war against sex as it pertains to that most liberating human activity. This is a message for those who are as annoyed by the anti-sex morons as I am.

Agreed for the most part. Sex is natural and I believe that over time, the species will be able to disconnect it from notions of anything other than a physical act. That said, it'll take time. I still cling to the old ways as well.

That said, can I suggest you edit your post? Your first remarks are mildly inflammatory and you're automatically discounting any opposing view before they have a chance to make their case.

On the whole, I agree, Good post.

"War on sex"? What world are you living in?

Almost every movie made has sex in it, or at least sexual innuendos / erotic acts... Even Harry Potter and Disney / Pixar films. War on sex? You mean those commercials I see with nearly naked women claiming I should drink Pepsi? If there even IS a "war on sex", sex is clearly winning... so you can stop complaining.

Why don't you just rename this thread what it's really about; "I wanna have sex with kids / in public / get laid without having to court the person / see naked women everywhere, etc"? Everyone that argues "sex is natural and should be everywhere" usually fall into at least one of the following categories;

1. They wanna diddle kids / young teens.
2. They just wanna oogle topless women.
3. They can't get laid with our views of sex as it currently is.

Which one are you?

That's a good point as well.

But you too are being inflammatory and you know that.

I see where this is going so I'm gonna jump ship on this thread. Good luck everyone lol.

The whole world is quickly spiraling into total burning hell and here I see a thread describing how 'awful' some war is on... sex???? SEX??? HUH??

Who has such a sheltered life to be worrying about a war on sex right now while the whole country and world is collapsing all around at this very moment?? Is a war on sex really a matter to be concerned with at this time in history?????

Am I tuning into a forum on another planet here?? What planet is my ISP providing my internet connection from here?? Must not be earth because earth has about a zillion more appropriate concerns to worry about than a war on ...sex.

Jeez.

WOW! are really that closed minded and narrow sighted? Gee whiz I think your post was full of assumptions and indoctrinated beyond a doubt, bashing someone else like that. What you just did was use spin and demigoguery to automatically put into people's minds that the OP is a raving pervert. I am not bashing you at all Adyta but why the pointing fingers like that unless you have proof instead of making the OP fit into your preconcieved notion of how everything is "supposed to be". He did ask you in his OP that to keep an open mind didn't he....Yep.... So, keep an open mind before you start railing accusations that are baseless. Thanks Adyta for your post.

I think that part of the problem with sex today is that it is disconnected from anything emotional or spiritual on the one hand (by the sex industry), and then demonized as inherently wicked and unhealthy on the other (by religious people). The sex industry incites opposition; liberal humanists decry it as dehumanizing and unhealthy because of the way it objectifies women, men, children, animals et cetera.

This critique by humanists is hijacked by religious nuts who think that sex is "sinful," as if the best thing ever can be bad. They dishonestly use the humanists' arguments to support a bogus claim that recreational or spiritual sex is unhealthy. The only sex they permit is dutiful, boring, slavish sex to produce more drones for the Church's hivemind.

Sex ought to be engaged in and worshiped by people who recognize its inherent virtue and relish the pleasure of cosmic union that it embodies.

It is -untrue- that religious people demonize sex as wicked and unhealthy. I listen to Christian talk radio, and some of the shows they have on, counseling about how two people can enjoy each other more in the marital bed, gets a little racy. Religious people are fine with men and women married, they can swing from shandaleirs in Bill and Hillary costumes if they want. Religious people have problems with unnatural stuff that leads to psychological and physical ruin. Thats just the way it is. "Get used to it".

Your comments on the sex and children is fairly disturbing. Pedophilia is a crime for many reasons and should absolutely by discouraged.

The sexualization of children has paced the increase in childhood pregnancies. When older folks go after these children they take away the child's ability to experience and learn these things on their own.

And I am against the current "lets all be whores/ man-whores" movement because it is a total drag on society and waste of energy. Intimacy also goes out the window.

The whole gay movement thing is kind of LoL as they marriage comes from the church and nature not the state yet they demand someone write down on a piece of paper that it is okay for them to do it.

So what is argument supporting sex with children? and Multiple partners?
Does your answer go beyond I want to bust a nut tonight?
Take a long term point of view and think about he impact on society of all this? Does it make people better?

That OP was awful, I really fear for the sanity of the people who think those things and say sex is bad.

Sure, rape and adults having sex with children is evil and vile but sex between consenting adults is a wonderful thing. I really don't understand their viewpoint.

I agree with your gay marriage view. I finally gave up arguing it though and just let freedom ring.

On one point though, you are mistaken. Teen pregnancy has actually fallen.

Absolutely.
I have to agree with pretty much everything you said. I don't really feel you on any sort of cosmic energy vibe or anything but who could deny it's the most pleasureful feeling on Earth? Man if that's wrong, I don't wanna be right.

btw I'm back lol

Sorry I should include abortions in there also. As the sexuization practices have included the fanatic support and has increased abortion rates. Personally the entire movement's aim is to destroy appreciation for fellow humans.

I totally dig it, bro. The cosmic union vibe is nice, but it's not the only thing. As the old hedonists would say, "if it feels good, this is a sure sign that it is Good." Enjoying mutual pleasure is a way to embrace what is good and right and its just an intellectual or spiritual exercise to bring in the cosmic union thing.

My partner and I both dig the cosmic union vibe, and it is awesome in the old meaning; it inspires wonder and spiritual ecstasy. I'm not going to look down on plain old great sex (how could I!?) but I definitely recommend treating it like a sacrament! It's a shame that our society has stripped away and muddled whatever healthy sexual habits it once encouraged. Reading the Kama Sutra (the phenomenal, illustrated Deepak Chopra adaptation is linked in the OP, iirc) is a lot of fun. The paintings are gorgeous and deeply erotic.

P.S. I am glad I went with the rhetoric that I did in the OP. MasterGemini and Adyta, well-meaning though they [may] be, are proof positive that the War on Sex is working. I appreciate your tolerant and patient responses to my deliberately exclusive OP.

P.P.S. It feels so good to meet another logic hawk on ATS!

You distorted what I said in the OP, you clearly did not read the linked articles which are essential to its claims, and you set up a strawman argument, accusing me of justifying pedophilia. I will not go into any further detail on this point. You can read the OP and all linked articles, in the order that they are linked, and you will plainly see why I think that you are on the side of the Anti-Sex League.
