I was following this thread in the wee hours of the morn. The MSM is reporting that there was a malfunction with the helicopter, and POTUS was watching the entire scenario in real-time. I guess he likes a gory real-time movie once in a while. We are not allowed to see the actual shooting, but we do get to see the blood-stained persian rug in one of the rooms. My conspiracy theory is that something went wrong with the helicopter and the Prez was on hand to view it going down in flames, later it could be declared that the mission went bad and oops Bin Ladin escaped into the nearby mountains, but the guys went ahead with the mission anyways and got him and Obama still gets the glory.

But seriously, they say it took, like, 8 months to gather info and prepare for this mission.

Did anyone already notice that in Obama's own speech hey juridically tells they shot him AFTER the firefight.

Oh, come on now....you know good and well that it is plausible that OBL slept soundly through 39 minutes and 55 seconds of firefighting.

Seriously, I'm certain that OBL was cowered away in the most central stronghold of the compound trying to delay the inevitable.

I wonder how they are going to exsplain this one. Blood on the floor. Only means that were dragged out of bed and killed. So, Why, did they not capture him alive, end said. To be put on trial. They wanted to keep a lid on it so that he could not say anytning.

Yeah, the world is definitely a better place without OBL - but In retrospect, wouldn't it have been better if they had captured him alive?

They certainly could have gotten very important intelligence through their enhanced interrogation techniques or by other alternative set of procedures perhaps?

(even if I personally hate the idea of torture - but they have an earlier history of using this against even smaller fishes)

I mean, this supposedly was the big fish, their largest trophy - the boogeyman and the number one prize!

And they just executed this fountain of insider knowledge on the spot like that without any interrogation at all

Or maybe he was silenced - execution style? too dangerous to keep alive if certain information came out of this - perhaps huge embarrassment for both the government in Islamabad and certain governments in the West?

He was the hero for many of these indoctrinated and brainwashed radical idiots - so why making a martyr out of him for these radicals?

I think that having OBL in custody and on display would have more propaganda value, and it certainly would've been a bigger blow and defeat for the radical extremist movement, than making him a martyr.

Many peculiar things regarding the story of this event do not make any sense at all!

Well, at least the story of the very urgent dumping of the body in the ocean is just one thing that is more than fishy and a little hard to buy into right now IMHO!

firstly, they knew the exact layout of the property, windows, entrance, corridors, etc.
secondly, they knew exactly where everyone was on the property via thermal imaging.
1 group/chopper could have flown into/overhead the compound, rapelled down and breached in seconds...

and yea...the other groups did other stuff they were supposed to do...like kill the the couriers, calm the kids down, round up the women. secure the area. then they looked for goodies like laptops, documents, child porn? cash...# takes time man...like 39 mins of your life...and the chopper crashed...else they would have got out much faster

Oh, by the way, they do not say that room is where OBL was killed. There were some others around apparently. It was supposedly a place where OBL "once" had slept.

1) is it likely she would do that?
2) she would have spoken his name in Arabic. how the hell did the SEALS, during a firefight, catch his Arabic name?

Also, it is my understanding they seized some documents or materials from the compound as well. Perhaps they had found plans for future missions and whatnot.

Also, you have to consider how much control there was to begin with in the heat of the moment...

First off, it makes no sense to hold him (publically)...the body is gone (as far as we are told...however, whats to say he isn't currently in chains being brought to some dark hellhole to forever be tortured for information and for the lulz).

Now, lets say that he was executed...was it by the nod of the president..or rather a few guys seeing this person in front of them, sticking their gun in his eye, doing some mind farking for awhile, then boom...passion kill I guess you could say.

theres alot of speculation that can go on...the dumping of the body then might be because they didn't want to show how it wasn't a distance shot, but rather a execution shot, which could cause all sorts of disruptions across the community.

Ummm ok American version Osama, Arabic version Usama and it's doubtful she would have said his full name in the midst of firefights.
