Yes but like I said before.

Did cavemen fantasise about a threesome with two cave-chicks whilst a sabertooth tiger urinates on them all? Probably not.

Actually, they probably did. You can even see animals in the wild doing odd sexual things. However, I don't think that sexual fantasies involving non-sexual situations are normal... That doesn't really have anything to do with the topic.

Thats your Fantasy? Damn dude....

Look, When I was single I went to Bars and Dance clubs to find the hottest woman there, take her back to my house, and have lots of drunken sex.

All of those single women at that bar, or club went there for the exact same reason I did.

You are a man, don't apologize for that.

I understand sexual urges are natural...

Its the unnatural objectification of women through the media that I am addressing. The extent of it is amazing and has led to a major lack of respect for women and may have directly or indirectly caused a lot of sexual crimes.

Possibly even helped form paedophiles?

You weren't just watching ''Saw II'', were you ?

Seriously though, normal heterosexual men usually look for the physical, ''sexual'' qualities in a woman first, no matter what the overall situation is.

It's got nothing to do with the media ''objectifying'' anyone. That's just a scapegoat which makes some people feel better about themselves....

No one really knows what kind of sexual fantasy's cavemen had, so asserting that they probably didn't have the fantasy you described is not even an educated guess. Beyond that, are you suggesting that we were better as men when we were cavemen? Do you honestly believe cavemen weren't objectifying women as sexual beings?

To add to this, it can be seen in art around the world all throughout history that women always HAVE been objectified in some way. Sexualization is just simply human nature. I don't think it's a conspiracy, it's just the way we are... People in charge of making movies or tv shows or whatever will inevitably pander to sexual desires.

I'll try to keep this short..

I have to admit I was disgusted at myself when watching a film earlier. A woman was crawling along the floor, tense scene, guy with a chainsaw about to kill her and everything. I noticed that I couldn't stop looking at her behind and even found myself fantasising about having sex with this person I'm never going to meet.

But that's not all I noticed. I also noticed that I along with most males think like this all the time. ALL THE TIME. Now If you are male and you reply saying this makes me a disgusting person then look in the mirror because this is what the majority of males are like.

Why is the world like this?

This is all due to the thorough objectification of women through the media and even partly due to the principles of archaic religion. It has been programmed into our heads. Women are objects. Women are good for nothing except sex.

When you see a woman on T.V is she 'Physically unattractive' ? Usually not. But guys? They can be the ugliest people going and still represent a corporation or media outlet on T.V.

Don't think that because I can't help staring at women with a gormless expression that I have no respect for women. That is far from the case.

Women have to deal with periods and childbirth bro. That stuff is not for me.

Bro, it's alot more simple than you seem to think. Human beings are highly evolved animals, ever notice how other males in the animal kingdom act when it's mating time? Most of them fight, some of them to the death for a piece of tail it takes them all of 20 seconds to finish with.

Most men do everything in there life for only one reason....... To get tail, you get out of bed to go to work to have things to attract women, you buy new clothes, get your hair cut, trim you junk hair and try to be cool to get tail. Don't get all bothered cause you couldn't help staring at a female backside as she was crawling on her hands and knees and it got you excited cause all that means is that you have a penis and your heart is still pumping blood.

A lot of people obviously don't understand me. Probably due to my tendency to tangent and not make myself clear.

I understand natural sexual urges and why they are there. Sexual urges are natural but there are UNNATURAL urges, behaviours and mindsets that have been aided in their development by the media.

That is unquestionable.

We aren't talking about natural urges here. Why can't some people get that into their heads and refrain from posting the same points?

Go back and think of the scene. The camera was most likely positioned so you would see her from behind. Most of the time in horror films, men expect the woman they're with to get scared and huddle against them. Add this to the scene where they're showing the victim's behind and you have made a great live situation for the male viewer.

I can't stand the waypop music and other forms of music add sexualized lines and their videos are designed to entice sexuality. I mean - come on! The majority of their fans are, what?, 7-16? The message they are selling thesegirls is to be slutty and that instant gratification is the best thing ever. Morals are being corrupted before the girls even reach maturity. Hey, why not! It's the "cool" thing to do! Rhianna and Beyonce said so! I don't think it helps that the First Lady's favorite artist is Beyonce. A woman who is always half naked! What message is this sending?

But, I digress and don't want to derail the thread with my disgust for how young girls are being programmed to behave.

The media will always be most concerned with entertaining the male part of the audience. This isn't just in movies and T.V., but it is especially rampant in radio. Makes me sick! But this is the world that is being created around us. I wish there was some way to stop the corruption of the youth and make art classy and tasteful again, but how?

I'd like to go back to a time when men had to use their imaginations and work to see what's under the woman's clothes!

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't cavemen presumed to have taken women by force as a normal practice? I would also bet there fights, serious ones probably on occasion resulting in death over women.

Our brains have become more civilized but I doubt our bodies, needs, wants or desires have, my two cents anyway.

