#1 The crisis at the Fort Calhoun nuclear facility in Nebraska has received almost no attention in the national mainstream media.

Back on June 7th, there was a fire at Fort Calhoun. The official story is that the fire was in an electrical switchgear room at the plant. The facility lost power to a pump that cools the spent fuel pool for approximately 90 minutes. According to the Omaha Public Power District, the fire was quickly extinguished and no radioactive material was released.

I’m addicted to finding the truth, and when the economy is headed towards a cliff, there’s nothing but bad news.

America can NEVER repay its debts. The entitlement programs are going bankrupt. And inflation / hyperinflation will erode what’s left of the Dollar’s value.

There’s a lot of important news right now that is just not being reported. People need to know so that they can take action. It’s going to get worse and many people will not survive the upcoming crisis.

Awesome, because of the excellent work on ATS I do know about all of these, well, except the North Korean thing! I think if anyone has an EMP machine they would use it!

I don't watch MSM so I am certain that they are hush-hush as always!

I do not think we will become a fascist state nor do I believe we will become Communist; we already have turned Social Progressive/Socialist to the umpteenth degree but that is all going to come to an end once the New Madrid cracks open and spills the Great Lakes into the Gulf!

We will be fragmented, but not any less than North Americans as we pull ourselves out and care for our "poor", our "tired", and our "huddled masses"!

This is one of the main reasons I joined ATS. I no longer rely on anything that the main stream media has to report on. They are just more corporate puppets.Just like the governmernt. I actually had no clue what was going on in Nebraska until I read it here.That is rather sad considering how much time I spend on the internet and TV.

If North Korea has that weapon, they should use it against the US.

Like others have said...this is why i come to ATS....with subscribers all over the world, I know about an incident long before it hits the main stream media outlets.

The whole thing is like sitting outside someone's house...there they are eating dinner and talking...oblivious to the fact that the enitre upstaitrs is engulfed in flames.

I have just recent started playing that game. It is a very disturbing game, but i think it brings to light the fact that it could happen, and we should be prepared. I find it funny... 11 days after the nuclear disaster..the game was released, referencing the disaster IN the game. Last i checked it takes many months to code a videogame, and would take some time to add that in. So was it already coded in the game before?

This is why I joined ATS. I am sick of watching the news and hearing about Weiner's wiener, Hugh Heffner's botched almost-marriage, and Justin Beiber's new hair cut.

The cracks going through Peru and Michigan was completely new to me, and I could not believe I haven't heard that before in normal news. The NASA report about preparedness shocked me as well.

Yep, we have to do our justice now.

As we begin the shift into the last half of this year and move into 2012, we cannot help but sit back and watch, with apprehensive anticipation for what is yet to come. Our world around us is changing; physically, socially, mentally metamorphosing into something we have never experienced as a species. Over the next months and through the coming year these events will continue to grow. It has become undeniable that we are placed on the cusp of something grand, something larger than ourselves. Over the weekend, Prof. Wayne Pennington, a geologist from Michigan Technological University, went out to the site. He says the ridge that formed around the crack suggests an earthquake that was simply too small for seismographs in the area to detect.

How can a quake that is too small for seismographs to detect cause a 120 foot long, 5 foot deep crack in the Earth? Seriously?

What? Where? Is this just in the USA or are these global "no fly zones" ie; Lybia, Iraq Pakistan Etc.? Does anyone know where these new no fly zones are or have a guess as to why they have been issued?

Click the link and read the article from the OP; these are all in the continental U.S.; some are for air shows, some for fighting fires(hazards), etc., some are listed for security; also so you can't fly over the flooded nuke plants...