Your original post had nothing whatsoever to do with any kind of unnatural sexual urges.
Give us some examples of where you think that unnatural sexual urges and fantasies are being pushed on us by the media.

I agree.
He's also making it sound as though the cave women were helpless creatures, which I seriously doubt.
Take Spartan women, for example. If a woman's man was away at war and another man tried to get with her, he'd get a run for his money and probably a major beat down!

Movies exist to show us what we want to see; seeing a woman's backside in a movie is not odd or unusual.
One could just as easily argue that there is a conspiracy to sexualize men in movies and tv shows.

It is most certainly questionable. The decadence of Rome is well documented, and many historians attribute their proclivity towards sexual perversion as being part of their downfall. Biblically, we have Babylon. Sexual perversity is not a new phenomenon fueled by media.

I hear you, about the (10-to-25 age, or thereabouts) demographic. What do you think of these paranormal hunting shows where the female team members look nearly like prostitutes? The PARANORMAL for God's sake. Jeeeeez. Gimmee a freakin break!

By the way, why is the above demographic so PRIORITYover all others? Don't you notice how a lot of those are between jobs and or live with mother or girlfriend? Like I said, sexualization conspiracy.

One off the top of my head.

Young under age girls dancing provocatively.

Is that natural? Encouraging girls who are not even naturally ready to have sex for the natural reasons?

A caveman probably wouldn't have had sex with a 8 year old girl who hasn't started puberty yet. If we are talking on an instinctual basis wouldn't a caveman be attracted by a girl who is 'in heat' or sexually active?

Well, boo-hoo, I'm disgusted by the complex men like you have.

Why is the world like this?

See: History. >Genetics [hormones]

This is all due to the thorough objectification of women through the media and even partly due to the principles of archaic religion. It has been programmed into our heads. Women are objects. Women are good for nothing except sex.

Programmed in our DNA is more like it.

Janet Wood Reno (born July 21, 1938) is a former Attorney General of the United States (1993–2001).[1] She was nominated by President Bill Clinton on February 11, 1993, and confirmed on March 11. She was the first female Attorney General and the second longest serving Attorney General after William Wirt.

You don't respect women, if you did you wouldn't look at them like they are helpless innocent creatures. You would look at them as a lot more, because they are far from how you describe them. And your description of men is about as skewed.

It saddens me that there are people out there that can't be proud of who and what they are. Women can respect you for being a guy, and for all the androgenic behaviors that come with it. If you want to respect them, don't look at them in such a condescending light.

It's funny that you mention this, because I was going to mention this myself. As a woman, I HATE the women's clothes that are in the stores these days. I mean, seriously, I pretty much have to wear dress clothes or men's t-shirts, because everything else that's out there is short, tight tops and skimpy jean shorts. Not every woman wants to dress this way. Also, I have been called a (not so nice word for a lesbian) by men numerous times because I refuse to adhere to the "dress code".

What I want to know is why it matters what someone wears? Is that how you determine how you treat people? By what clothes they wear?

Ok, that is a much better example. I do know that sex is being marketed to children... I recall seeing pole-dancing lessons for 3 year olds and "fashion shows" of young girls wearing lingerie-looking outfits, as well as the multitudes of other examples.
BUT... I can't really agree that it isn't too far out of normalcy for it to happen. While I'll agree with most people that it's disgusting, it does happen, and often, that men (or women) are attracted to children. This is actually common in some cultures, for example in Afghanistan, where they have those "dancing boys" parties.

But yes, I think it's wrong and physically abnormal... That doesn't mean it doesn't commonly happen, though.

Edit to add, just to be clear, I'm not defending pedophiles. I think they're #ing disgusting. I'm just saying it happens.

I never looked at women in a condescending light. I was pointing out the effect the media has had on modern day sex. The part about me watching a movie was merely mention of how I realised this.

Please don't attack me and accuse me of such things. Maybe in your opinion my view is condescending but from where I'm standing my viewpoint is most definitely not meant to be condescending.

If you took it this way I apologise. Not because you're a woman and you deserve special treatment.

Because you are a fellow human being.

Calm down now.

I believe it is all about desensitization. Get them when they're young, then it will seem normal later. I have a theory about this, but I don't want to derail the thread. I haven't watched much of the Ghost Shows, but I can't stand the crap MTV puts on such as Sixteen and Pregnant. I also was totally disguested when they started showing The Fifth Wheel and other "soft core porn" shows on local channels when kids would be just coming home from school. Morals have totally gone out the window.

There is certainly a sexualization conspiracy. Scientists say that our basic needs are controlled by our reptillian brains. This includes food, drink, and sex. What do most companies use to sell their products? Our basic animal needs. We've allowed ourselves to become so dumbed down that we rely on our basic needs to decide what we want/need in our lives instead of using common sense. Our ability to decern between what we need and what we want is so blurred anymore. It's all due to programming.

It's no mistake that all the programming is for the benefit of the male species either.
